Yep, this was friday night videos. The only place I ever saw this vid other than the tube. Speaking of things being cheaper, I'm looking at some old stubs. Priest/Krokus $14, 1986/ AC/DC and Yngvei Malmsteen: $14. Three Years ago I paid $60 to see Nickelback. Although two years ago I saw Finger11 and 3 doors down for $30 at the Toldeo Zoo ampitheatre. I remember payin $32 to see Aerosmith on the Pump tour. That was very steep at the time.
this is a very kickass video. but music videos now dont make sense anymore. ever since pop became "popular" with little kids its all about pillow fights and rappers talking about screwing whores. its easy as hell to make money doing pop and rap, but actually playing rock n roll takes very big balls. R.I.P. Duane and DJB
I remember Friday Night Videos very fondly. For those of us who didn't have cable and couldn't watch MTV, this was where I got my video fix. FNV started in 1983, two years after MTV debuted. Then around 1987, they shortened it to an hour and had guest hosts eating up too much air time.
this isnt southern rock.this is a alright song but you play this for a 100 people and i dont think very many would have a clue who it is.this sounds like some girl based band like eddie money, kixs, loverboy hell i cant remember thier names but it sounds like a girl song.they came to my town for a outside show about 5 years ago and i thought i was seeing ozzy??yeah.they started the show with the crazy church organ midevil music and that there just sucked.they jammed but nothing like the old molly
Molly Hatchet in studio was great, but live even better. I just pulled out 1985's "Double Trouble Live." I must have played that a couple hundred times. They were real guys making real music - no pretension with them. Rest in peace all the southern rockers who've passed on - Billy Powell being the latest. We gotta end this curse. The south's gotta rise again.
I got the Album "Live Double Trouble" and there are two songs on there that ain't on the CD.."Walk on the side of the Angels" and "Walk with you"...two dang good songs they just deleted. They could have made it a double CD..I feel like I got ripped off...
Do you remeber "The Blue Jean Network" from the late 70's? AFter that Casey Kasem had a show on late on Sat. night where you could catch a vid or two. Then of course Solid Gold and then Friday night Vids and the MTV gen. Anybody seen old footage of these shows?
My humble opinion is one of the best (if not the best) song of Molly Hatchet. Funny video: This is one video, but in this video on the radio can hear another MH song (it's hard to remind me in this moment what's a song) - funny connection :)
