@CaliMexx1 if you were to read only that character 삶 you'd read it as 삼 or sam. but that word (life) is almost always used with a particle attached like the pertenence particle 의, the subject/topic particles 이/은, the object particle 을, etc. So in that case if you have for example 삶의 you'd read salme, if you had 삶이 you'd read salmi etc. it's the same for all 4 charactered syllables.
