So my neighbor #VIDEOPOSTERID# finally told me how he started dunking, he s not even as tall as me but leaps over a foot higher! So he took the training plan over at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | and gained over 15 inches in his vertical jump!
Definitly not. Depends on the situation though. If you do a break and want to reverse the direction, then the crossover start is the fastet way to do it.
yeah but in this video they are not changing direction. My point is that id smoke anyone off the line with my start if they try their crossover start.
Mature conversation? You're the one running around telling everyone that you're a better skater than them. Just leave it be. That perfect skating technique video, he's a better skater than anyone I've ever seen in my years involved with the sport and your videos only prove that you want attention and don't have the skill to back it up. So don't come at me and call me immature.
although that start is okay, it delays your 2nd foot from getting the pushoff which could slow you down. So in this video his left leg would take longer to get a push. I demonstrate a regular start in my videos, but its a matter of preference i guess

I bet the only reason you think it slows you down is cause you fall over when you try it and can't get your fat ass back up off the ice.

Right, a chop start is better.
Chop start is where you start out in normal stance, and chop your legs forward as if your skates are cutting a tree.
goalie14 4 years ago
well why dont you show me a video of you starting faster than me with a chop start?
MikeAnthony36 4 years ago
