  • You missed a lot, man. Chicken feet is one of the best dim sum dishes. Why are westerners so squirmish about eating chicken or for that matter, duck feet?

  • @trent8002003 this is a very valid question. i'm not sure why -- in our culture -- we shun many foods. i guess if i grew up eating it at a young age, it wouldn't faze me at all.

  • thanks man! i so want to go back and spend more time there.

  • nice video. take a bit longer next time ..hahaha

  • @alancwwong i'll be back for round 2!

  • i love that chicket feet... it good. i age before....i like it..

  • I love videos from u guys!! matter of fact, i was born in hong kong and you guys could do and eat a lot more if you've stayed there longer! Love foods in HK =)

  • wow pretty good video about hongkong :P :D

  • @LegendsXXboy thanks so much

  • did u try the fishball as well? lol

  • i honestly don't remember. i think we had a shrimp ball, but not sure.

  • ic, u must try it next time!

  • the chicken feet is soo good..

don't let the name scare you=(

  • lol..yes..i will try them the next time i'm in hong kong.

  • I was once scared of the chicken feet. Now it's a dim-sum must have for me. Like sammytsai said... don't be fooled by its look.

  • i'll try it...funny enough, i didn't realize when i ordered it what it was.

  • i "chickened out"...lol

  • @channel131guy

too bad matt just lick it..and spit it out..

the thing about chicken feet is the skin and the meat..

mostly the skin i'd say cuz not much meat on it.

So what the chicken skin is that its suppose to be nicely steamed/marinated with black beans.

    >Also curious where is channel131 guy traveling next =P

  • The Dim Sum workers are likely migrant workers from Mainland China, and doesn't speak English as well as the locals.

  • makes sense.

  • Wow, I do also love your videos! Very nice job and that was really funny to see how you didn't know that were chicken legs xD

In less than 2 weeks I'll be in Hong Kong yeahhh.

By the way, were you guys in Hong Kong in summer? And if so, was it really busy?

  • Nice video, good effort.

Spent too much time on the 'Dim Sum' part... Overall, your video is very impressive!!! I agreed with sisisze2007, you need to visit Ocean Park (ideally avoid peak hours or school holidays) next time you visit HK.

  • thanks kennive...i appreciate you checking it out and writing your comments. i hope to get back to hong kong someday. we only had 40 hours there -- most certainly not enough time.

  • ^^

    Welcome to Hong Kong

    I'm Hongkonger

As for me,when I have spare time

My family and I would go to the Chinese restaurant ~~I like dim sum very much

@@Have you ever been to Ocean park or HK Disneyland@@?

  • thanks for looking at my video! i'm glad you liked it! i was only in hong kong for 2 days, so no, i didn't make it to ocean park. i would love to come back to hong kong and see more. it is such a beautiful city!

  • LOL its funny how they try to speak chinese to you when youre talking in english

  • Please Let Me Know Where You Get Your Music,It's Enchanting.Love Your Videos. You're Soooooooo Lucky.

  • the music is bebel gilberto...a song called simplesmente...remix. i love it!

  • thank you! i'm glad you liked it!

  • Nice video.

  • By the way. Now I'm addicted to your travel videos. So casual and informative style. Will check them all out. Keep up the great work. I'm from Oregon. So you can imagine the wonderful overstimulation Hong Kong had on me. Had creases in my forhead for a week after coming home from having my eyes open so wide for the whole 2 weeks there. :)

  • Wonderful video. I visited for 2 weeks in 1987. My first time in a metropolitan city. what a great time I had. My friend lived on Lantau Island and we would take the fast boat in every afternoon after sleeping off the fun from late night before in Wanchai. (We were big drinkin' partiers back then). He had lived there for 3 years as a salesman of fishing boat supplies. So he knew everywhere to go and everything to see at the time. Had my own personal travel guide for the 2 weeks! Love that city

  • Liking all your videos. Great food tips for next time I get to back to Asia. What's the music at the end of this video? I like it.

  • I see in the other comments the name of the song. Thanks for the vids...makes me want to get back there ASAP.

  • i really appreciate that! the song you like is called simplesemente (remix) by bebel gilberto. i love it too!

  • The dim sum I ate in vancouver nether taste as good as in hong kong. I think you should try stinky tofu next time you visit HK, although it stinks but its pretty good.

thanks for sharing this great video.

  • stinky tofu? okay, i'll try it next time i go there! thanks for the tip! i'm always up for something new.

  • Going to Hong Kong and Tokyo for the first time in Sept. Is the Dim Sum place Maxims? Was Sushi Dai difficult to find? We're staying at the Park Hotel Shiodome and were told it's walking distance. Great videos!

  • yes, the dim sum place was maxims...and in tokyo, sushi dai was an experience and its right in tsukji fish market, but you have to get there really early, like line up at 5;30am because its small and there's a big line. but, in my opinion, the best sushi i've ever had is in shabuya (close to shiodome) at a place called midori in the mark city mall across from the train station. you must NOT miss that place and order the chutoro (sp)...it was fantastic. see my japan encore trip video to see

  • Watching this made me realize how much I have changed into an American and how much I missed HK. Thanks for sharing! You've made a great clip!

  • thanks for watching it. i'm glad it made an impact.

i hope you enjoy my other clips too.

  • Chicken feet is excellent. It's just like a chicken wing in that you are mainly eating the skin flavored in sauce.

  • ahhhh...i see...okay...next time i'm there, i'm all over it!

thanks for checking out my video!

  • ahhhah..Im going back to hk very very soon!

looking forward to visit my hk :)

  • so glad that u guys like hongkong:)

we're always welcome u to visit again and again!anyway..the chicken feet is really good lol

By the way, that chicken foot is one of my favorites. :D

  • very good food! but, i wasn't "brave" enough to eat the chicken feet.

  • Hey man, you look like this guy I know who use to work for a little show in L.A. Does TSH ring a bell? Great videos, I know we can work together, you need a Mexican guy traveling with you.

  • amigo...i'm thinkin' up ideas as we speak!

  • Hi. Awesome vid. What is the song at the beginning of the 10,000 Bhuddhas?

  • one of my favorite songs: ARTIST; BEBEL GILBERTO

  • are you from the us or canada? i am from hong kong but living in canada lol

  • california!!

  • Ah I miss hk, its such a fun and lively city. Im in a crap little california town, and its so boring. Just for clearification everything you said on the dimsum is correct, those are indeed meatballs and not fishballs. Ahhh how I long to go to Hong Kong again...

  • hong kong rocks!!!!

  • only in hong kong they'll use a hi-def tv to call out numbers

  • yeah, right?! they are so high-tech in hong kong. hey, thanks for the kind words on the japanese select trips page. i have worked as a tv reporter professionally. although this stuff was all shot on the fly with a small canon elph camera...and edited on a mac.

  • coz I am from Hong Kong and eat dim sum everyday

  • oh, cool..thanks for correcting me! i hope you liked the video

  • ACTUALLY.....that IS meat ball. Fish ball is not that big, and i know they dun serve fish ball of that size in that restaurant, which i used to go to everyday when i lived in the Shatin district.

  • thats not meat ball. thats fish ball.

  • how do you know???

  • lol thats chicken leg dude hehehee. i am a chinese and i dont even eat that.

  • hahaha...glad to know i'm not alone!! thanks for watching!
