Obviously, you haven't seen the original music video to this great song by Guns n' Roses from 1992, which was made for an actual wedding! It's shocking that you ask 'why for a wedding', when this is the most famous wedding song ever written! Taking time away from each other is the ultimate way to truly be happy as individuals, as being together all the time only brings misery, resent, and unhappiness. This is why this song is the most perfect wedding song ever made. The lyrics are perfect!

I have seen the original video, but I guess I just don't entirely understand. Marriage is supposed to mean a changing point, when you aren't only supposed to make sure you are happy, but the one you love. It's a commitment to stay together and work things out so that both can be happy. So I guess it's just me haha. I don't know if I would want this played at my wedding. Love Guns N' Roses,but I feel this song would be inappropriate for my own wedding. It's cool it made someone's wedding though.

It's very sad that you are mentally incapable to understand something that is so very understandable. Marriage a changing point? Realistically, marriage is an attempt to imprison the other partner under the imposed conditions of a corrupt religious institution just to ensure he/she will not go with someone, which is absolutely pathetic. That's not love or happiness. That's fear, jealousy, and insecurity! Naturally, your partner has a right to end up with someone else, eventually.

Pay attention to the lyrics of "November Rain". They speak the absolute truth about being together. The words say that no matter what the problems are - "So, nevermind the darkness" - things can still work out - "We still can find a way" - and then it continues, "Nothing lasts forever...even cold November rain", meaning even the pain (the cold November rain) cannot last forever, that eventually things will get better, so obviously this song DOES have a positive message if you listen carefully.

The bulk of it is questioning and despairing:

If you would actually pay attention to what I wrote, you would see that I was stating that there ARE implications of hope in the lyrics to the song. That was one of my main points to the whole argument. Read the last part of my last comment again where I clearly interpret the meaning of the lyrics as having implications of hope.

It's "'Cause nothin' lasts forever...EVEN cold November rain", as I have correctly stated above, which implies that even the emotional pain cannot last forever, that eventually things will get better, which brings the meaning that there is HOPE, as I have implied all along.

This is not supposed to be an exact replica of the story to the original music video. The bride in this video does not portray Stephanie Seymore's character in the original version. In my version, the bride lives on, and has nothing to do with the story of the original 'November Rain' music video. This video commemorates the masterpiece style of the original 'November Rain'. Even though some of the scenes may be similar, it is not supposed to reenact the same exact story to the original.
