uhg...supercharger if you want to drag race, not roll race,btw, a turbo chargers for rolling race andor curcit racing, unless you want to spool up at the start line. turbochargers is a high rpm boost and supercharger is a low rpm boost. and the main reason the skyline are allowed is smog lvl are to high and [to fast for the cop here(thats my opinoin] gtr34 and the r35 is made from the same company so it dosent matter.they both r great

both r sick cars n I'm a fan of both,but 1 thing that helps a skyline is they can hit 9k-11k rpm depending what head work is done,n he said it has a cosworth head,n cosworth heads n race engines r known to hit high rpm's,the cobras r around what like 7.5k give or take a few? makes a big diffrence cause cobra is shifting n gtr is still going inthe same gear,the gtr in the vid is a high rpm setup with a 76mm turbo.nice race either way

R32 & R33 & R34 GTR's have all the same engine, the fastest a pro driver has managed on stock R32 GTR was 4.7 sec 0-100kph. R32 GTR in all the info I have dug up accept a few have said it was the fastest in a straight line cause of its weight difference. There are so many conflicting info out there, i just put it down to common sense same engine, same output. lighter car = faster straight line time.

We have to drive 120 miles just to get our 115 octane race fuel by drum. Most cars around here will start pinging because out compression ration is to high for the shit of fuel that comes from gas stations. And only a few people run forced injection here most have between 11.5:1 to 13:1 compression ratio. haha cant be blown then :b.

actually the AWD cars put like you say "most of the power" to the rear but still put some to the front and that (exactly that) makes the difference between rwd acceleration and the awd acceleration.
If you look at things at physics level, it's just logical that awd accelerate differently and stronger than rwd. I'll explain myself:
With two wheels turning you have just two contacts with the road surface, but if you have for wheels which individually pushes the car then you have four contacts with the road surface, which makes the acceleration more controllable/steady and stronger.
After that, it all depends from the driver. ( That's how I see things, it may be right or not; it's all relativ and opinions). Happy new year dude.
@keviin05 Yeah, AWD accelerates better off the line but the drive-train friction causes alot of power loss once it goes through a transfer case, front and rear diff, which gives it a disadvantage after it is underway, and even more so as speed gets into the upper digits. Thats why a stock Lancer Evo doesn't pull hard after 80 mph but is a beast off of the line.

Plus this skyline had no interior or passenger seats. Just driver seat and dash. A stock R32 is about 450 Pounds lighter than my car and this one probably had another 100 pounds off of it.

R32 & R33 & R34 GTR's have all the same engine, the fastest a pro driver has managed on stock R32 GTR was 4.7 sec 0-100kph. R32 GTR in all the info I have dug up accept a few have said it was the fastest in a straight line cause of its weight difference. There are so many conflicting info out there, i just put it down to common sense same engine, same output. lighter car = faster straight line time.

@Beast5oh I doubt slicks or a tune would have done anything. My car hooks fine and my tune is from one of the best mustang tuners in north america. If I were to put a smaller pulley on and some race gas I might have had a chance to keep up. But as it sat he was on Meth and I was on straight pump gas. When I get rid of this whipple and go turbo then maybe I'll have a better race for him. But I heard he is north of 750 AWHP now so I would have to step it up big time to hang with him LOL

@sixpoundssoft people are extremely clueless its sad... around here in north east new mexico we don't have access to meth injection or even E85. We have to drive 120 miles just to get our 115 octane race fuel by drum. Most cars around here will start pinging because out compression ration is to high for the shit of fuel that comes from gas stations. And only a few people run forced injection here most have between 11.5:1 to 13:1 compression ratio. haha cant be blown then :b.

actually the AWD cars put like you say "most of the power" to the rear but still put some to the front and that (exactly that) makes the difference between rwd acceleration and the awd acceleration.
If you look at things at physics level, it's just logical that awd accelerate differently and stronger than rwd. I'll explain myself:

With two wheels turning you have just two contacts with the road surface, but if you have for wheels which individually pushes the car then you have four contacts with the road surface, which makes the acceleration more controllable/steady and stronger.
After that, it all depends from the driver. ( That's how I see things, it may be right or not; it's all relativ and opinions). Happy new year dude.

@keviin05 Yeah, AWD accelerates better off the line but the drive-train friction causes alot of power loss once it goes through a transfer case, front and rear diff, which gives it a disadvantage after it is underway, and even more so as speed gets into the upper digits. Thats why a stock Lancer Evo doesn't pull hard after 80 mph but is a beast off of the line.

That would be the best form of a car for 1/4 mile racing; and that's exactlya what a new good awd car is right now.

@cobra5405 That is not even close to true LOL. My car makes more TQ much quicker than the skyline. The reason it won is because his car is lighter and has only a bit less power. Plus this skyline had no interior or passenger seats. Just driver seat and dash. A stock R32 is about 450 Pounds lighter than my car and this one probably had another 100 pounds off of it.
