question: i am ow using a Samsung Exhibit II 4G Android phone for tmobile a friend of mine offered to sell this phone to me and i am interested in it but is there a big difference between how this phone runs/works/interacts compared to the phone i have now? and is there a way to get rid of apps i dont use or will that hurt the phone? like i dont use twitter so i can get rid of that right?

@TheBrillance You're asking if the HTC HD2 is very different from the Samsung Exhibit II? Yes, it is VERY different. To be honest, I've never used the HD2 but you should know that it came with the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. many people love it and many others heavily modify the HD2. It is almost certainly not like the Exhibit II at all.

@TheBrillance I'm just not familiar enough with the HD2 to give you advice. I recommend that you find an HD2 forum and ask questions there. I have personally never seen an HD2, so I'm the wrong person to ask about what can be done to it.

I have the t-mobile htc hd2 and it really does suck. I got it when it first came out and it's already giving me problems. It keeps freezing on me like if I use Youtube or go on the internet or play games now if I talk on it for 2 hour and I hang up the phone turns off by itself and it won't turn on. I have to take the battery out and but it back in and I have to do this a few times for it to finally start working again. Has anyone else had this problem?

The HD2 is a monster phone, once you dump winmob and get win7 or even better, android, you have the greatest device out there... just brilliant, and head and shoulders above anything out there... you can do virtually ANYTHING with this thing...it's also constructed from glass and steel... i've used iphones ad nauseum, been crippled with hd7 and finally got back to the hd2... set yourself free, this is an awesome device..

@konejo99 I'm familiar with Windows Phone 7 and like it. Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with the earlier versions of Windows Mobile. As far as Windows Phone 7 goes, the only improvement I think it needs is drag-and-drop for exchanging files. Dump Zune as the sync interface and simply let us drag-and-drop. To me, that little change would make Windows Phone 7 MUCH more appealing.

@Calimustang86 As far as I can tell, the HTC HD2 is no longer sold as a new device. You may be able to find one unused at eBay or someplace like that. I've never actually handled the HD2, but it's my understanding that it is physically more or less identical to the HD7. In other words, it's the same size/weight.

I can say that Windows Phone 7 on the HD7 is very nice. It's an elegant user interface on a nice phone.

@Boobearfia1991 Those are two very different phones, and I think that the HTC HD2 is no longer available. If you can still get the HD2, it has a MUCH bigger and higher-resolution screen than the Motorola Charm. These phones have very different operating systems and are really targeted at different people. The Charm is cute and compact, while the HD2 is big and high-tech. Only you can decide which is right for you.

@Boobearfia1991 BTW, your might also look at the Motorola Cliq for T-Mobile. That's a decent phone with a slide-out keyboard. If you can do without the keyboard, I really like the Samsung Galaxy S 4G and the T-Mobile myTouch 4G... both are very nice and powerful phones.

@kingdomcomes2009 The only way to make the HD7 look like the HD2 is to strip out the Windows Phone 7 operating system and install the older Windows Mobile operating system. That's a complicated process and you might damage the phone. You'd be better off buying a used HD2, if you can't find a new one.

@megagangster321 It sounds like a file got lost or corrupted. Can you delete and re-load the transformers app? Do you still have the microSD card that came with the phone? Make sure it's installed properly and try your app again. If nothing works, you may have to do a factory reset. :-(

you can get it without internet if you buy from outside source but phone is pretty much useless without it seeing as all the apps and everything run off internet.. However you can hack it (if you know how) to access internet through another ISP for say your home server or free one online tmobile will just read data transfer as mins but they will suspect something if you browse a lot, however I'm not promoting or suggesting anything. I'll leave you to figure out.

hey yall............Ive had 2 htc hd2 phones and not because I didnt like the phone, the phone it self is high maintenance...........it requires more cleaning of the system and to keep the task manager clear of the used and open apps that are on the phone......when I got the phone I was will aware of everything

I currently have this mobile phone and i am going to get rid of it as soon as i possibly can, i have had this phone for about 5 months, and 2 weeks out of the box is slows right down so it is almost usuable!

it lags so much because windows mobile dosent work properly yet, will still need a few more versions before it is really usable! The OSK is so hard to use unless you have child like fingers, plus because of lag issuse its very hard to type for an extended amount of time!

I went through 4 of these phones cause they keep freezing on me, this phone sucks........you make a call and have to press end like 4-8 times to end a call or other apps pop up when your trying to do other apps, this phone was not worth the money.......Now they put me in the vibrant fore free cause I had so many problems with this one and been with tmobile for yrs. Too bad MS is discontinuing WinMo, this is proof right here that they could've upgraded Windows Mobile and made it more perfect then what is is if they would've just set minimal standards for the OEM's to use. (Like only to use capacitive screens, only snap dragon processors, and plenty of RAM) and with a little bit of work they could've fix WinMo's little glitches and it would be perfect.
