@iArTiizT I never liked the idea of everything being instanced so I never even bothered trying out Guild Wars simply based off of what I had heard and read about it. I hear GW2 is going to be different but I honestly havent really looked into it much. I'm more than willing to sacrifice graphics for challenging gameplay that doesnt spoil you with ezmodes and ingame tools to do so much for you as you find in all of todays games. For now I'll stick to project 1999 oldschool EQ server.

@xbox360monkey The fact is on game types such as Alderaan and Voidstar, Burning down the enemies quickly is important. The GS comes equipped with a few CC's and stuff to help the team along with it's damage reduction ability called scrambling field or something like that.
Commando's granted CAN heal but in the end, it's all subjective.
@tidus814 not to mention if you go with a sab/df hybrid or df for shrap bomb, along with your other dots on top of that, makes defending nodes a lot easier with all the dots you can throw around to continually interupt their attempts to cap
@xbox360monkey well use your cc for objectives, defend from a good spot and you can do massive dmg wich is really good for defending an objective, you can flash people in the fire in huttball. Its just how you play it in bg's you shouldn't do random dmg but you should use your cd's wisely to help the group.
@lennart29 yes but 90% of the time people will hit through ur cc cause they are stupid and plus every other class has a cc so its not a big deal and if ur hiding far away all i have to do is walk away or walk up and stun u then u have to roll back in cover then i can stun u again and because smuggler/IA have a low amount of hp ur usually dead by then

@00Sparkz19 In the video I had most things maxed I think however as mentioned this was during beta and at the time of the video we didn't have all of the graphics options we have now, AA wasn't even implemented yet among other things.
@soralanon operative SHOULD have pistol / knife combo. Shame about that, it would really suit the class. I cannot imagine swinging a knife like a ninja while balancing a blaster rifle...
Same thing happens to me dude. When I go to take cover I have quickshot where I have charged shot and the response time is so broken right now it shoots that first before my charged shot.

@soralanon update on this issue as well as the issue with multiple other abilities not always firing off when right away when you activate em there was a dev blog acknowledging the issue and stating they had located the source of the issue and their engineers are working on it so things should improve soon :)
@Smocky1447 Atm with the bit of champions gear and columi gear mixed in the other spots I have about 17.7k hp unbuffed as a gunslinger, and thats not including the end talents from saboteur tree.
Your binds terrabad : binding 123456-shift12456 isnt imo enough :) add letters, like, Q.E,F,G,X,C,V,R and shift those, you can even bind, alt-12345. and F1F2F3F4 etc :)
Secondly watching a premade stomping noobs isnt super fun, if you want to make a good pvp vid, you wanna be stomping atleast averege people ^^
Hey man im planning on rolling a gunslinger I have played sniper to lvl 26 and I loved it but I will go guns because i love republic more, the sniper got sniper+knife and the gunslinger 2 guns, stats/mods wise how much of a difference is it? 2 guns should represent 1 sniper and the other way around even if the the 2 guns are not same copies? And all i see are now DF-gunslingers why is that? I love burst dmg and DF doesn't got anything to do with big burst hits right?
@FreedomFighter08 the only difference is that instead of a sniper+knife, you have 2 guns, the dps of you maingun is the one that makes a difference anyway :)
Same goes to bountyhunter vs troopers, atleast from what i heard, they're identical :P except to different appearance on the guns
@zhijn Try out the 2nd spec listed in the vid description, I've come to love it far more as a Gunslinger as it has next to no reliance on cover at all. I only ever drop cover to throw a quick saboteur charge+speed shot for some sweet burst or pulse detonator for the knockback, otherwise it's all mobile out of cover.
I think you're quite lucky to not be targeted so much in this game xD. Ever since i've sported the cowboy hat - I see people instantly targeting me as soon as I appear. /squishy

@soralanon I have a gunslinger as well and I'm learning quick just how hard it is to pvp with him. I want to go full dirty fighting with about 10 points in saboteur. Have you tried anything like this? Do you know if it's actually viable against melee classes (especially tank specs)? I'm really frustrated right now about the class. Even dirty fighting spec is forced to sit still most of the time rather than kite.
@MrDrunkscottsman while in the video i used the default keybinding in live now I switched the take cover and take cover in place keys around. I currently use R to take cover in place and middle mouse button to take cover however i very rarely use the middle mouse button to roll into cover and just drop my cover in place instead.
@madu86 after being 50 yet again for awhile on live i went and tried some other things out and have found that a Saboteur / Dirty Fighting hybrid spec works extremely well for PVP. I only ever drop cover to throw a quick saboteur charge + talented speed shot for some amazing burst or use a pulse detonator knockback otherwise I am constantly on the move. The spec I was using was a little bit energy intense but not bad at all once you get used to it.
@23bobjr personally i find swtor pvp to be even faster paced than wow, the only reason things seem a bit slow paced in this video is because its alderaan civil war where as you can see I actually defend control points instead of constantly running to where the fight is. Objectives net you far more rewards in swtor than the pure dmg/kill meter number padding does in wow. You get stuck on defending a point in AB that never gets attacked things will seem just as slow if not slower ;)
@heritic546 It seems slow paced because he's on defense as a boring (imo) cover mechanic class. Which is the equivalent of being a stealthed rogue guarding a flag in AB that never gets attacked in WoW. This game is generally MUCH faster paced than WoW.
i like the cloth animation on this. sued to play Wow for about 2 years but quit with the fire lands patch. I gota say this game looks better. I hated it in Wow they way the cloaks were welded to the players back. Any how getting this game today, i wanted to be a smuggler but my friends all gone for empire QQ (we did play allies in wow) so looks like i'm being agent or marauder. i dont understand why you get a skill which makes your holo cover bigger like at 3:49 that thing that improves the size of your cover, the holo cover is just an projected wall which doesn't protect you, so why an improving-size-skill?:)
@juliancomputerfreak Not sure what your talking about but the first ability used at about 3:49 which makes your portable cover a little bit bigger is the graphic for Hunker Down which gives you complete immunity to all CC effects for 20sec, talented down to a 45sec CD via the sharpshooter tree. After that the big shield eminating 10m out around me there is scarmbling field which reduces damage taken by 20% for anyone who stands within it.
@twistedsk8 sadly i had a 10m limit on my recording so i had to stop recording for a few min of the match to catch the end and the scoreboard, like i said my first vid ever so its not perfect by any means lol
@XovoFactor Personally i had no problem at all leveling up any of the 5 times i've done it so far. I always used a pure dps comp soon as I got one and just full burned everything down rather than using healer or tank comps. Creative use of hard cover and cd's and kiting will get you through about any situation you come across :)
lol diddnt even notice this was in ptr. I saw you earn a medal for 50k dmg done i was like wtf why havent i been getting that? I always get the 75k dmg because it's easy but that thew me off lol.

@mw2loverism the razer naga keybindings is working for me:) i use like 1, 2, 3 and shift+ 1, 2, 3;) just make sure you choose the right quickslot in keybindings;) hope it helps;)
I just rerolled from Vanguard to Gunslinger and I LOVE it. Even at a low level, I'm productive in pvp. If no one challenges you, the gunslinger can drop people quite well.
Gunslinger looks facking awesome, but, does it have cool bombs or something except shot shot? Merceanary have cool stuff so does Gunslinger have some minor cool stuff except pistols only?? Great video aswell
@TrinityGamingHD Thats Scrambling Field which is a Gunslinger specific ability we get at level 42. Usable only in cover it lasts for 15 seconds and anyone who stands within the shield takes 20% less damage. Has a 3min cd.
As a gunslinger you seem to stay behind your cover most of the game. Is that the general playstyle of a gunslinger, or is it just usable from time to times?
@TheSuggen to get the most out of your gunslinger youll move in and out of cover a lot however pretty much all the time your attacking is spent behind cover. One of the biggest benefits of cover as a Gunslinger in pvp is the 20sec of complete cc immunity on a 45sec cd.

@MrDrunkscottsman while in the video i used the default keybinding in live now I switched the take cover and take cover in place keys around. I currently use R to take cover in place and middle mouse button to take cover however i very rarely use the middle mouse button to roll into cover and just drop my cover in place instead.

@madu86 after being 50 yet again for awhile on live i went and tried some other things out and have found that a Saboteur / Dirty Fighting hybrid spec works extremely well for PVP. I only ever drop cover to throw a quick saboteur charge + talented speed shot for some amazing burst or use a pulse detonator knockback otherwise I am constantly on the move. The spec I was using was a little bit energy intense but not bad at all once you get used to it.

PvP in SWTOR is slower than wow and doesnt have 1 shot kills, but not slow enough so its tedious.

@23bobjr personally i find swtor pvp to be even faster paced than wow, the only reason things seem a bit slow paced in this video is because its alderaan civil war where as you can see I actually defend control points instead of constantly running to where the fight is. Objectives net you far more rewards in swtor than the pure dmg/kill meter number padding does in wow. You get stuck on defending a point in AB that never gets attacked things will seem just as slow if not slower ;)

@heritic546 It seems slow paced because he's on defense as a boring (imo) cover mechanic class. Which is the equivalent of being a stealthed rogue guarding a flag in AB that never gets attacked in WoW. This game is generally MUCH faster paced than WoW.

i like the cloth animation on this. sued to play Wow for about 2 years but quit with the fire lands patch. I gota say this game looks better. I hated it in Wow they way the cloaks were welded to the players back. Any how getting this game today, i wanted to be a smuggler but my friends all gone for empire QQ (we did play allies in wow) so looks like i'm being agent or marauder. Nice vid btw you make this game look beeeeeeast!

i dont understand why you get a skill which makes your holo cover bigger like at 3:49 that thing that improves the size of your cover, the holo cover is just an projected wall which doesn't protect you, so why an improving-size-skill?:)

@juliancomputerfreak Not sure what your talking about but the first ability used at about 3:49 which makes your portable cover a little bit bigger is the graphic for Hunker Down which gives you complete immunity to all CC effects for 20sec, talented down to a 45sec CD via the sharpshooter tree. After that the big shield eminating 10m out around me there is scarmbling field which reduces damage taken by 20% for anyone who stands within it.

@XovoFactor Personally i had no problem at all leveling up any of the 5 times i've done it so far. I always used a pure dps comp soon as I got one and just full burned everything down rather than using healer or tank comps. Creative use of hard cover and cd's and kiting will get you through about any situation you come across :)

@mw2loverism the razer naga keybindings is working for me:) i use like 1, 2, 3 and shift+ 1, 2, 3;) just make sure you choose the right quickslot in keybindings;) hope it helps;)

I just rerolled from Vanguard to Gunslinger and I LOVE it. Even at a low level, I'm productive in pvp. If no one challenges you, the gunslinger can drop people quite well.

@TrinityGamingHD Thats Scrambling Field which is a Gunslinger specific ability we get at level 42. Usable only in cover it lasts for 15 seconds and anyone who stands within the shield takes 20% less damage. Has a 3min cd.

"New Breed" by Fear Factory is the second song.
"Devil Man" by White Zombie is 3rd song you hear start playing but get cut off.
"Machine Debaser" by Fear Factory is the one you hear at the end.
So the one you are asking about at 7:11 or so is New Breed by Fear Factory off of their Demanufacture album.

As a gunslinger you seem to stay behind your cover most of the game. Is that the general playstyle of a gunslinger, or is it just usable from time to times?

@TheSuggen to get the most out of your gunslinger youll move in and out of cover a lot however pretty much all the time your attacking is spent behind cover. One of the biggest benefits of cover as a Gunslinger in pvp is the 20sec of complete cc immunity on a 45sec cd.
