  • It seems like It was just yesterday since I checked this out.

  • im just wondering but is he left handed or right handed? Since im right handed do i go clockwise or counter?

  • This clip was the one that made me bboy and I'll remember it forever. Big respect to Gamblerz, Still and uploader for making bboy knowledge available online for everyone :) !!!

  • ahhh still is so hot x_x

  • nice guide, good for me to clean up my steps.

btw.. who else noticed that they called it foot-walk on the bottom right corner at 5:02?? haha typical asians :P

  • 3 years ago i watched this video, today im freaking doing flares, halos , babymills ect.

this was the begging for me. Thanks!

  • i realize my six step was WRONG after i watch this video.. thanks xDD

  • lol threeeeee step fooouuuuur step fiiiiiive step siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiix step. funny accents

  • god damn my hands are bleeding

  • hey can anyone give me tips on how to gain speed on bboying

  • if its from Gambler, its legit man, great tutorial

  • i dont know why people are

    saying this tutorial is shiet

like really ? whos better, you or the

    mofocking beast ass korean?

  • @alquinnaa THey obviously dont know who Gamblerz Crew is

  • This was helpful not only in learning to do the six-step but in getting the technique down also. I didn't know that your thighs were supposed to be bent inward or that you were supposed to be up on your fingers. Thanks.

  • wow, he's pretty good looking. and i'm a guy and i'm saying that. a good looking guy...

  • best 6step tutorial i ever seen

  • Yea, i learn both ways too! Now i'm working on CW, after i got CCW. Gonna drill on it!

  • whats this bboys name?

  • @xBboyZerox

    this is Still from gamblerz.

  • please tell me what's the main point of six step?? i got it all wrong... [T_T]

  • so, is the person in the video left handed?

  • I'm right handed, but i do CCW footwork lol. I dont know y also.

  • It doesn't matter if your left handed or right handed when it comes to choosing a direction. Just remember that if you do freezes with your right hand, do your footwork CW. If you do freezes with your left hand go CCW. This is because transitioning from footwork into freezes works better using those pairs. Then later when you're ready, learn footwork the other way.

  • thank you for this

  • same here.... oh well might as well learn both way

  • Kai I'm a complete noob at this, is there anything I should know before learning how to breakdance? My cousin already taught me a bit of the six step. I can't do it pro or anything and I can do the turle (?) but anything else I should know?

  • Lmfao 0:21 sounds like he,s sayin shet lmfao wioo that was good

  • so clean so quick.

  • my fingers to to hurt when u try to use my fingers, i am used to using my palm, is there any trick i can use to make my fingers not hurt while doin it ?

  • @yummydj kinda late but dont use just fingers, use the tip of your top palm, you'll just damage your fingers if u just use your fingers.

  • u need to get use to it and if using ur palm u will break it easily .. finger is more safe

    NO PAIN NO GAIN=)

  • i like using a flat palm sometimes if i do a coffee grinder. but my teacher says i'll injure myself. what do u think yoeri?

    thanks

  • @Effervescenceify You wont injure yourself, but like the guy in the vid says, it looks better on fingers, and i guess it puts less stress on wrists, which are prone to injury

  • @YoeriYoeri not just any guy, thats bboy still from gambler crew, i would have no other teacher

  • @Effervescenceify LOL i broke my thumb when i did the coffee grinder on my thumbs and inner knuckles...

  • i'm confused cuz this is totally different than the 6-step i learned in my hip hop dance lessons

  • @Effervescenceify well, this is definatly the real 6 step..

  • thats' cool. i like yours better anyway!!!

but i'll have to do hers the way she likes it, and basically learn 2 six steps!! that's ok. the joys of being a dancer, right?

i wish i could come and visit u, and we could dance our asses off! how long have you been a b-boy?

    peace out

  • hey wawtch this guys video , hes the member of the gambler which won the 1st place in countrys. plus i had to start over too cuz my bboy teacher taught me a 6step but i couldnt keep continued. this 6step made me continue long as i want

  • 0:24 I died of laughter.

    Great tutorial though :D

  • this is why I love asians. So technical in all aspects. Make a great teacher!

  • haha he is lisping lol

  • this is a very great tutorial. especially for me, since i'm a technical learner. i got to have all the little details explained so that i can do the very basic of it, then i can somehow add my own style to it. ^.^

    great vid.

  • I have trouble going inner knuckle b/c my fingers don't bend back that much, and it's stenuous to go inner knuckle, is it not supposed to feel like anything at all?

  • It takes time and stretching before you will acquire the flexibility. You can start on your finger tips. With me, I have very strong fingers, but they are inflexible, so the fingertips method works fine for me. It isn't exactly "comfortable" but it is bearable.

  • You just need finger flex youll get used 2 it...im pretty sure most people start out with more flexibility than that though

  • so i should do pushups on my fingers?

  • you can use the heel of your hand as well

  • he told everyhing!!!

footworking on fingertips and heel, toe and side

i whis most tutorial were like these

  • Thank you for uploading and stuff..:)

but 1 question how to do footwork on your fingertips? cant do that hurts too much how i can practise holding myself on the fingertips? thanks

  • just build it up.. At first an airchair is very uncomfortable to hold, but if you practice enough you'll get used to it. Same for your fingertips

  • thank you^^

im breaking for 6 months now but i never took always be on your fingertips and on your heels and on your toes so serious now i have to learn it for improvement...

  • @IMB4L4ND its not literally "on your fingertips". rather it's with your hand except your PALMS are off the ground. so the only thing touching the ground are your fingers.

then just readjust your fingers so it feels comfortable.

its very important you practice footwork with your palms up, cuz that not only makes you less prone to injuries but also makes your footwork much more fluid and swift.

  • just show the last one and half minust is good enought. Thanks.

  • I am subscribing!

    Thank you~

    xoxo

  • SO CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO USE FINGERS?

I can't stay on my fingers...

    I'm always on palms.

  • Build up your finger strength, you're suposed to do it on your inner knuckles; but my fingers don't bend that far. I just use my fingers in general, although it's more dangerous. You don't have to do finger footwork, but it is usually cleaner; I have seen some bboys with clean palm footwork, all depends on how much you'd put into footwork in the first place. If you're a style head, then practice with your fingers/inner knuckles.

  • Yeah, I've gotten used to doing it on my inner knuckles. It took a couple days of bending my fingers back so they wouldn't hurt... but it all worked out.

  • thanks you so much for translating!!

  • who the hell needs to translate this... its a freakin six step just follow what he is doing....

  • true, but not knowing what he is saying makes people feel they're missing out on stuff. Besides, too much explanation is better than too little.

  • if america had these types of vids on their own childrens tv networks, we all would be in much better shape, no obesity...

  • i agree. but we need to achknowledge the retarded little kids might tree headspin and eventually break there neck

  • thanks for the subs ^_^

even tho i still learn from just watching these videos... the subs help me understand all the tips he's giving

  • i just tryied out that move & i suck at it lol

  • haha @ blah blah blah xD

  • This is the most helpful 6 step guide

    I've been able to find.

    Thanks for Translating.

  • *REQUEST* 번역 해드릴까요??

  • rofl bla bla bla

  • Isn't he moving his left leg where his right hand used to be instead of the otherway around @ 2:13?

  • is it better if i do it slow?

or its better wen i do it fast?

  • make sure you get it down first and then speed it up slowly so it wont get sloppy.

  • iight tnx

  • ey when i six step and complete all the steps i end up in a different direction than from when i first started any tips on how to improve on that?

  • I think you're either putting your legs too wide on step 3 (when you're squatting,)

OR.. when you're putting your legs back after step 4 (When you cross over the second time,) and then you step back, you're putting your right/left hand down before you extend back. Don't.

  • iight thanks ill try that

  • lolz

    guess what I did!

I put my left leg ON TOP of my right leg instead of locking lolz :)

  • CW = Clock Wise CCW counter clockwise

  • idk i think its really up to u but most of my friends say take your time o_O hope that helps

  • does it matter which direction you go?

  • righthanded => counterclockwise

    lefthanded => clockwise

  • yea...

the most important thing when u start bboying

    is the helicopter...

this determines whether you go ccw or cw...

im right hander but i use to swing my right leg..

it use to be so smooth until i flared using my right hand which goes ccw..

now i have to change all my moves from left to right so that everything goes ccw

  • wts ccw and wts cw :3 ?

yes, I'm that very new person :0

well I'm normally a popper but I'm trying to learn to break too ( now that I feel cofident in popping lolz)

    :3?

    tell me? pwease :)?

  • CCW = Counter Clock Wise

    CW = Clock Wise

  • out of all the 6 step guides on youtube, this is definitely the best. he is the only one i see putting emphasis on form rather that just the steps.

  • jyeah . i agree .

    i'm working on it yo ! ;D

  • i recommend watching and reading everything he says becuase he tells alot of tips on to make it look clean.

  • left and right are wrong , bt nonetheless thanks for translating

  • yea i noticed that lmao

  • its hard on my fingers cuz im 180 and im only 5' 8"

  • I almost got it now I just need to work on making a 360 and hand poisition

  • lolz I guess you want some sloppy ass 6 steps hahahhahaha!

  • you died trying to do a 6 step?!?!

lol i died trying to learn airflares xD

  • airflares...suicide airflare = death k?

  • haha like the one physicx and taisuke do?

  • You have to have alot of upper body strenght to do this... I died on my 20th try

  • I've looked at a bunch of 6 step videos, and so far this is the best one by far. Yeah, sometimes he says left when he means right, but if you're watching and not just reading it's fine.

Anyway what's good about it is that the steps he goes over slowly are the same as when he goes fast. In almost every other video they teach you the steps one way and do it a slightly different way, especially when it comes to swinging your legs in front of you.

  • well its probably because you dont understand korean but from time to time at the bottom in blue with the arrow it says "just copy it as it is" so that you don't have to think in your head which hand to use. sorry but so many people have sed it so thought i might explain.

  • lol at foot-walk. it's a great tutorial, tho

  • The guy has a lisp.

  • well i guess you want some sloppy ass 6 steps

  • yea lol

  • "move your right knee" is his left knee. wackbards.

  • is anyone else having trouble getting their foot in the right place at step 5 or am i the only one?

  • Cheers dude, helped alot

  • I always mess up on steps four and five and i never finish facing the same position i started at. can someone help???

  • To finish facing the same direction, make sure you put each hand back on the ground where it used to be before you lifted it..

  • thanx, i tried that but it still not workin. what do i do?

  • might be where your placeing ur 1st step

try to make it 1 o clock

  • u don't HAVE to face the same position, i always thought dat as well, but some ppl lyk to turn around when they do it, so it doesn't really matter

  • damn, you're such a loser shut the hell up

  • sorry!...the loser comment was directed at "seriously pissed off" not at the video

  • Lol you're my bitch.

  • wth are you talkin about?? =S

  • you don't have to be in the exact same position right? in other words i do exactly what he says but i dont face the same direction as when i started. is that ok?

  • no, you should finish off facing the same position as you did when you started - the reason you keep turning is because your right hand's last plant (step) 6 is turned so make sure you twist it a little to match it's the same starting position then you won't keep turning in a circle

  • "front heel" = toe or ball of foot

"side heel" = side of foot

  • thx so much, this really hepled

  • "bla bla bla" ... great

  • well, you're not missing much during the "blah blah blah" part. he's saying when girls in skirts sit on the floor, they will sit on their heels. if you imitate that, but raise yourself up, you'll get the "V" shape from step 3-4.

  • oh well that is nice of u, thx. very much appriciate it.

tho, its just kinda funny what the translater did there. thats all

    thx a lot, tho.

  • anybody have 12 step video...

i never saw 12 step before...

  • i think these series of korean tutorial are all good. i dont speak korean at all but i can still understand most of the parts without subtitle, simply becoz they teach it step by step, slowly yet smooth.

im from hongkong, thanks for all u guys posting breakdance tutorials

    they really help

  • to everyone asking for more videos:

unfortunatly the guy who did the translations sorta 'vanished' I guess. And since I don't speak any korean at all, this is all I can give you. Sorry

  • umm u got this off of aznpwr99 huh ?

  • it actualy is korean and hes not criticizing the guy on the video he i just calling every one who doesn't understand a retard

  • is*

  • Right On YoeriYoeri! Thanks for the translation!! WE Want More!!

  • ;] LOL BLA BLA BLA

  • lol bla bla bla!

  • bla bla bla @ 3:50 is funny LOL

  • lol yea

  • wow tnx

  • Didactic? In what way was it preachy? lol anyway, the tutorial was really helpful=)

  • hahaha yaa,, blabla :P

  • hahaha "bla bla blah." great video, nice subs

  • holy shit he spoke really fast.. i am korean and i had kinda hard time understand some part..

  • im korean and i understood everything, maybe you are retarded or something LOL

  • um... maybe he's not korean.

if you're going to watch someone's vids don't criticize them...

    haha

    xD

  • sweet~!!!!!

=D haha. i will practice this everyday! thank you so much! i still really slow right now. but i'm getting faster... ! =D

  • he says "four" actually for not "pour" lol.

  • should we go clockwise or anti-clockwise

  • both ways... you need to get both ways perfected and slow before you start speeding it up

  • Sweet. 6-Step conquered too =D .

  • tnx man

  • great stuff can u get the one with 2457 step i aready kno 6 step only

  • "bla bla bla" wtf?

  • he should've added that you should stay on your toes and not flat footed so you could prevent your butt from sagging

  • yea yea I use fingers its supposed to hurt when you use your fingers for the first time then you will eventually get used to the pain.

  • bla bla bla bla haha thanks for the subtitles

  • bboys and gals, Ive been trying six step for a while it's not hard arat all. This guy knows whay he is doing but forget all the V shapes and what nots. 1: make sure you swing your legs that makes it look cool 2: Your upper body should move back and forth like he does it here, if your upper body doesn't move much you're doing it wrong: PEACE!

  • "bla bla bla" - lmao

  • Amazing video for learning the 6 step!

  • will u be subtitling any more of the gambler how to to series

  • ummm "blablabla" did he say something inaporprate?

  • haha nah he wasn't, just not important content, thats all

  • What does ''inaporprate'' mean?

  • you really dont need subtitl;es to know what he's saying.its pretty easy, jus take your time and get it right cuz if you dont, when u get in a battle you might loose cuz ur footwork was wrong and sloppy!!!

  • ESTA REALMENTE EXTRAORDINARIO

  • Warning to BBoys trying this!!!! This will put enormus strain on you hands and fingers!!! Please Dont Atempt this if you dont have the strength to hold your self with your hands!!!!

  • u got the right leg left leg right hand left hand all the opposite way u know...

  • Finally one of these how to videos have subtitles.

Yeah and 6step is an essential to bboy.

  • holy crap, i accidentally found this video through another similar one that has both 6 and 3 step, thx soo much, plz translate more of them :)

  • thanxx! now imma practice thiss EVERYDAY DAYY!

  • OH MY DAYS!!!! SOMEONE SHUT HIS MOUTH!!!

that just the way talk too much!! ffs...

  • He explains way too much.. yeah i know some of that stuff is important but i just fast forward it to the end so that i can see it faster. xD

  • ty for the subtitles i wanna learn 6 step really bad ^^; 5/5

  • bla bla bla LOL XD

  • lmfao.. who commented on this? he rocks
