@P4T9C6H8 It's in machine code for the Zilog Z80 CPU. He may have used an assembler, but not necessarily. You could also program by entering opcodes into memory. 87 (in hexadecimal) is ADD A,A, 7F is LD A,A, and so on. You can find Galaxian as a "MAME ROM" on Google, and use a Z80 disassembler to look at the code, or play it on the MAME emulator.
I remember first playing this on the Gameboy when it was released along with Galaga than years later I got The Namco Museum on the Playstation and it featured a lot of the games that you have on this channel including this one.

i have an console whit 5 games namco originals :)
it have galaxian, pacman, rally x, dig-dug and bosconian
i buy it the 2009.
it have an joistick and an button =D
