  • This attempt to paint Mr. Lobão as a global energy leader is a sad reflection of this university's complicity with environmental destruction and unchecked greed. We bemoan the rapacious and ecologically destructive practices espoused by Lobão, such as replacing intact ancient rainforests with sugar cane plantations and building massive dams for hydroelectric power to feed aluminum processing plants downriver.
