How will this International Terminal Complex connect with the main Domestic Terminal for those arriving in the U.S. to Atlanta but need to transfer to domestic flights such as to LAX or Miami?
@garydunncolumbus The existing people mover, The Plane Train, has been extended to Concourse F, connecting it to concourses E, D, C, B, A and T. There is also a new pedestrian corridor between concourses E and F that features moving sidewalks. Thanks!
Can Concourses T,A,B,C,&D handle wide body aircraft ? I guess even domestic flights to places like Hawaii will be handled on Concourses E and F since those are long-haul on wide bodies?
At current I have had to fly out and make some domestic flights out of Concourse "E". Will the new Concourse "F" be exclusively international or Mixed like the current Concourse "E"?
Will passengers traveling on a Delta international flight check-in at the international terminal or at the current South Terminal? Also, when Air France moves its check-in to the international terminal, will the South Terminal be used exclusively for Delta?
@audude08 All international carriers will be represented at the international terminal. Passengers with international flights will check in at the new international terminal. You can check with your airline for specific check in requirements. Thank you!
@koldapu A designated shuttle will transport passengers from the arrivals level of the international terminal to the domestic terminal ground transportation center, which includes a MARTA train station.
I'm in L.A. and I love LAX coz it's got a lot of international carriers and A380s go there. I hope ATL will have international carriers as well especially from Asia like SIA, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways, EVA, China Airlines...etc etc
Just wondering, how will the exterior of the new terminal match the exterior of the other concourses? Or will there be some renovating of all the concourses in the future?
This is going to be the most advanced airport on the planet. The idea is great! Is the express way with global flags lined up apart of the International terminal, or is is that there now?
@polandpal97 The elevated roadway is part of the international terminal project. Once it's complete, the roadway and international terminal will be accessed from Interstate 75. Thanks!
@AtlantaHartsfield Will international arrivals at Concourse E for Atlanta-bound passenger still have to recheck bags if it still being used for int'l flights?
@audude08 Nope! If you're an Atlanta-bound passenger arriving aboard an international flight at Concourse E, you will process through passport control and collect your luggage on Concourse F. thanks!
@AtlantaHartsfield So, let me get this straight. Passengers arriving in Atlanta on an int'l flight into Concourse E will go thru passport control like before but there will be no baggage claim and customs at Concourse E. They will clear security at Concourse E and take the train to Concourse F and clear customs there and all bags will be check directly from the aircraft to the new international terminal. I am soo confused.
@Poprocket911Thanks for the feedback. We think when you see it in person you'll have a different opinion. It's very impressive with views of the Atlanta skyline on one side of the ticketing hall and the airfield and runway on the other. Plus all the gates have tall glass walls that allow awesome views of airfield ops.
@THarm688 Concourse E connects to the new international terminal and its 12-gate concourse. When the international terminal opens, both E and the new concourse F will work together as a 40-gate international travel gateway. Thanks!
@AtlantaHartsfield Thanks for the feedback. One of my favorite airports in the world is getting better. I never get tired of flying through ATL. You guys do a wonderful job.

Double Jetways would have been a nice touch, especially for all the widebody aircraft. What is going to become of the current International Terminal? a new base for Delta or will it be shared amongst alliance partners?
I'm going to be making a connection here in 25 January going from San Antonio, TX (SAT) to Fiumicino, Italy (FCO)... @alberjs Sounds like a great trip! The International Terminal will be complete in spring 2012, so your flights will most likely be on Concourse E, the current international concourse. @dingdongditch1000 The new international terminal will connect to the existing international gates on Concourse E via an extension of The Plane Train tunnel and the pedestrian walkway.

@C172Flight The new international terminal will connect to the existing 28-gate international concourse creating a 40- gate international travel complex.
