I have lived in a country w/ single payer before and trying to sell my American house to go back . When I tell Americans I'm moving to Belgium for health care, they call me a commie, tell me that the waits are long over there etc. There jaws drop when I tell them I am A Belgian citizen and have used the health care there and it works. Most of these people can't even find Belgium on a map.

The US system is all about rationing-the working class can't afford good health care. Wake Up America.

The system should be paid by a progressive health tax, with people on the bottom paying 5% and people on top paying 15%. Personally, I think there should be a small co-pay for ER visits, to discourage abuse. The Brits have had socialized medicine for over 60 years, yet the pound is twice as valuable as the dollar.
