just answering a few questions....

Forged Alliance is a stand alone expansion, so you don't need the original to play it. So i would get it cause it has more content than SupCom, excluding the campaign.

The new faction is the Seraphim, which are the peace loving race the Aeon worship. Except these guys are the non-friendly version.

And each faction gets at least 1 new experimental, except Seriphim. Im guessing there will be lots more experimental in the expension to this.

its better, but you can't play with the original factions in multiplayer unless you have the older version.... i think

I bought the gold edition And so far both campaigns are fun. I play the original more often (I don't know why) but the expansion is fun too. Also, FA is a stand-alone expansion, which means you don't need the original game to play it. But I would say get the gold edition or the xpansion.

it said in the description that the UEF freinded with the Cybran and the Aeon freinded with the Seraphim (new faction)

how come the Seraphim attacked the Aeon and the UEF still attacking every1

Right, In the missions you have 5 factions(you can only play as the ones in original SupCom)

You've got the 3 original who have all forged an alliance, then you have a Cybran computer, who's got it's own forces, then you have another group of Aeon, who thinks the seraphim are like gods,

The humans only destroy an outpost world, the rest of theirs worlds are on another galaxy or another dimension. That's why they are not peaceful anymore.

My last computer ran it, with little lag, when big armies battled.. It had 256 MB Geforce graphicscard, CRAP processor and 2 GB RAM and I only spend £400 on the best graphicscard out there and now it runs smooooothly all the time.. You don't need to use £1500, only if you want a shiny CRAP case for it too.. :P

you basically just specified that you have a computer similar to what 80% of gamers have, with no mention of what parts you actually have. and you indicated that you got some cheap parts somehow somewhere. that's of no use to someone that's actually trying to determine what parts they need to run the game

yup.. I have no ideas, but I know that NONE of my parts are powerful enough to run the game alone with that old Nvidia 256 MB graphicscard I had before and now that I have the newest 8800 GTX, the game runs like a charm..

That was just one colony. Some sources say they live in the quantum realm while others say they live in another galexy.

Its pretty believable. my best guess is the new seraphim learned from their bretheren's mistakes and have an antidote, so it wont work anymore.

That could be too. But either way they are back and from what I have seen they are going to be a BITCH to kill, they have an experimental nuke launcher that takes two Defence Missiles to destroy, but that looks like it will take Mavor time to build
