This game doesn't suck, it's just balls hard. I've only beaten it once and I had to cheat to do it. I was 22.

2 problems:

1: You should be able to get right from fight to fight without 'guessing' how much helth you have easy.

2: Leveling up is way easier than you think. Points bags are hidden almost everywhere.

I never go back and gain exp killing weak enemys... And I beat the game so many times =P

Just gain experience in Palaces, its just that simple.

There isn´t really a Zelda timeline. Accept for the ones on the nes. The other games stand for themselves.

You wouldn't haven't to run around killing weaker enemies if you didn't suck at the game. I NEVER did that. You to palaces were the enemies are worth a lot of points. You dont' always want to increase your defense when you get the points. Sometimes you're better off to let the points pile until you increase casting or attack.

But will your progress be saved if you beat the game? Because if not, All that TIme you spent EXplOring and RAcking up Points for Levels and Lives, All The While trying to go Undefeated, Dodge and Kill Enemies, and NOT turn off the power WhatEVER you do... COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. And should that hold true, I am NEVER, EVER going to play this game, unless I manage to save my progress, which is just plain hell.

Well there are very effective ways to level up, just look for many items and the game get's really easy once you get the LIFE spell.
