  • waaahooooo!!!! Ringo Starr & George Harrison hacia falta en The Traveling Wilburys Band

  • This is not the Traveling Wilbury's...

  • tom petty......awesome.

  • love this song just the right groove

  • is it just me or does tom petty resemble dave grohl (foo fighters) or (nirvana)

  • @GarrettLZ it's just you.

  • this is NOT a wilburys song. it's solo petty. Ringo didn't even play the drum track. Jeff Lynne (produced) and George Harrison are the only people who had anything to do with this song. check your facts before you post something up!!!

  • What's Ringo doing sticking his nose in other people's globe? Nawh I'm just kidding, Ringo's awesome.

  • The slide guitar solo; the sparseness and simplicity of the arrangement....Sometimes, OFTEN times....less....is more! I always thought this was a Heartbreakers song though. (As in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.) GREAT song though!

  • @swiggy58a yes. is all about makiing simple notes wich may touch the audience heart, pure simpliness and the best

  • Got to see him in KC a few years ago!!!! AWESOME, BEST CONCERT EVER. HE KICKED ASS!!!

  • i think of this song as a wilbury song, even though it is not, officially.

  • The guitar player is playing George's guitar "Rocky", that's why it's got that symbol. In fact all three guitars he plays look like George's ("Lucy" for one).

  • Note to self,

    Must get a top hat...

  • ringo plus george = 50%

  • Tom Petty is such a boss playing with 2 BEATLES

  • @emmylooloox Ringo isn't playing. He's not playing on the recording. He's just in the video.

  • ..... such 'as a matter of fact' song and still dynamite after all these years....Ride On!!!

  • Anything that has fifty percent of Beatles cannot be half bad

  • lol.. funny...

  • Fuck.... i got banned from the only bar i enjoy in parmy today. :\ gotta stop stealing rum i guess

  • is the bob dylan or one of the heartbreakers on the right of petty?

  • @jimmycriketnew Thats Mike Cambell

  • .... This is a great song/video combo.... Ringo and the globe is such a gas.... Ride On...-:) & Thks for the post...

  • I wish Paul McCartney were in this Video too.

  • @Jessyleppert He's not a Wilbury

  • Beatles just Kill me.Brings back so many memories!! I was thinking how the Stones were so into American black soul blues also.We steal from each other. It's great.

  • Ringo!! Yayyyy

  • George Harrison found it amusing not to make a Volume 2,because he wanted to create a Myth, for fun, something for the geeks to find. When Volume 3 came out,Roy Orinsons wife, not happy as he was dead, that it still be called Travelling Wilburys, got a ban on the sale of all their music. You are right about the bootlegs,You can get great stuff from Russia,Vol,1,2,3,&4,silver Wilburys, loads of it.I think you may well be very almost very right about full moon fever, but Mr.sOrbison certainly placedNOSPACE

  • love the 80s fucken rock misss it

  • I had no idea this was done by the Traveling Wilburys. I always thought it was Tom Petty and Heartbreakers. And yeah, It drove me nuts forever till someone told me there was never a volume 2. Great music.

  • wow I never know that they did this song. I thought Tom petty played this song on his own. And is Ringo like a part of the band or something?

  • every fucking war I ever was in was about money and oil...isnt that a fucking drag

  • get in my face! this was an 80's thing. I WANT BACK DOWN!

  • never

  • fkn class song

  • What a great song and sound.

  • My theme song.

  • Bottleneck/slider is Mike Campbell with the little Indian insignia on guitar from one of Harrison's albums probably,Material World 1970's.

  • @jlehane3 The insignia in Campbell's guitar is the "Om" or "Aum"

Amazing! Half of The Beatles playing with the Wilburys!

  • @mateluna And that guitar was George's;)

  • Oh my gosh Ringo really up staged the guys for sure in this video, but then again it doesn't take much of his goofing around to amuse and please me, which is also why his my favorite Beatle, lol.

Peace and love everyone and God bless,

    Allison

  • who is that playing the bottleneak at 1:54

  • เพราะดี นะ ไม่เคยได้ยิน

  • My song.

  • Hey you know what I have the same question, and I cannot find out from Wikipedia or anywhere who it is, but here's my theory, and it is freaking weird, but I reckon it is Ritchie Blackmore. Anyone else know for sure?

  • @markus4caz

It's Mike Campbell, he's been the lead guitarist for the Heartbreakers since they formed.

  • @markus4caz

Hi google Mike Campbell I wont back down and the same video comes up with the band members listed on it.

  • whos the guy playing lead with a slide? harrison?

  • @dumbdogsdontbark

    I believe that's Queen's Brian May!

  • @VincentMusicVideos

    it's bob dylan

  • haha thats ringoooo

  • great tune!

  • lol this is so cheesy...

  • keep the faith..("like")

  • DerekNS74 gives a plausible-sounding reason why this is a Wilbury's album, but it's not; it's a Petty solo album. Look it up.

Lynne produced, Harrison and Orbison do contribute a little, but there's no Dylan in this effort. (Ringo was neither a Wilbury nor the actual drummer on this track.)

Nevertheless, good tune and who cares, right? Looks like they had fun making the video. My guess is it was thrown together with Petty's musical friends who were available for the day's shoot.

  • SuperGroup.

  • who is the guy on drums??

  • @kasturihowls The drummer is Ringo Starr from Beatles.

  • @oxigen651 ya it is ringo starr isnt it,,but hw cum in dis video ,,,he wsnt a wilbury!!??

  • @kasturihowls Phil Jones is credited as the drummer but I don't see him in the video.

  • i love this

  • definately tom petty and the heartbreakers! anyone who tells u different is an idiot! just cos lynn is playing guitar doesnt make it the wilburys numnuts!

  • Comment removed

  • @housty49 Dude, you're demented...how can it be the heartbreakers when there's geoff lynn, george harrison and ringo starr in the clip...I'd love to give you a kick in the balls for being such a tard

  • If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. :)

  • Isnt this by Tom Petty ???

  • @berdan94 actually its the wilburys because when the wilburys were coming out with their first album...tom was finishing Full Moon Fever...and the wilburys were on this track with them...as you can see some of the members from the wilburys are on the video like Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan...

  • @zztop0987654321 Sorry I see no Bob Dylan.

  • @berdan94 yes

  • You got it: YOU won't back down to the gates of hell!

    You won't!

  • Wilburys Volume 1 were * "Nelson Wilbury" – George Harrison * "Otis Wilbury" – Jeff Lynne * "Lefty Wilbury" – Roy Orbison * "Charlie T. Wilbury, Jr." – Tom Petty * "Lucky Wilbury" =Bob Dylan

The Traveling Wilburys of Volume 3 were: * "Spike Wilbury" = George Harrison * "Clayton Wilbury" =Jeff Lynne * "Muddy Wilbury" =Tom Petty * "Boo Wilbury" = Bob Dylan

    2007 Collection * "Buster Sidebury"= Jim Keltner * "Ayrton Wilbury" =Dhani Harrison

  • Traveling Wilburys of Volume 1 were: * "Nelson Wilbury" – George Harrison * "Otis Wilbury" – Jeff Lynne * "Lefty Wilbury" – Roy Orbison * "Charlie T. Wilbury, Jr." – Tom Petty * "Lucky Wilbury" – Bob Dylan

  • It's not Traveling Wilburys!! It's Tom Petty solo, with exclusive session man(Mike Campbell,Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, George Harrison)!:)

  • who is the lead guitarrist?-...

  • OMG RINGO!

  • Actually they called it volume 3 because they never released volume 2 because Roy Orbison died.

  • One of Tom Petty´s greatest musics!

George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan e Tom Petty Without Roy Orbinson, but with Starr.

  • Love teh TP and HB and covers...Thanks Donny....

  • Technically this is Tom Petty and not the Wilbury's. Although I'm glad you spelled Travelling with two L's unlike the albums that misspelled it :(

Sure Lynne and Harrison back him up on this song (as does Ringo), but that dont make it the Wilbury's. Not quite. Volume 2 this is not.

Still, Petty (and all the Wilbury's) are historic!

  • This is my favorite TW song.

  • facebook

  • damn right.

  • travelling what? it's a petty album solo...

  • @griseum Travelling "wheel bearings" ...

No, just kidding... Wilburys, supposed to be a family in which every member of the band was part of it, they all had stage names ending in Wilbury, Roy Orbison was Lefy Wilbury...

  • This still sounds so fresh! LOVE IT!

  • Another collection of talent, that can't be repeated (see my comments on The Highwaymen).

  • Ringo Starr played in the "I Won't Back Down" video, but a different drummer is listed on the album (Jim Keltner). Theres no use denying the fact that it is indeed Ringo we see in the video, theres no doubt about that.

  • @Eivindtehax Let's not get technical. Just enjoy the music. These guys didn't care who did what. Why should we?

  • @Eivindtehax that is ringo

  • I agree : you can stand me up at the gates of hell but I WON'T BACK DOWN !!!!!

  • Actually, this "is" the Wilburys. There was a traveling wilburys volume 1, and a volume 3. This was in the middle. They never named an album volume 2 because Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever involved so many of the members that they considdered it to be volume 2. I'm sure there are at least a few morons who will say I'm wrong, because they have Vol 2. That's a bootleg. There was no album named vol 2. There was vol 1, full moon fever, and vol 3.

  • @DerekNS74 thanks, i didnt know that! :)

  • @DerekNS74 well ringo and roy are there...

  • @beadingnutritionist Actually that isn't Ringo, that is Jim Keltner and he is one of the most recorded session drummers.

  • @Cbdr17 i know ringo's face when i see it, that's definitely our richie.

  • @beatlegreg07 you should check your information becasue ringo did not play on those session. Jim Keltner one of the bigguest STUDIO Session drummer (Recorded with George Harrison, Ry Cooder, Little Village) is the drummer on both on the album and in this video. He is known to always be wearing aviator, something he is always teased about.

For the record he does look alot like Ringo. Take a look at this page you will see a picture of him ringo and levon helm from the band.

  • @beatlegreg07 go to dummerworld . com and search Jim Keltner ( you tube is not letting put a link in the comments.)

  • @DerekNS74, Travelling Wilbury's Vol 2 was cancelled because of Roy Orbison's passing. They decided to just do the next one as Vol 3. Around the Wilbury's time ('88 to '90), GeorgeH released Cloud Nine ('87), Tom Petty released Full Moon Fever ('89). Jeff Lynne released Armchair Theatre in '90. I owned and loved all of these albums back in the day.

  • @maddog7201 actually i think the reason they called it vol 3, instead of vol 2 was just to mess with people. probably George's idea : )

  • @DerekNS74 there is a volume 2,but I don't like it very much...there is only demo and remix of the volume one

  • @DerekNS74 actually tom petty recorded this before the wilburys. look it up

  • @DerekNS74 'Course, the Wilburys themselves say something different:

search for Traveling Wilburys Volume 3 EPK.

Seriously though, this was no way produced by the same folks who produced the Wilbury albums. And that's a Petty arrangement, not a Wilbury one.

  • @DerekNS74 I was about to say you were nut to I really watched the Video.. I have to completely agree with you.. Only Wilbury I did not see was Roy..

  • @TheDonofMMA Bob Dylan is not their nor Wilburys drummer Jim Keltner.

  • @DerekNS74 you are correct sir. Althoughbeit it's labled on the shelf as a Tom Petty Albumn, they consider it that. Someone mentioned Mike Campbell on the slide. Yeah, it is, however, he was attached to this project as well. Alot of the songs on full moon fever were written by Petty, were they not? Campbell is his song writing partner, is he not?

  • @DerekNS74

They Actually Named It Vol. 3 Because George Thought That It Would Make People Think "What The Heck?!?!?! Where's The Second?" I Was Just Meant To Be An Inside Joke For The Band.

  • @DerekNS74 umm, wrong! thats just george being george as always. the traveling wilburys had nothing to do with FULL MOON FEVER. Jeff lynn produced it. but, that about it.

  • @HallWayGang Roy Orbison also helped on the album. The only one missing is Bob Dylan.

  • @DerekNS74 A*

  • well it sounded like heartbreakers but theres george ,ringo and Jeff? on video

  • No this is not the Wilburys. This vid actually came from a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers collection of vids etc called 'A bunch of videos and other stuff' (i think that's correct) that came out in the 1990s (I used to have a copy on VHS). On guitar is Mike Campbell (of the Heartbreakers) and I think it was Jim Keltner who drummed with the Wilburys, at least in the videos.

  • I think Keltner actually laid the drum track on the record, but it's quite clearly Ringo in the video.

  • They made this song simple for Ringo to drum to...lol

  • definatly not the willburry's here

  • was phil jones not the drummer for this song what's ringo doing there

  • love them so much

  • talented these guys certainly are and they had a very unique style which will never be repaeted. They were the creme de la creme.MOST EXCELLENT.

  • Tom Petty has been one of my favourites for years.

  • I LOVE this song.

Brilliant RINGO FURKNEE in this vid

  • Tom petty as always at his best.
