Armenians were not treated well by Shah Abbas, they were massacred by him.

Armenians and Iranians have different account state about julfa. However one thing it is very clear that Armenians were treated well by shah Abbas and given new settlement in Isfahan!

Shah abbas was greatest king of Safavid empire, he was not stupid to move armenians from julfa for nothing! he knew if the city fall in ottomans hand they will kill everyone! so he removed armenians from julfa and gave them new home in Isfahan!
