those people saying it is wrong are hypocrites and are following the group as i might put it they are total posers and will say to themselves one day wow i have done alot of bad to innocent sick people
One reason why I'm getting out of new york. pain is horrible, it gets to the point where the meds aren't working. Hard to explain, you'll have to feel it. He really can't be blame.
This is just sickening. I am fed up with people getting arrested over marijuana, its a waste of taxpayers money. If they had crohns disease they would be smoking marijuana too. How can you say that he is wrong when they are almost perfectly healthy (i say almost because they are fat fucks).
I was recently convinced by my public defender to plead guilty to possession I agreed, I was ordered to pay a $50 fine which I did, I also checked into the probation department as specified by the court.
A month later I am asked to appear again before Judge Iwasko of CA and I was informed that the court felt that the punishment for me was to lenient and was issuing a refund for the $50 fine I paid, the court has taken me off of probation and is retrying me on felony trial date AUG 23 2010
@17seventySIX - This seems like Bullshit. I think you may be able to fight this on the grounds of double jeopardy. You were tried, plead guilty and sentenced. Now they want to do this over again. have you talked to your attorney?
I wish he didn't have to step down, and that people were more understanding. I will admit I am conflicted on whether a civil officer must follow all laws, even in this case, or be fired.
@CyborgNinja7 - thanks for the kind thoughts. I didn't have to step down, I did to remove the media which came into town. A slow news week I guess. I wasn't a civil officer, I was an elected official who was paid $25.00 / month for the basically volunteer work I did. Laws absolutely have to be followed or consequences have to be paid. I paid. The law IS changing in Iowa as well. No reason I have to be a criminal to treat my disease.
@OGreatOnedontnet Thanks for the reply. The law should change to give you more money for that volunteer work, too. I was under the impression by the video that you served on the city council, sorry.
I was on the City Council. In a town with the population of 752, the Council Position is basically a volunteer one. Iowa doesn't allow removal from office for a misdemeanor charge. I resigned to stop the negative publicity the City was receiving. 752 people (my hometown high school in Indiana had more students) and yet this warranted coverage in the Chicago Tribune and four surrounding States. And all this for pot...let alone being used to treat the symptoms of an incurable disease.
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with the use of medical marijuana. It's easy for a person who doesn't suffer from this disease to make negative comments regarding the use of marijuana as an alternative medication. The thing is that our society has a negative attitude regarding its use as a medication because the government has deemed it an illegal drug . I think too many people think of this drug as being comparable cocaine and heroine. Whoever robbed a store so they could buy some weed?
Well...I have a chronic, incurable disease but I'm not dying from it at this time. Crohn's can be fatal, but isn't always that way. Thank you, however for understanding I should have the right to treat my illness the way a doctor and I feel is appropriate.
good stand up for yourself there is nothing wrong with it. I like how they took the most biased onesided people to interview and showed them its absolute bs.
