Edith Piaf never recorded this song. Do your homework and check the wiki, or go have your ears cleaned, because all the versions that are apparently sung by Edith have another person's voice on them. It would have been much better if she sung this song but sadly, all you can do is to kind of dedicate it to her. ''Ne me quitte pas'' = ''Don't leave me''
This is my favourite rendition of ne me quitte pas, noone has topped this yet, I only wish that madam Edith Piaf would grace the world with her interpretation of this song, too bad it's too late.
Edith Piaf never recorded this (lovely)song. Jacques Brel cried this song out of his soul, Mireille Mathieu does her best here but this is to strong emotion for her.
Sorry but that's not Edith Piaf: that is Mireille Mathieu. No one has that typical enunciation of words and horrendous "R" pronunciations like her. Please edit this vid to reflect the truth. This is an insult to Edith Piaf. Thank you.
I changed it. Now I am sorry for this, but I find you comment much more insulting than a mistake in the title.
I wonder if you have the bases to insult ANY singer, or if you have the voice to actually think it.
Horrendous your post. But I will keep it here for 2 reasons. Everyone has the right to express what they think. And two, show the world the real ignorance that should be vanished off the world.

Thanks Dagor. I apologize if you think I was that rude to you. Considering the comments one can read on YT, I really don't see it as rude or horrendous. I will leave it up too so people can make up their own minds. As for ignorance, do you know the meaning of the word? The only ignorance was from your part: you had no idea it wasn't Edit Piaf but Mireille. What is ignorant in my post? Perhaps a better word would do? Sorry to hear you're wishing for my early demise. I won't be that callous 2 u.

She has a good voice, but somehow her voice lacks the emotional depth to sing something that is not just cheerful.....

Her passion far outweighs the vocal quality. It is difficult to sing when tears are welling. As any real artist.
Thank you for sharing this for the average person could never comprehend the feelings it takes to deliver this beautiful song.

I find her R sound lovely , and she sings just as beautifully as Maysa and Jacques Brel. Thanks for sharing.

I love the emotion in her voice, when she's almost sobbing 'ne me quitte pas' it makes you want to cry too.

I think the two best versions are from brazilian singer Maysa and from the author, Jacques Brell
