The difference is that he's not suffering as much as he once was with existance, faith, life...The subject matter and the mood of the music in general is going to be different. This "new" record is indeed great. Shows record producers don't know jack, these songs belonged on the albums they were intended for. But, it is cool that they compiled them on a single disc because IMO, these are the gems of those recording sessions for the most part.

MM has an indiscernible quality that no other band has. Anyone looking into them for the first time should head straight to Moon and Antarctica for a listen. This is their defining and best work.
