In many states, the lien is noted on the title certificate, and the bank holds the certificate until the car is paid. Selling it under such circumstances is going to be "challenging," to say the least. Not to mention unlawful.

GPS is just the easy way to locate cars...In the repossession industry we call those "freebies"...there's other ways to find you, and believe me, we'll find you...usually when you need your car the most. Most finance companys or buy here pay her lots that install GPS units on their vehicles usually have contracts on the cars equipped with GPS . I fthe GPS is removed or tampered with , the contract is void and the car will be repoed anyways ... no matter if you are up to date on your payments ! I know - I install the GPS myself . They have daily reports that confirm that the units are working ... even if you disconnect the battery . Just pay the note , and leave the GPS alone .

What is that gps jammers? They work if the repo man uses gps to find your car. Can't say the same for old school repos track you down using the search and take method.
