of course the interviewer would ask if theyre having a good time first you dont try to have a good open conversation starting with "so what do you think of heath ledger?" of course he needs to lean into the question by joking around first. It was awkward on both ends but it was worthit -everyone wants to hear what Jake had to say about Heath's death
@ManWithoutHair The dick is Nate Berkus the hottest gay designer/talk show host ever lived and there's nothing wrong with paying tribute to a fallen fellow actor..lighten up dude
In respect this interviewer was one of the only that ever addressed the topic who is sorts of a Bob Costas of Hollywood red carpet. I respsect his aproach. People of public stature in all walks of life will always be curious figures. Sports figures as these people are two of the same breed, spotlight material. Pain is pain and that was pretty somber that the interviewer knew he was gonna hit the nerve. Well done.
what a douche! so the interviewer asks if they're having a good time tonight, and obviously they were, then he SHUTS THEM DOWN! by bringing up the death of a friend...what an ass!
I don't think the question was at all relevant at that exact time. They had just arrived, laughing and joking then boom! Do these interviewers actually think?
The interviewer handled a difficult, painful subject delicately. If it was me (and I just lost my parents recently) I would not mind if someone approached me like this. At least he saw the impact the question had, apologized, moved on and attempted to lighten the mood. Good interviewer.
@Susi2584 Heath, saying that, there really hasn't been anyone with regards to acting who's left behind a legacy in the past 30 or so years. Apart from greats like Liz Taylor or Brando.
@prettyb0y1992 if Marlon Brando died at 28 he wouldn't have no legacy you know..Elizabeth Taylor? LOL..she didn't know how to act (Who's afraid of Viriginia Woolf? only good film that she made)..she was just pretty:D..Heath didn't have a chance to show his full potential..maybe if he had made 100 movies like Brando and not 15, he would be better even than Brando..you must admit his performance as The Joker is the best preformance of a villain in a movie history,so he achieved at least something
wtf was that? one minute they where all laughing and having a joke and then the interviewers just flips it and is like oh hey your friend died! tell us about that... douch bag!!!!!!!!!
The look on Rachel's face at 1:38. Jeez, that interviewer is such a fuckass

I can actually understand why the interviewer asked about Heath. He asked it delicately and shut right up afterwards.

I feel bad for Jake. You can tell that this was difficult for him, as it would be for anyone to be reminded of their good friend's death.
