i bought one had a minor faults after bout two months of usage the back usb port started to act funny and the bottom of the touch screen stopped working, therefor i couldnt poke the menu bar
Looks like a gimmick to sell more netbooks. Give me the power to type and see the screen and the world of knowledge (Ebscohost) on the internet - and I'll give you results.
the fact that this unit comes in at under $500 makes it a keeper! and a viable replacement ( really a upgrade) from the ipad and other tablets coming out...
I might get one of these and there were two different colors. There was white and there was black. Black attracts and releases heat quickly and is hard to see dust and stuff on. The black isn't glossy but the white is a nice glossy finish and looks really great like in the tutorial video from Asus. The only problem is that it's a fingerprint magnet everywhere but the bottom (I have static wipes). Should I get black or white? Just reply to my email. PlayStation.Playerz@gmail.com.
can anyone put a sketching video???Why all the videos are stupidly showing how to zoom out -zoom in-photo edit-taking item out from the box etc..Give some real stuff to watch for goodness sake!!!
@trufiend138 but its better Lenovo Idea pad for some reason, but it smoother.. but actually you can ruun it smoothly if u change the OS to Ultimate one.. it'll be more responsive!
but do u know bout Notion Ink? its a android tablet that coming out this october.. they said the price is $350.. and its really great
im not a fan of all these tablet coming out...I like having the option of using a physical qwerty board. what i do like and what I would shell out up to $700 for is the toshiba liberetto due out this winter (limited edition) nut sure how much the cost will end up being, but it is the ideal netbook-netrvertible-tablet...
Has anyone actually seen the upper-end model T101MT anywhere? You can find the 160GB model with Windows 7 Starter anywhere... but I want the one with doubled RAM, more functional touch-screen, 320GB HDD and Windows 7 Home Premium.
They said it'd be released in april, but as always, ASUS is being shady as fuck on details... it's May now and the 320GB Premium model hasn't shown up anywhere.
@TLRtheory memory and disk upgrade aren't difficult. consider buying the standard model and then manually upgrade it if you fell that memory and storage aren't enough
@Notebookitalia Yeah I know... I just feel like as soon as I do this, the premium model will be released and cost way less than I spent on the extra RAM and upgrading to Premium...then I'd feel like a huge ass :p
This video is a good response to those who were unable to understand how multi-touch works on this device. Thanks for the upload. Looking forward to have one asap.
I was considering this one, but now I think it's probably not worth it.
1) glossy display + touch screen = mess
2) It's way too thick and heavy to be handy as a tablet
3) The rotating display doesn't look very solid

I am a big playstation fan by the way and the black turns out to be glossy. It's kind of hard to tell from pictures sometimes.

@Frylockns86 let me know your opinion
Notebookitalia 1 year ago
@Notebookitalia
After having it for less than 24 hours, my initial thoughts are quite positive.
The touch is very responsive
the machine as a whole is very snappy, even on 1GB of RAM, although I did reformat the machine to run Win7 Pro.
Beautiful design
Typical touch related wear though, smudges on the screen... But that is an every day occurrence any any screen touch or not.
I look forward to giving this baby a go in the real world next week when class resumes.

Great video! Can't wait for confirmation on which price the upper-end model will be.
If the upper-end one is $500, I will gladly sell my tablet and laptop and just use this!

@TLRtheory I believe it's 500 dollars US for the T101MT

Hey does anyone know when or if this is available yet? All I can find is the original T91 and T91MT. Great demonstration, by the way.
betterthanyourname28 2 years ago
so what seperates this from the t91mt
rhstsoccer 2 years ago
first of all display size, but there are many other differences
Notebookitalia 2 years ago
such as, i know it is a 10" screen but besides that, bigger hard drive???
rhstsoccer 2 years ago
there are many
for example
Asus EeePC T91MT has Atom Z series CPU and an SSD
Asus EeePC T101MT has PineView N450 processor and standard HDD
