He almost lost it at 6:22; he had a good recovery however, otherwise he would have gone to join the great Karl Wallenda in the great tightrope arena in the sky....
I can not begin to tell you how much of an inspiration your family has been to me throughout my lifetime. Karl Wallenda was my childhood hero, as I am sure you are to many people as well. Many thanks to you and your family, for the many years of dedication and sacrifice! I am a science teacher and make references to your family's act, whenever conducting physics lessons with my students. Thank you again and best wishes. :)

truly amazing man, i was not moving in my chair, i was holding my breathe and everything, and i've seen this 20 times.... what a great guy and family he comes from..
you're a pathetic piece of human crap. This Man risk it all for the intertainment of others and a too small some of money. You would sue someone to get money for doing NOTHING. You seem to get your kicks degrading a daring man in the hopes that it makes you feel a little better about your own pathetic, boring, do nothing life. If you don't care, then why did you take the time to watch and then to comment on? It's not everyones job to protect your poor children, IT'S YOURS!
well jsmilers... i never said he wasn't a nice kid did i. i'm just saying do we need to see another man fall off a wire and die... AGAIN! watch the footage of his grandfather and you'll know what i mean. if this kid would of fallen off that wire while my kids were watchin it on tv, i would have sued the crap out of the today show for traumatizing my kids. do you have kids?
cruzintheworld, I know that you posted this comment 5 months ago but I just had to respond. First of all, Mr. Wallenda is very kind as I have met him before and he has a wife and kids, he's a pretty normal guy. Nik Wallenda knows what he's doing and the risks involved. I'm sure that he learned a lot more about the safety and risks since his grandfather's death. Finally, take responsibility! If he had fallen on tv, it would have been out of NBC's control! You could always turn off the tv!

this family has become jst dumb. you have that goofy one in the wheelchair "wirewalking" across the chicago river where he just sits there. then you have a hillbilly lookin walenda in red white & blue, rick i think his name is. and now this goofy lookin kid riding a bicycle. WHO CARES!?!? if you want to see something beautiful, watch Man on Wire. this is just trash. and all that almost falling is just fake, which is pretty morbid when u think about what happened to the walenda that fell. sick.

Yeah, and the TV would probably have cut away from a fall anyway.
KutWrite 2 years ago
You're probably right. NBC moniters its broadcasts pretty tightly just like every other news station out there.

I met him at Knotts Berry Farm. I agree, he was very nice and very talented.

You would sue them? What about your responsibility for letting your kids watch something that's dangerous?
Besides, they probably would be no more traumatized than watching most of Sat. AM TV.
KutWrite 2 years ago
Well if you see a "risk for your children"...be a GOOD parent and don't let them watch it. Suing for something like that is pathetic.
