  • like Nick Drake !! same soul ! sad end !

  • @AbChabni Yea Nick Drake fantastic, when I first heard the Pink Moon album instant ya know, like when I first heard Grace a lightning bolt but Jeff more so.

  • time goes by so fast. One drink to remember and another to forget.

  • God this is amazing , absolute pure beuaty

  • 18 people fake just like a woman.

  • probably one of the most evocative pieces of music ever written he the only person that could do a cover that totally outshines the original. a rare rare talent lost too early but amongst the angels is where you belong and your music will forever live on with the people that understand it like you intended!!!

  • rip u rock jeff

  • no no no no no...no way this is the way to sing this song

  • Sometimes stars burn twice as bright for half as long. Rest In Peace Buck x

  • Nothing better than this cover.

  • i learned of this guy from dallas green. Like this if you did too

  • every time jeff was saying no in the beginning i was smiling and saying yes:]

  • belle voix, et chanson magnifique (merci Bob Dylan), je l'ai entendue de Richy Haven....tout aussi émouvant.

  • holy shit i have a top comment

  • Best Bobbie Dylan cover ever made, for sure. Wish I could have seen you live.

  • truly amazing

  • @annyid8 true...except he didn't play any acoustic at all...he played a blond Fender Telecaster with a clean sound and reverb added to both guitar and vocals. Awesome album with amazing solo arrangements of some reallllly great tunes! Everyone should own it!

  • @ctwarch Jeff did plenty off acoustic songs. Including Grace,So Real, and Last Goodbye. I have all of them on my pc and So Real is on my channel. Also I think he did Mojo Pin acoustic once.

  • @14JohnnyRed14 I was responding to annyid8's post about the Live at Sin-é album, there isn't any acoustic guitar on that specific album.

It is a great album though, with awesome covers, he really does Nina Simone justice.

  • @ctwarch Oh I see, guess I should have read it lol. But yeah, all of his songs are simply amazing!

  • JB fans who love this must get the Live at Sin-é cd. he does heaps of acoustic covers.

  • wow he looks just like james franco in this picture!

  • I NEVER get sick of listening to this song. its crazy. I listen to it allll the time and figure im probably going to make myself get sick of it by overplaying it...but i never do.

  • Lame.

  • @TheIntruders I really wish you could appreciate it in all it's magnitude.

  • @TheIntruders Why do you think it's lame?

  • Yet another awesome cover from Jeff Buckley!

  • So so beautiful..... feel the emotion..... ♫♪ Լღvє ♫ ♪♪

  • Wauw this is some of the most satisfying, emotional and amazing thing i've ever heard - the tone of the guitar and the voice is just wauw! Don't know why i've just discovered this guy!

  • @oliverandm Congratulations on your discovery. A film is coming out soon about his life but you have such joy ahead of you as you listen to all his many covers and compositions. He is a song's best friend. You must listen to his album Grace (the Legacy Edition) . He is my alltime favorite singer/guitarist and I spent the last year and a half exploring everything I can find and then going back to his roots in listening to his biological father's work. (Tim Buckley).

  • @oliverandm we are in the same boat. it's all i've played for the past two weeks since i found him. incredible talent, so sad he is gone.

  • god this is amazing, absolute pure beauty, when ever i listen to jeff, he just puts my head and thoughts to a different place in time and his voice really speaks to me, stunning this song is.

  • No body feels any pain HEROIN She aches just like a woman HEROIN She makes love just like a woman HEROIN but she breaks just like a little girl HEROIN

Queen Mary Marywanah WEED she's my friend I'll believe I'll go smoke her again

I believe it's time for us to quit KICK DOPE

  • My first time hearing this. Wow.. is all I can say.

  • To think that Bob Dylan wrote this and it captures what a woman really feels sometimes. That man is a genius. No words explain how beautiful this song is and then to hear Jeff sing it... ughh Shivers.

  • Such a great version.

  • xD just write how you feel and what you wanna share with people about the songs on your comments, not some lameass lines to try to get a couple of thumbs up. Seriously. lol

  • 14 people were looking for porn on youtube.. 590 people found their own special classy porn.

  • @xblindguardianx IF JEFF WERE ALIVE TODAY!! YOU ARE DESPICABLE TO USE THIS FORUM FOR YOUR DISGUSTING COMMENTS....

  • Any guitar geeks know if he's playing a baritone here?

  • @imshippyupup i cant tell but it sure sounds like one. god this is beautiful

  • Re Mida.. ciò che tocca, diventa oro..

  • adorato

  • lame

  • I float in Heaven...

  • Jeff Buckley makes me ache like a little girl.... everything he touches is beautiful RIP

  • This voice comes from his heart...He reminds me a persistent dreamer...

  • I am sold. This guy is awesome. Beautiful rendition of a classic Dylan song, but with more passion!

  • I have to agree with the way he starts the song: No, no, no, no, no. This is not the way to sing Just Like A Woman.

  • shits on Dylan

  • So did Keats.

  • I've just come from the Dylan version, which is infinitely better. You can't beat stuff from the core, you just can't. Apart from not being Dylan, this one tries too hard.

  • @Pitsku Dylan Mumbles....

  • gosh, he had so much more in him. imagine if he hadn't died.

  • RIP buddy boy... Sometimes I think you did well by leaving so early...You see, I wonder if you would have stand this world. I mean, nowadays, there's even more shit than there was at your time... Angels are rare. Fucking shit isn't. Miss ya.

  • @TimValen asinine and melodramatic comment

  • Comment removed

  • @razao82 - there is so much irony in your comment.. more buckley, please!

  • Comment removed

  • @razao82 its irony cause you mentioned justin beiber in your comment when you're tellin other people not to talk about him lol

  • @razao82 ...like you!

  • @razao82 isn't it funny that by demanding not to involve that kid you involved him yourself and even got enough idiots to vote for you that now it's the first thing we all see...

i guess there is more than one kind of idiot.

  • Best voice and sound and people

  • Just wow. Wow wow wow.

  • Absolutely beautiful. His voice moves me in ways I didn't think music ever could.

  • this song was made to be sung by Jeff. One of my all time favorites!

  • @20centjes actually he wrote tons of songs, in addition to Grace, its bsides and My Sweetheart the Drunk, I have several unreleased tracks that he wrote that are all amazing as well....and besides what's so bad about co-writing a song.....most of the great singer songwriters/artists of all time actually co-wrote their songs, but people just assume they wrote the songs themselves.

  • @cbhitman1 proof or it didn't happen

  • @MrSnapply ? what are you ten years old? research it yourself or continuing being ignorant

  • @kerrebroek why watch them on youtube then? also he died young and only finished one album so let's all be grateful there are all these great covers to listen to.

  • oh my God. some of you sound like reporters arguing on CNN. And for pete's sake, what is with all the justin B. comments all over different vids of Jeff Buckley. I've reached the end of my rope with this garbage.

SHUT UP AND LISTEN.........that is the WHOLE point of music. No matter what the person is singing. You miss out on soooooooo much with this idiotic, petty, garbage arguing.

Go on a damn time out so the rest of us can just listen..........

  • god wanted singing lessons

  • @mappo2345 Nah man...god put jeff on earth to put every singer that has ever lived, be it blues, rock, jazz, soul, or opera, to ABSOLUTE shame...lesson to us all, indeed.

  • @JayPleezer304 Hey man I agree with you Jeff is my favorite, but put to shame......mmmmm there's been some great singers!

  • @nat00ben06 yeah ur right..but my tastes go from hip hop to soul, from jazz to metal, blues to classical and i have yet to hear anyone with as much range, fluidity, and tear jerking soul like jeff...one of the scariest talents ever in music

  • @mappo2345 (': really..

  • @20centjes co-writing means writing together with someone else right? I can't really see your point since you just validated mine. Another point, when someone can put much of himself into someone else's song to actually make it even better than the original why criticize him? you're welcome to break it to me any time, it's just pure talking here..

  • @20centjes your comment implied that the fact buckley never wrote many of the pieces he performed, reflects the musicianship put into them.

most likely my stoned brain, however if i was correct, remember that he made ever cover he done he made completely his own. I'm its a cheek leonard cohen still performs hallelujah even thought it is his own piece because buckley made cohen's version sound like a elvis record played at -45 speed. (i do relies i will inherit bad karma for saying that) haha.

  • @20centjes your so far from the point on this one, i think anybody would agree with your sentiment applied to most artists but not buckley. its no reflection on his musicianship.

  • @20centjes Didnt jeff write "so real" and "dream brother" too. . . with the help of michael, mick, and matt? And didnt he write the lyrics for those 2 by himself?

  • @20centjes last goodbye and lover you should come over were his best songs

  • @20centjes unfortunately

  • superbe !

    TXS

  • Great video. For fans of Acoustic Music check out SION RUSSELL JONES who just released his debut album 'And Suddenly...' on Still Small Voice records. Those of you who are on Spotify can also listen to the album free of charge. Enjoy x

  • >.> there 11 people dislike this song they must be deaf not to hear the angelic voice

  • I've always loved this song, and what a rendition. Buckley's voice is pure perfection.

  • he see's the beauty of the song / the words / he is an artist ! ! '

  • @shroomdoubt777 one thing is not liking a musician, a singer or a cover that he/she makes, whit Jeff is barely impossible but it's ok, another is having no clue what you're talking about. With one real record, mostly original songs, he made more than most people normally do in an entire music career. Talking about covers his version of 'Hallelujah' is far more known than the original and you should ask yourself why. If you have a theory make sure that makes some sense.

  • @shroomdoubt777 What a completely and utterly useless statement lol.

  • Hehe- Sairyloo is funny

  • this makes me weep

  • Comment removed

  • I love the original but Jeff has given this song a whole new life.

He has the most beautiful voice...Jeff you are missed..♥

  • nooo nnooo nnooooo nooo nonono (Fuck. What shuld I say then?)

  • @Underground906 Why make an exact copy of a classic melody I ask? Why not mangle it so to speak? If you prefer that composition you have the original. This is typical buckley. He made it his own. I personally love this and I love the way Jeff indulges in his own vocals. Its full of emotion.

  • @CotardDelusion Because the chorus in the original is what made it a classic song. That was all that needed to stay the same on this. He could have still put his mark on the song. Improved it even. I was looking forward to him getting to the chorus when I first listened to this with a sense it would be brilliant after the build up. It wasn't. Like I said it was a very bad mangling of this song It's a joke. A wasted opportunity. He disappeared up his own arse on that chorus & killed it. Too bad

  • Such a beautiful soul... Such a source of beauty... Born too late, died too soon...

  • dylan is my absolute favorite-------jeff is right there with him in tallent

dylan has had much more time. Im' sure jeff had alot of respect for Bob

I think his version of the song reflects that

  • i could listen to just 1:04 - 1:06 all day

  • love it love it- I wanna hug it. I would be a necromancer for this guy.

  • @getridofthetonedeaf damn you know some amazing five year olds.

  • BOB DYLAN FAN HERE, HAVE BEEN SINCE THE SIXTIES, BUT JEFF BUCKLEY COULD DO NO WRONG!! I WOULD IMAGINE THAT EVEN BOB HIMSELF WOULD AGREE TO SOME EXTENT, JEFF, LIKE BOB WAS/IS A VERY SPECIAL ARTIST!!! CHECK OUT HIS OWN STUFF, OR NOT, AS YOU WISH, CHOICE, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT, IT WOULD BE A BORING WORLD IF WE ALL LIKED THE SAME THINGS, AMEN

  • @hannah4440 Amen sister!

  • @hannah4440 Except from writing everything in capital letters, I liked your post.

  • There are some truly rough comments about this and about Jeff, felt the need to respond with my thoughts! Thought I would do it in an abstract fashion too! We are all entitled to our points of view, as I believe Oscar wilde said, not word for word, "Sir, I may not agree with your point of view, I will defend until my dying breath your right to say it!" My take on it is that if music is a car, Jesus! doesnt he drive it well! x

  • @julianjames1 Voltaire, "While I may not agree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it." Jeff Buckley was an immensely talented individual, and while people who disagree with that may be entitled to an opinion, their opinion is wrong! lol

  • I appreciate that it will be considered utter blasphemy to suggest that someone could cover one of Bobs songs better than himself, but (for me) Jeff truly achieves this impossible task. His rendition is just so stunningly beautiful it simply beggars belief : )

  • @9611CALL How can you tell me i have no idea, This is art and art evokes different feelings in different people, this just doesn't do it for me i prefer Dylan's version, so how about you shut the fuck up trying to cripple peoples opinions.

  • mmh... I quite like Jeff Buckley but his cover of this song doesn't go well with the "feeling" I always associated to Just Like a Woman.. it sounds so "technical" and over the top...

  • oh my godddd could anyone please send me an mp3 of this beauty

  • He's twisted this song so much, I barely recognise it.

  • just beautiful, he could have sung the telephone directory and still melt everyones' hearts..

  • @sairyloo stimmt!!

  • Nice cover

  • all he touches just turns to gold

  • Jeff Buckley could make a Justin Bieber song beautiful.

  • @cbhitman1

Will people stop mentioning this little turd. Jesus Christ hes Disney. Anyone with any taste knows it. Its offensive just to mention real artistic talent and the "turd" in the same sentence. Its like saying Beethoven could make the birdy song sound amazing. Yes he could but why would he want to. Turds arent worth polishing.

You cant go to a music video on you tube now without seeing his name. Hes being pushed and promoted by people that claim not to like him.

  • @cbhitman1 LOL :( but too bad he can't sing anymore. It's hard to sing underground.

  • @cbhitman1 please refrain from mentioning anything ugly on any jeff page such as the name justin beiber. i've had enough!

  • @cbhitman1 hahahahahahahahah thats is the best line i have heard gratifying an artist in years........ you have made my day, and i went you see god is an astronaut play earlier this evening..... hahaha.

  • @cbhitman1 lol and you're right

  • @cbhitman1 No one can do it!D:

and the bob Dylan version is better, does not need to be improved

  • @cbhitman1 don't say that names togheter!! :D

  • @cbhitman1

    please...

    justin bieber = crap

    jeff Buckley = chocolate

  • I love Bob Dylan....but this is better..Buckley just hits me deeper I can't explain it

  • Wow...

  • Tomorrow is your birthday and fucking miss your music. Damn you shouldnt die you are a great between small and marketing singers. RIP my idol.

  • @sbhg26 his bday is November 17 FYI

  • Just like a a great musician

    <3 miss you

  • I like this cover, but I think it lacks the warmth and personal feel of the original. It's very "Buckley", and I don't think his style is really suitable for Dylan songs.

    Feel free to disagree (:

  • hates that jus because jeff was seen as a bit kooky, this should be regarded as good, its fuckin terrible, destroys a classic song !

  • This is beautiful and emotional.

And in reply to a stupid comment which it won't let me reply to for some reason, Neither Tim nor Jeff were superior. They both had real talent.

  • Jeff, I salute you and what you may have become, but your father Tim had the real talent.

  • @lentas08 respectfully disagree!

  • @deathkampdrone ur a piece of shit...jeff was a fucking god

  • Great version. I prefer Dylans... but not by much.

  • Please I need tabs for this version I really need it

  • @alonsoiphone just play around for awhile, you'll figure it out

  • WoW WoW WoW... You deleted my comment just because I said Dylans live version in 66 was better than this???? Where's my "freedom of speech" you animal???? Jeff is class but this version is a bit like making the best chocolate cake ever, then pouring onion gravy all over it!! Soz Jeff RIP x

  • here's one man who doesn't hesitate to play alternate tunings (like many women) and doesn't dare (out of respect) to copy Dylan's voice.

Is Queen Mary here reference to a transvestite? (ah who cares...)

  • to be at sin e that night must have been amazing, the only dylan cover that just may be better than bobs version, jeff had a way of pouring his soul into a song.what a shame he was taken from this life so young r.i.p

  • @PrePiovaPost your fucking crazy...dont say hes annoying when your horrible.. u have no right..you clearly dont know who he is so lets keep it that way...

  • God i love this man..Beautiful song..

  • 3 people need hunting down...

  • é pena que tantos artistas, com este tão novo e tão talentoso, nos deixem tão cedo.para nunca mais esquecer,e para sempre lembrar,R.I.P. JEFF,YOU ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED

  • I am a huge fan of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and only heard of Jeff through him. This man is a simply incredible artist, a true genius at work and has totally transformed my view of so called 'western' music

  • @rashidhussain good for you!!!

  • @rashidhussain

    "dude's like my elvis"

Lol have you heard buckley's sin-e performance of nusrat? It's hilarious and amazing at the same time

  • @rashidhussain you need to listen to the richie havens version

  • @daddy12345 hey i found u again what are the freakin chances of that happening? i never knew u liked jeff buckley hallelujah hahahahaha hows your bro doing still playing golf? hahahaha hows delhi this time of year still begging on the streets?

  • the whole song is great but everything from about 4:35 on is sublime

  • This is a great performance, I love it PLEASE GUYS I NEED THE TABS OF THIS VERSION

  • 3 people missed the like button, its okay you have butter fingers

  • I cannot stop listening to this since I heard it yesterday. It completely takes my breath away. Just when you think you know Jeff you find a track that makes you fall in love with him all over again.

I'm reading Dream Brother and it's taken me to all kinds of Buckley gems (including his fathers, another musical genius)

  • i think jeff's version is better than bob dylan's

  • this guy is the 90s

  • over complicated a song that already said everything that needed to be said, in my humble opinion

  • @karltwiz no idea what you're talking about. this is sung how the lyrics are read

  • A LEGEND COVERING A LEGEND

  • I am a HUGE Dylan fan- so in love, BUT, yah, jeff tops it.

  • omg god bless you jeff

  • This is a good version of the song, but anyone who says it is "better than Bob's version" doesn't know what they're talking about, since Dylan himself had many versions of this song as he performed it over the years.
