  • freightliner cascadia... best truck ever

  • Great video.. Like the effects.. You may have answered this before but where are the road shots taken at? Look like I-70 through Colorado?

  • @alsknwlf Thank you for the nice comments. The video was shot in Colorado off the beat path of US 6.

  • yes

  • Comment removed

  • Soundtrack had 100% to do with why this vid rocks, you did a great job with this Steve.

  • Alright. Here's the feedback. Steve, this video was amazing. Why? it has nothing to do with the truck, or you. it simply has to do with the visual effects you used. Outstanding brother. What software did you use? I am seriously impressed. Very pro.

  • nice video man. but trailer would gave it a more aggresive look.

  • The road kick some ass i love it out there there nothing like it.

  • If your still thinking about doing this i just want you to know that trucking is not the happy go lucky job it used to be,that's why I'm posting all of this. As always, you do what you want but just be ready for reality when it comes knocking at your door!

  • with what it costs to survive out on the road your lucky to bring home $400. They fine you for anything,no parking places, everything in has gone up and it's only getting worse. Not to mention if they do mandate the paperless logs and speed limiters in ALL trucks then your pay will drop like a rock because you cant do enough miles to make a living. I love driving and miss it like crazy but until the industry and drivers change there is not way in hell i will ever go OTR agian!

  • @zLOSTNOMOREz ....I use paperless logs now, and my truck is limited to 66 MPH. If you keep the driver's door shut, and drive like a real trucker, you can knock off 600 miles a day. That is 3600 a week, if all goes well. I usually do about 2,500 a week, which pays me $1,150. after taxes, I have about $800 take home. I don't stop at truck stops 10 times a day like some guys do, which keeps me making money, and not spending it. It is a tough job, but strong people can do it.

  • @JimsTruckerTech Remember when,we could run the way we wanted without worrying about a $10k fine, when there was plenty of parking for everyone, when we could idle the truck to stay warm or cool, when U could eat a good meal for under $10,when people were respectful to each other, when you could run all week but be home on the weekend and still make good money? Those days are long gone! What UR making is not the norm and any newbi should not expect anything close to that unless, they never go home!

  • @zLOSTNOMOREz , Yeah, I am old enough to remember when being a trucker was more fun than anyone had a right to have. It has been poisoned, but is still better than going to some factory job, and spending 40 hours or more in the same building

  • @JimsTruckerTech ....strength has is limits. How long one drives a truck depends on how much screwing they can deal with,15 years was more than enough for me!

  • @zLOSTNOMOREz You are right. They do screw with you a lot, but you learn to adapt, and overcome. When you start out trucking, you have to take what is offered. If you go a year with no problems, the offers will get better, little by little. The problem is a lot of drivers get comfortable where they are, and stop climbing the ladder. I have fought long and hard to get to where I am, and it was not easy at all. I just want everyone to know it is possible, if you are dedicated, to make it work

  • Yes it's in my blood but trucking is not the way it used to be. In the last 5 years it's gone downhill,it's said. No 1 talks on the radio or at the T stops.People have gotten even more rude&trucking as a hole has gone from bad to worse! So after 15 yrs i gave it up. I have never had a ticket or wreck and yet companies still treated me like crap. So to anyone thinking about doing this.Don't buy into the hype U see on some of these Utube vids.

  • Very cool video.

1- Short, sweet, and to the point

2- Great selection for background music

    3- ****NO F-BOMBS****

Really Steve, you can do some great stuff, when you hold yourself to a higher standard, and stop with all the off-color language.

  • sweet6 vid man. i pull wrench on semi's now but as soon as i get my full licence and can get my class 1 (a) i think im leavin that business to drive its fer sure in my blood!

  • I'm only 15 years old, but my daddy, and his daddy was a truck driver, and ever since i was little iver always wanted to be a truck driver, just the feeling of being out on the open road calm and relaxed, truck stops, sleeping in the truck everything, its just amazing. So well, since my father and his dad where all truck drivers, i think its in my blood for me to be one. i love being out there with him. its simply incredible., im going out again for two weeks with him! keep on truckin!

  • bad ass video!

Steve any Advise ?? i would apreciate your response..

  • $60,000 to just sit there and drive. Who said?

  • That's awesome! Very well done!

  • well done , so true. Thanks

  • i have people try and talk me out of trucking all the fuckin time but what they got to understan is once you start you cant stop

  • very nicley done i really like the different shots

  • very nice I like the different shots angles I'm a driver for the past 23 years. very nicely done young man

  • A friend of mine completed his class A training and he got his cdl, but he decided not to do it for a living unless it was local. He told me he couldn't see himself with a trainer for 4-6 weeks(depending on company) living in a truck together. The problem he's having is most local driving jobs want some experience.

  • truckers r awsome

  • deep stuff

    good work mate

  • Better to get a educated job. Some Govt. Administration jobs make $720.000.00 per year. President Clinton retired earining a revenue of $7.3 million per year for life. Rather be a cop with respect than a trucker.

  • I hear you driver. I too have tried to leave the industry, I miss the road, and I miss the life. It has pulled me back in, and I am looking forward to it. If I could come back to May I would, but it's not happening... That being said, keep the shiny side up driver!

  • @shrek98034

You ask a fat trucker is why the economy is so bad. You ask me Trucking don't amount to much. The factory pays the bills not a fat trucker. Maybe your whore will work the factory you fat trucker.

  • Keepup the great work. Yes its in your blood. How i dont know but your doing a good job

  • Hey Trucker Steve! Thought I'd let you know, for the past two weeks, I've been down here in Mira Loma, CA taking a class with CR England driving school. I'm to the point where we're driving across town, and Mon (tomorrow) we're starting the downhill procedure. So far, the class has been great. You get a laugh every day with these guys lol.. Everybody in the class has a handel already, and by wed or thurs, I should be over the road with my trainer for three months. Hope to hear back. Take care!

  • Typical truck, 1 mile of cars behind it.

  • I love this video. My hubby and I ran long haul for 10 yrs and been away from it for a few years, but thinking of getting back to it...great video. and it is true, once in your blood always will be.

  • I don't know what you're talking about the Freightliner Cascadia is one of the best looking trucks out there like the KW T700.

  • Nice have a trailor on the back next time ... ;)

  • hey nice clip!

  • hey man hows that cascadia ride man? does it ride like all the other freightshitters?

  • Man I just love this video Steve I come like ones a week to watch it lmao

  • This is an amazing video! The timing of the music with the action is moving. Should make anyone want to jump in a rig and just drive.

  • That looks like the Fraser Canyon!

  • i just like all the tramps that hang out around truck stops

  • didn't even see the username, i'm bobby not the wife

  • you know, people laugh about the whole trucking thing being in your blood thing, and i think they are retarded, i got into truck driving about 7 years ago, unfortunately it didn't last long because of issues i was having from the iraqi invasion. Ever since then, all i wanted to do is get back on the road. I have come to terms with things since then, and now, after all this time i am going through the process of getting back on the road.

  • What is it about sleeping in a truck with no APU, brushing your teeth in a Pilots restroom, peeing into a bottle in the middle of the night and being on duty 14 days straight and only getting paid for 4 hours in a 24 hour period that is appealing? I have been away from the life for 2 years now but have a strong desire to climb back in a truck. I compare truckers to cowboys and bikers. The trail calls the cowboy like the open road calls to the trucker and the biker. I liked this video Steve.

  • @mrdrivebytrucker Thank you brother trucker!

  • Steve great work bro, I know this is off topic but what do you think about your Cascadia? Do you like it? and how is the fuel economy?

  • hey i came off the road 10 years ago but thinking of going back. one question i have is about that no idling law do most guys sleep in cold sleepers now ? if so drivers get treated worse then inmates at a big house i think

  • I really liked the video. This job is all I have ever wanted to do, so I love when I can see that there are some people just like me! haha. Keep up the good work!

  • im a yard jockey, im so used to going backwards, not so sure about going forward. lol. goin for my cdl soon, i cant wait. i meet alot of truckers everyday, i envy the job you do and the balls it takes. great video, take care.

  • For the Sequel you should use a guy who drives a Kenworth T700.

  • good vid i can smell the diesel.

  • I'm not digg'n the massive single tires.

  • cool...i like the fade ins / fade outs.

    nice truck too.

  • is it in my blood?????...shit i think i have diesel blood or something is wrong with me.

  • my nephew and i loves that was a great video, like big daddy tom said you really need to make another one like that, hey, make one a month like that and be the envy of kids 5 to17 and every one else!!! another episode"the adventure of future trucker"

  • dobre i ładnie zrobione. czuć tę moc, tego ducha...

  • Hell no it aint in my blood. 5 months of that B.S. was too much. Being unemployed is better than driving. on the up side, I'm lost anymore!

  • I feel you man......You love it but then again you hate it.

  • Every time I watch it I get emotion !

    A masterpiece !

    Thanks Steve !

  • @chiodovideo Thank you so much. I feel the same about your videos too. One day I will come to Italy to meet you and we will make a MEGA video!

  • dad is a trucker, he wants me to get my CDL and team with him, I might.

  • great video im trying to get on at central refridgerated should find out monday when i can start school ill be a 4th generation trucker im pretty excited about it, cant say the same for my wife but watchin your videos finally made me decide i wanna drive truck. hope to see ya out there on the road one day

  • ever since I met my husband 13 years ago I love the trucks. Right now we are not on the road, but will be back to it in the next year.Thank god, cause I miss it.Besides the places we went, the people we met, we made good on some special weekends like in Niagra,Mexico and others.

People want to put the trucks down, but think about this....WITHOUT TRUCKS AMERICA STOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i did not care 4 this one a truck with out a trl. is like a dog with out balls.

  • KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AN MAY MIGHT LET YOU PULL A TRAILER SOMEDAY

  • All of my acknowledgements!!

  • I grew up with my father who was a trucker and dedicated to the roads for many years but is now passed on due to a tragic death he's missed very much. I may not be one myself being singl mom, but I know the love for the highway is strong and in my blood.

  • I havent even started driving I leave for school in 17 days but I wont shut up about it I want to thank you and all the rest who post these videos for giving me a heads up on what I can expect although my wife hates the idea of it it is weird it feels like I was meant to do this dont know if that makes any sense to anyone but anyways thanks brother and drive safe hope to meet you on the road one day dinner will be on me lol

  • Driving these water trucks in Arkansas, some times you got to make it go into gear. , but I am missing the open road. For now I must be content with this job, but most likley, down the road I will be O.T.R. again.

  • I get what you are saying in this video> I've been there and I am going right back to it. Great sound corregraph and video shots> I really like it and am right there with you.

  • its as hard as crack to quit

  • @fitzergyzzmo the travel ops are great when you are youg however it is a very corrupted industry to work in. When I found 2+ years of experience wasn't getting me the desired local pay and the day shift I was looking for, I just went into other sectors of the workforce. Only problem when one does that, the trucking companies will look at that as an negative for exploring other career options making that 2+ years mean sqaut. That is what I mean by corrupted industry where xp is not credited.

  • take away the music it would be better

  • Yes I tried to get away too but the road has a heartbeat and it seems to be in time with yours, it's out there calling your name like a lonely lover. The Road.

  • hey steve, just wanna say i appreciate what you do. i first started driving when i turned 21, for schneider national. watching your vids give me a place to escape to, it's like im in another world. i've been off the road now for about a year, and i'm going back the 23rd of this month for orientation. yes, trucking is in my blood. over half of my family members has driven a tractor trailer for most of their lives. hopefully, we will meet someday over the road. stay safe out there, brother.

  • Great camera work. Nice video!!!

  • Wow now that's some kick ass editing hands down best I've seen on YouTube

  • 0:32 0:40 that was COOL!

  • now show a video going through kansas ramming gears

  • @joncbr1000rr Not sure how to do that one. You good at ramming the gears?

  • Awesome video partner...;)

  • Have to say again. This is as great video. Really gives a sense of wanting to be a trucker.

  • loll everytime those 2 beats change your changing the camera view i'm a future trucker. i'm trying to find out as much as i can about being a trucker

  • @237870 Maybe one day we will meet on the road! Good luck to ya trucker!

  • Ha-Ha probably we will meet on the road loll who knows

  • @Whitelinefilms probably we will meet on the road. haha who knows

  • Keep em coming props

  • Those mountains are incredibly dramatic. Very cinematic piece.

  • Freightliner cascadia :)

  • Very nice videos Steve.

  • i thought you did well; very intense.

  • Very cool video... nice vibe! And yes, it is in my blood! :)

  • 20 years of driving over the road and let me tell you, it takes your body over! I have retired from driving and i still want to get back out on the road and hammer down and talk trash. My handle was one-step. Thanks brother, great video. One-step just waving a hand!!!

  • Excellent high impact audio. Would make a great movie intro.

  • 14 years pulling a reefer 48 state...I'm not trucking anymore , but damn I hate staying in one place very long..Haha

  • So I thought about getting back behind the wheel and said Yeah. I m only doing 16 hours aweek , 2 short runs ( about 350 mile round trip ) a week . No one else wanted this but it suits me just fine its just enough. Nice truck too ( its an old 2003 Nissan Diesel Big Sam -lovely machine , not many about here in UK ). So , anyhow , one way or another trucking has " called " me back . It just wont leave you alone!

  • Great vid Steve . I enjoy your vids. Ive been trucking on and off and doing other jobs for years ( some involving driving a truck as well as part of the job ) But trucking just seems to keep "finding" me and pulling me back. For last 3 yrs Ive been working from home ( I make Neon tubes , which is also my hobby ) Then month ago a trucking company I used to work for asked me if Id like to do a part time job that no one else wants ( they all want more hours ).

  • Nice video man love the editing. Oh and yup its in my blood for twenty five years now!!!

  • Good Video. If you keep coming back to where you were... Your probably in the RIGHT PLACE. Nearly 50 and kids finished school, I'm getting my licence in the next two weeks.

Time to change, I've been going in ever diminishing circles the last few years. Hoffa from Down Under (No relation to Jimmy)

  • Ok seriously.......THAT was a cool video!

  • AHHHH HAUNTED TRUCK!!!

  • Great video, Steve.

I wasn't out there for very long, but it's in my blood. I know I'll drive again, but right now I have to be at home.

I torture myself watching these videos, but it also makes me feel some peace, thinking about how much I loved bein' in the truck.

I hope you have some peace, either on the road or off.

When you're in town, lemme buy you a cup of coffee.

  • @nightowlvg You got it vern!

  • It DOES get in your blood! It's hard for me to keep working my desk job when I keep seeing big trucks on the freeway. I miss driving a big rig!

Was that opening seen shot on US 395 just south of the NV/CA line?

  • exellent video, perfect test if u ask me keep it up ,james

  • yo!! steve your video"s are off the chain the editing is sick!! really, really good stuff.. you keep making them and i"ll keep watching them.. i started putting my friend's on to your video"s yo! steve i"m a trucker also. "stay safe out and stay in between the lines" LOL...

  • Hey Steve! Do those single rear wheels allow you the same load on your axles? And what's that shaft with the u-joint at 1:29? Does it come from the tranny?

    Thanks! Drive safe

  • Hey Steve I like to know if May Trucking is good to work for ?? Let me know ok thanks ?? Be safe out there !! Like your video there good 10 Stars

  • Great montage !

  • Thank you, I admire your work too, I would like to collaborate with you at some point, what you say?

  • @ Whitelinefilms - I'd love to work with you in any project that puts in a good light truck, the problem is that I do not speak English, because I use a translator online. If you think that is possible contact me !

  • where are the new uploads

  • Hmmm, why don't you make videos any more?

  • Been mad busy bro, working on trucker steve 2.0 It will be dope believe that just laying the ground work.

  • That's cool, as long as you didn't quit youtube, lol. I hope you're doing good bud, long time no see.

  • Comment removed

  • i know what you talking about i drove truck for about 15 years toronto to van. bc.

got out of it for the last 14 years now i'm looking to get back into it. i'm simie retired now and looking around

  • So true, kinda wish I've never gotten into this industry. However, after being gone a while to finish and put closure to all of my off road business I'll be back out there again one day. To the old and new drivers heading out always remember if not anything else, protect your independent spirit, health, and that CDL. I don't know about the rest of you,but I want vengeance to what's been done to the industry I learned to love so much.

  • on a side note mate how do you find the full width drive tyres, i have seen them before but not in use anywhere in australia.

  • great video mate but when are yours not? and i think if you want to get out you are giving yourself a great chance with your video/editing work. excellent work you do.

to answer your question, its in the blood but it also comes down to doing what you know. i think a lot of guys would get out if they could but they dont know any different. myself on the other hand i love the job (except for the stupid shit) and dont see myself doing anything else though i have done my trade as a machinist.

  • this is a freakin awesome video! Trucker Steve, you never fail to make a good video. i've watched almost every one you have! there is only 2 i haven't watched and im gonna do that now =]

  • like the super singals sweetttt

  • Dude love this video! Thanks for becoming friends with my channel, maybe u could subscribe aswell. Keep on truckin!

  • Love the american way of trucking But personaly i think europe is grater ... u got to see so many difrent coultures.

  • My grandpa was not only a trucker he owned his own logging company, so did my dad. I will probably do same. So I will probably be a 3rd gen logger/trucker.

  • I think i can say trucking is in your blood for the fact that i started driving them at 15 years of age. I am currently 16 and drive a truck decently without grinding, i can back up but most importantly i can take care of myself in the road. i know that takes years of experience but im getting there. So i think it is but some people are forced to because of the need for money and thats their last option. In my case, I WANT TO TRUCK!!!

  • As always, love your work bro, learn't something new too, you guys are running super single tyres on your tractor units, never knew that, may catch on here in europe soon...As for it being in your blood, yep, but i keep trying to get a transfusion......before it's to late !!! perhaps theirs a re-hab centre for coming off diesel........

  • We run with them here in Europe also.

Actually they been here alot longer then in USA.

  • I Been doing this 37 yrs.. dont know what i'd do if I coudnt do this anymore.. its in your blood, its a way of life also.. great job..5 stars

  • Ya gets into blood for sure, been out for just over a year now,,,,still perk up when i smell diesel. miss my pete

  • Comment removed

  • Just a freightliner? What is wrong with that? This is a nice truck. I have operated just about every make of truck on the road and this one can hold its own. Cosmetics are for girls, man up.

  • I have to say that was honestlly a great video it was so out of the ordenary not like some many of the other videos that just so the truck driveing you had allot of action shots and a exiting music great job! 5 stars!

  • wow realy amazing video keep those wheels rolling

  • Excellent video photography.great editing.if you get out of trucking.I think you found your next profession.

  • i se that you have singel tires on the drive axels is that good??and you have roller treads too how is that working in the snow??i can se that it`s saves diesel.

  • They are like the old "Screamin' Demon" 2 cycle Detroit Diesels. Some drivers and companies swear by them and some swear at them. Their main plus, is decreased tare weight. saving nearly the weight of four tire side walls and two rims per axle, as much 1200 lb on a standard 5 axle unit. Some driver's report a sort of "wallow" effect because of increased sidewall flex and increased stopping distance on wet roads due to decreased tire/road contact area.

  • so if they have increased stopping distance in just rain and wet roads then they really should suck in snow??

  • I don't know. I imagine if you know how to drive, like someone with some sense, in snowy conditions, then you probably wouldn't have much of a problem. There are chains made to fit them.

  • 5 stars aint enough, i give you 10. love the video

  • Well,I am not a video maker myself but I liked it.

  • trains in mine but cool vid anyway ! 5*s

  • Great video you have a nice feel for it but youve got to develop it more... more about the lifestyle, faces, places, and for gawd sakes get a trailer, bobtailing aint truckin!

  • there is a reason why truckers are given the nickname Gear Jammer's. And beside auto's don't have the torque that a manul trans. has. Heavy loads aka "super loads" are hard of automatic trans.

  • ofcourse truck dring is in ouwer blood:P

truckers are the heroes on the land whit them no clothes and stuf like that respect to te truckers my dad is a eu trucker:D

    5/5 and nice vid

  • Only people who can't shift worth the shit run auto's

  • Dude this has gotta b the stupidest thing I have ever seen

  • I'm sorry that you never learned to read....

    Descriptions dummy

  • you guys still in manual gearshift???

    Wake up man, its 2010!

  • I'm a TRUCK DRIVER! Not a steering wheel holder!

  • @Whitelinefilms ah, so you gotta portable typewriter too instead of a comp keyboard then? think, man...gearshifting dont add anything. know the expensive flippershift, like in formula 1-cars? scanias goit it. standard. in case uou wanna overrule the machine...

enjoy youself in the meantime, truck looks great

  • Most American drivers don't want a automatic it is a ego thing..

  • Loved it man, would have been better with a trailer, looking forward to the next video, hope it has a trailer, this 1 was great all the same.

  • I loved it,looks like a scary movie

  • Awsome, awsome only short but its so powerfull this was the first of steves video's i came across and i never get tired of watchin it. filmed like a pro steve, who says truckers are dum!!!

  • pretty cool video, looks like it straight outta movie, i like it!

  • I dont like those super single tires. When one blows you almost roll over. I see your company is running a lot of T2000's.

  • I have blown one out (tire defect only 1700 miles on them) And it was fine! From the time i it blew out till I was back on the free way was less then a hour I was in the boonies too. You cac check out my vid BIG RIG TRUCKER 2 if you want to see one blown out!

As far as the t2000's we don't have even one t2000...

I thought I would hate these super singles but after having thm I don't know if I would get back the trl I'm pulling now even has super singles.

  • I been driving since 1987 and tried to get
