Great art is all about the details--drawing the young Barack in the one sketch holding the koran was a nice touch.

I would have also included a series of sketches showing him bowing to various prominent figures, such as King Abdullah, Japanese PM, mayor of Orlando, mailman, his cat, etc.

Actually, the shading (or shadows) is the same. The only difference in skin with different ethnicities is the intensity of color you're using.

If you look at the Obama sketches I did in the video, there's no more shading than I'd do of a drawing of anyone else.

I think all artists have a personal responsibility to use their talents morally, and to question how others may want to use them for their talents because their power to influence people is powerful. And funny enough even though I don't speak for Matt I think he would agree it's important to be skeptical and incredulous even if he disagrees with how I view people like Obama.
