@elsporko ooh very cool, and it could keep up with the band with no problem? sweet. Just asking because I intend to buy this amp for band practise, and it's nice to see it in action. Btw nice cover u guys did here, saw your other vids aswell, nice guitar playing :)
@elsporko Yeah, and you got an amazing clean tone on those 2 videos at the wedding, really clear and tight, although everyone dishes the thing's clean channel... Anyway, thanks a lot, you really helped me in my decision of buying this or saving for the head!
@Makau93 I was using a different amp in the wedding video. I was using my old little 30w Spider II amp (Man that was so long ago... That video was my first live performance ever!). The cleans on the 6505+ aren't spectacular, but it's definitely usable. If you roll back the treble/mids quite a bit on the amp, and roll back your volume/tone on your guitar then it's decent. It helps if you put a bit of reverb or chorus on it as well. If you're running through a PA system then you won't have a
@elsporko problem. If you're running it just through the amp and trying to keep up with the rest of the band, then you might have trouble keeping it clean and crisp without it breaking up. It's a great amp, but it's definitely a balls-to-the-wall gain monster.
@elsporko oh damn thats not good.... well as long as it does not break up A LOT,I mean, like a bad overdrive, i dont mind. I'm not a fan of fender-like clean tones anyway... How would you compare it with the spider? cuz i have a spider iv 30w right now and it must be cranked on max to be able to keep up with my band so o.O and the cleans sound really bad when very loud ....
@Makau93 I would say my 6505+ has a /lot/ more balls to it than the spider. It's been a long time, but I don't remember my spider giving me anywhere near the kick of my 6505+. It's hard to explain. If you're able to go to a music store and try out a 6505+ or a comparable amp, you'll know what I mean. I never really used my Spider II in a band situation. Another huge advantage is the effects loop so you can actually use delay/reverb/etc pedals :P
@elsporko yeah the effects loop will be handy, as will the msdi thing. I just hope it does have more volume, because the spider is just too weak, the sound doesnt cut through very well, but if u say u can play with a band with post on 3 then there is definitely a diference :P
hey man nice performance, can i ask you something, what volume was your 6505 in here (post knob)?

@Makau93 This was quite a while ago so I'm not sure. It was probably around 3 or so.

@Makau93
Thank-you :)
I've had no problems with the amp in a band setting. Volume and cutting through the mix definitely isn't an issue with this beast.
