  • lololololololololol

  • Lol Kanye actually is a sampler, he puts em on his Ensoniq ASR-10, chops em up, etc.

  • Notice: This is what Daft Punk actually does.

  • Daft punk is talentless all they do is sample. and eminem is so horrible all he does is rap fast with his nasally voice

  • @OfficialLarisaRudder

    Daft Punk AREN't TALENTLESS.

  • @OfficialLarisaRudder

thats why he is proclaimed the best rapper and best hip hop artist...

  • hey whats that eminem song?

  • @lopoke89 Without me

  • West didn't technically "rip off" Daft Punk; even in the music video, Daft Punk is in it, meaning he got creative permission to use it.

That being said, it is getting all too common that hip hop artists are using samples of already great songs and pretending like THEY made something, when they're really just piggybacking off of someone else's success.

  • @MapleLeafAce Anyone could put on a mask and it could look like daft punk. If you look closely, it isn' really them because thomas bangalter is slightly shorter. Also if you notice in the grammys when DP preformed, thomas and guy were the same height when everyone clearly know that thomas is a lot taller. Fail is everywhere.

  • Hip hop using samples?! NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!

  • what program is this

  • Well it's just because kanye west is talentless, you know what he does?

He walks into a room with a professional producer, some prewritten lyrics, makeup and sings for a minute, it's all autotuned, thrown on a copied song and then sold.

It's all just for money like all other pop-stars, Kanye is just a talentless rapper like allthe others on the radio now.

  • NO SHIT SHERLOCK

you're the worst type of retard. The smart retard.

  • sorry but J Dilla slowed down and rapped over a daft punk song in 1998 and they loved it so much they got him to remix Aerodynamic.

  • The song 'Harder better faster stronger' sampled from Edwin Birsong's song Cola Bottle Baby anyway so why are you acting so defensive for Daft Punk? I mean they are an awesome artist but they sample with almost all of their songs

  • If you want to hear the song Daft Punk sampled to make Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger it's Edwin Birdsong - Cola Bottle Baby.

    p.s. I love Daft Punk

  • im a producer who practice the Art of sampling...oh and what bout speeding up song its up the same is't it?? hmm i wonder is daft punk speeds up some of there samples too smh what the fuck do u know bout making music all u do is listen so shut up and listen

  • the point that Coco is trying to get at is that daft punk's original is awesome and kanye west noticed and decided to add his own little lyrics about how he is on someone..." thats so not true i bet u changed all that after the comments "I'm putting down slowing songs down and rapping over them." yea well im standing up for slowing songs down and rapping over them im not even a kanye fan(only liked his first album) its just the fact that ur trashing the sampling art of music FUCK YOUR LIFE

  • PS. Is [Kanye] so desperate that he has to sample songs that are barely a half of a decade old?" nooo its called showing love its old yes but how many ppl use the listen to daft punk b4 kanye did that REMIX...smh some ppl just dont understand the Art of music .... "I'm not putting down sampling. I'm putting down slowing songs down and rapping over them." hes a rapper/producer that's what he does -_- i bet if daft punk was just as mainstream as kanye you wouldnt be saying all that

  • Kanye west is a producer and a rapper smh all producers sample smh its just like another house dj did a remix thats all ..hmmm i wonder if daft punk ever remixed anybody else song ...smh its just the same smh ur acting like Kanye said it was his original beat...stop acting like a child ... at least the man knows good music ....this just shows that u have zero understanding about the Art of music. its called showing love smh

  • kind if ironic he chose daft punk..... they sample soooooooooooooo much.

  • @MrConscience08 but they are house artists. its what they do. kanye west is a rapper.

  • Kanye used to produce beats for Jay-Z and he writes all his own lyrics.

  • It looks like you're sore that your hax sampling skills didn't get you all the dirty dollars and bitches that Kanye pimps all day. U mad?

OMG this is crazy! I had never heard of Daft Punk until you pointed out Kanye sampled their music. Thank you for pointing out that Kanye samples music and is a horrible artist and person. From now on I will only listen to unsampled music. I guess that means I won't be listening to Daft Punk anymore.

  • you sir, are an ignorant fuck. hip-hop IS sampling, look up your history yo.

  • OKAY??

  • your a faggot.

  • This video is a fail...don't know if this has been said but daft punk also used a sample in their original song

  • @89whodatcha

    HOLY FUCK NO WAY

  • @cocomonkilla Kanye's samples lack innovation? You'd be killed if you said that out on the street. Listen to POWER, the sampling is some of the best to hit the music industry. A constant loop in the background from a 1978 song, Afromerica, pitched and chopped to perfection, and a chorus sample of 21st century Schizoid Man which hits hits the beat perfectly. Synths, electric guitars and an edited beat provided by producer S1. Awesome beat!!! So stop complaining and buy his album!

  • I dont get it, its called sampling, I like both versions and daft punk had no problem with kanye seeing as they preformed with him at the grammys

  • @HoodStyles2 Probably a MPC no daw programs

  • Kanye's version isn't just slowed down, though, especially considering he really only took a vocal sample. The backing for that vocal sample sounds like a goddamned opera house! Tons of synth beats and grooves not taken from the original. You wanna talk about doing very little to a song to make your new hit single, take a look at "Otis" off the new album.

Thing is, Otis is just supposed to be fun, so that song is still totally great.

  • what is the program

  • The uploader is a complete idiot. It's fucking called sampling. That is what Kanye did. He took a part of the song, added some drums, strings, horns, hats and altered his sample. -_- SAMPLING. Remember that. If you don't know what it is, Google it. Kanye uses Logic and Pro Tools. Not some DJ program.

  • You seem to think you've discovered some big secret. The thing is, that's how hip-hop has worked since like the late 70's. I'm not defending Kanye or anything, but that's essentially what hip hop is as far as beats.

  • In the music video kanye and DAFT PUNK are both in it

  • Let's just completely forget about the synth lines, the drum lines, and the orchestral portions that he put in there. Sampling is an artform. There's a reason why Kanye is where he is now as a producer, man. It's also true that Daft Punk sampled "Cola Bottle Baby" for "Harder Better Faster Stronger". Look it up, man.

  • no daft punk and kanye west actually collabed but thats wut daft punk did

  • holy fuck your loop sounded like shit

  • Comment removed

  • Kanye's sampling is actually some of the best in hip hop, and his musical knowledge is quite impressive. I dare you to name any other rapper who uses King Crimson, Bon Iver, and Steely Dan in their songs.

  • @iamnotascientisi I dare you to name a completely original kanye song.

  • @PeskyPanda The New Workout Plan

  • @PeskyPanda Brand New, Everything I'm Not Made Me Everything I Am, Barry Bonds, Half Price, Everything i got,

  • completely original? lmao kanye samples most his shit. nothing wrong with it its js how music is

  • men you didn,t show shit everybody know,s it is a daft punk sampel

i bet you cant,t make it a hit

  • notice how he didnt talk crap about eminem?

  • I hate you!!!!! Kanye west's stropnger is NOT ORINGINAL!!!!!

  • sampling shows creativeness.

and for your info daft punk samples most of their music too

  • @l0vlockdown That's true

  • I agree with you completely-these types of songs should be classified as "poetry" not "music"

  • music today is so shitty

  • Hey, Lil Wayne did the same thing with that damn bannana song (lol) but he never interupted Taylor Swift so I guess nobody hates on him...

  • @HeroicHoundoom Bangladesh made it. Not Lil Wayne.

  • @HeroicHoundoom

You don't hate on the speech impaired. That's just cruel.

  • Most these people that say Daft Punk over Kanye is just talking out they ass, most off them wouldn't know daft punk if it wasn't for Kanye

  • also neither kanye nor daft punk's song is original theyre both sampled so this guy doesnt know what hes talking about

  • @murdrrify daft punk's was a remix. kanye just plain ripped daft punk off while paying them for the rights. daft sampled one part and added it to their song as a piece of the song. kanye took that part and looped it as the entire song.

  • @MrGuitarable all daft punk did was add the words harder, better faster stronger to the sample and they looped it too

  • @murdrrify obviously you cant hear. listen to it. they actually did some work with it. and they didnt loop it endlessly throughout the song. just compare the amount of work put into harder, better, faster, stronger to the amount of work put into kanye's version.

  • @MrGuitarable ok the only other thing they did was loop it faster and add different beats to it. not my fault u have to think daft punk is more talented than everyone else

  • @MrGuitarable You're a fucking idiot.

  • @SuperShaunSheep oh? that's fucking fascinating. do go on.

  • hating on kanye would make u a hypocrite. daft punk has samples in almost all of their songs. they do the same thing. just add a beat and a few instruments. the only difference with rappers is they rap over it. so take out ur tampon and quit bitching about rappers sampling. just bc u dont like rap doesnt mean u should say theres no talent. i dont see any of u on tv selling hits and preforming in front of crowds. think about it

  • what program is that??

  • Comment removed

  • @Noddles404

People seem to be harder on Rappers in general when they sample or unintentionally create a beat similar to what is on market. They can hand out credit left-and-right, have written approval by the original holder of the song yet still be looked upon as a the worst person.

Oh well, I personally like all kinds of music how ever it is created or by whom ever.

  • @Noddles404 no. they appeared for like 5 seconds in the video and did one live performance with them. that's it. that's not nearly enough credit. it's daft punk. there is never enough credit when you fuck with classics like that.

  • @Noddles404 Like 15 times

  • This guy has problems

  • Ok i was at a show In DC one night. A girl being Dumb said that the *Daft punk* was Kanye Voice. I'm sorry But to jump in there and save they girl from stupidity damn that song been out longer then Kanye started sampling ? But it goes to show you Promotion or just down right cant come up with your own thing. Music Is changing. So Let auto tune our way to the future!!

  • Lol kanye gets permission to use samples. And sampling is a art it self. Ppl think that sampling is easy and non creative but its actually really hard and takes skill.

  • @MistaTamilan Yes, but there's a huge difference between creative sampling (like sampling a stab from a symphony, mapping it across the keys in your sampler, and playing a completely original melody with it) and what Kanye does. I'm sorry, but taking an 8-bar loop and putting drums over is not "sampling". It's stealing an idea from someone else. If you wanna see what real sampling is, check this out: watch?v=eU5Dn-WaElI

  • @futilerecordings ye does that too. this is my fav instrumental but not the best ye has did. finding samples is hard. and i call this looping not sampling. to me sampling is wat u just said.

  • what is the song from the begining and the end of the video

  • this is a mint video, shows how shit and un-imaginative the producers are, its all just stealing good original tunes and pumping it out as something new

  • kanye is the BEST sampler in the game. no one can take a simple sample like him and create something completely new and fresh. this video is ignorant.

  • so he sampled the daft punk song , just like daft punk sampled it from someone esle ..

  • wow its not kanye wests its daft punk thats bs

  • Do you people know anything about music?...YOU have to get clearance before you fucking use anyone song/sample..You act like kanye steals this shit & claims it as his own! ALSO if you knew anything about Hip-Hop, you would know all great producers sample music. Dilla. Pete Rock. 9th wonder. Dj Premier. Etc. FUCK!

  • If you watch the video Daft Punk is actually in it! i didnt see this song anywhere on the internet BEFORE Kanye produced it so how is it not an original song?

  • Its funny because daft punk practically just took the song "Coca Cola Bottle Baby" By Edwin Birdsong and just gave it a more house/techno feel. LEARN YOUR MUSIC FAGGOTS!!!

  • @DropKickSkiff yea cause everyone knows coca cola bottle was a smash hit. Most people don't even know who edwin birdsong is. I think most people get hostile over it cause daft punk is pretty well known and its fairly blunt and obvious. But I don't see the problem, Kanye credited them and even put them in the music video O_O.

  • @realunited12321 Im a music industry major and an active engineer, not sayin I know more than you, but I sure as hell know what I'm talking about, and it IS all about promotion. Sure, well thought out, talented songs come about in the major industry from time to time, but Stronger isn't one of them. The ear worm that gets stuck in most peoples heads is Daft Punk, not Kanye or the Beat (which also isn't original by the way, just the patches) So it's being a hit has VERY little to do with Kanye.

  • @McShane139 To say its all about promotion is just wrong. For example, Britney Spears new singles get promoted like hell, but they still doesn't become hits because they basically sucks. And Kanye is a hated man in the US, so if any of his songs are hits, its because they are good. Of course the Daft Punk sample is what stuck in peoples heads after hearing the song, but you got to recognize Kanye for realizing its potential and using it in a way that goes well with the public, that takes talent.

  • horrible loop

  • Daft Punk. 2 french DJs. What do Djs do? Cut samples and mix tracks. Kanye West. "producer". What does a producer do? they PRODUCE music. Kanye doesn't; he samples out and gets Timberland to do the rest. This dude is an arrogant prick who mislabels himself, and gets famous off the hard work of others. Daft Punk samples out a little hook for their songs, Kanye ripped the whole damn song, and if I hear ONE MORE IDIOT claim that Daft Punk sampled Kanye's Stronger...

  • Comment removed

  • I like how you "proved" how Kanye did it. Like it already wasn't blatantly fucking obvious to everyone who heard the song for the first time

  • What? It never was supposed to be like he made it, Lots of songs do this. Probably a majority of rap/r&b music

  • hahaha im a better dj then this dude

  • @cleosimble me too

  • this is the definition of 'not getting it'

  • WTF man u r fun sik at VDJ u Gota help me onnit

  • i tought it said "Kanye West FEATURING daft punk?'

    so what's the problem?

  • @T42DJ It doesn't.

  • i don't like Kanye but can't deny his skill. he made it big.

  • It's called sampling... Almost every rap artist does it.

  • SINCE WHEN IS SAMPLING EQUAL TO STEALING?!

I HATE KANYE AND HE'S A SHIT RAPPER, BUT HE JUST SAMPLED DAFT PUNK! THEY'RE EVEN IN THE MUSIC VIDEO!

AND WHAT KANYE SAMPLED FOR DAFT IS ALSO SAMPLED FROM I DON'T REMEMBER WHERE! SO SUCK IT!

    idiot

  • @busyak its edwin Birdsong 'cola bottle baby'

  • You're a fucking dumbass. When he used the song for his new song, he didn't HIDE the fact that it was from the song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." It sounds EXACTLY like it, if he was going to make an effort to copy they're song, it wouldn't keep it exactly how it was before. "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is a really popular song and always has been, that's WHY he used it in his song. Also, he named the song "Stronger," after "Harder, Better, Faster, STRONGER." Get a life.

  • Ok to all you tards that think that this is Daft original production check-''Edwin Birdsong- Cola Bottle Baby''-a song from 80s.....Daft is doing the same crap that Kanye does....Taking the song from 70-80s speed it up,add a autotune vocal or some digital voice over, little proffesional compressing /mastering and voila!presto hit....

  • This is retarded. Its quiet obvious that anyone can slow down the daft punk song and make it into a beat. However, he thought of the idea, not you. He also didn't have his loops sound like garbage. Kanye also is a great producer and mixer that u couldn't dream of creating some of the music he has.

  • very good. In all fairness to kanye the song didnt turn out to bad

  • how do i save it to mp3 song?

  • lolololololol

  • Kanye's a rapper, not an electronic musician.

He's not really expected to come up with his own "beats", just the words.

Seriously, how many songs have you heard where they ripped the lyrics from a rap song, and played them over a different song?

  • @Big576 His one of the most respected producers in modern hip hop.. He made classic beats for Jay-z, Common, John Legend, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson and many more

  • kanye is a great producer/shitty rapper

  • Your a fucking idiot.

  • Absolutely one of the most idiotic video and statement ever made, and i personally hate Kanye and I'm sticking up for him.

  • hey dumb ass the were in the video its called a collaboration its not like he stole it and passed it off as his own

  • Why did you make this video? Everyone already knows he sampled Daft Punk. If you didn't, you're either sheltered, very close-minded, or have a horrendous taste in music.

  • cola bottle baby is the original i have just learned

  • Daft Punk>Kanye West. Not even comparable.

  • Daft punk sample their own songs

  • @dkDyno most of the samples they use are barely noticable, they change the tempo and key, thats why they can get away with it

  • unintelligence*

  • @realunited12321 "Why doesn't all of ya'll.." "...why dosent you.." "that many people enjoys.." your proof that main stream hip-hop breeds unintelligent... congratulations..

  • @arceyominyin Not quite sure what you are trying to say here..

    Mainstream*

  • im tired of all these comments hating on kanye on every daft punk video. yes, Kanye used a daft punk song to help create his own song. And now everyones comparing him to daft punk? Kanye sampled that song because he liked it, its not unoriginal. he made his own lyrics. is that unoriginal? no its not. so shut the hell up.

  • LMAO at the "Oh, and remember to add dumb background noise like guitar."

I think you over generalized that just a little. I think you meant add hours, days, and weeks of production to perfect a beat that is sample-driven, but has amazing, lush, and intricate accompaniment that not only portrays the focused idea Kanye wanted, but made it a hit.

  • Its Kanye West ft. Daft Punk, they were helping him make the beat.

  • KTT we in this bitch

  • your a fucking idiot.

  • lol wow why bash kanye west when other artist do the exact thing, its not even something bad, unless you make a crappy song other then that its completely fine

  • kanye & daft punk both sampled this... why u hatin'? it's a normal thing in the music industry nowadays. almost every hip hop artist samples songs from the 60s 70s or 80s. nothing wrong with that!!!

  • So... What I'm getting from this video is that you're stupid. "Look how original my video is by showing people how unoriginal Kanye West is by creating the exact same song as them because they stole Daft Punk's song who also stole Edwin Birdsong's song."

  • fuck you, go get a life. kanye is da truth

  • This has to be one of the dumbest videos I've ever seen. Just listen to Stronger. Yeezy took HBFS as the base of the song and expanded it with a lot of his own sounds, synths and percussion. If it is as simple as you say it is, why don't you do it for yourself and sell a million records?

And yes, I'm saying this as a big time Daft Punk fan. I own all their albums and Discovery is one of my favorite albums of all time, so don't think I'm a simple Kanye stan. Oh, and Daft Punk sampled this too.

  • for all the Daft Punk fans, just remember this is the song that gave them their first EVER TV appearance!

    Thank Kanye NOW

  • @MrMido21TV lol, no, wrong. they were famous in their country for quite a while

  • God this video is so fucking stupid.

Daft Funk samples too, but it's not bad because because their samples were harder to find? Kanye has sampled a fair share of obscure songs too. The majority of songs in MBDTF contain a sample. But God forbid he samples a somewhat popular song.

And Kanye added drums, guitar riffs, strings and synths, and the uploader even acknowledges this so...why the fuck does this video still exist? If it's a joke it looks like people aren't getting it.

  • @MortalKombatality Daft Punk and Kanye West are Gods, but...

N00B THEIR NAME'S Daft Punk NOT FUNK THUMBASS

  • @MortalKombatality I agree He's not doing anything "wrong" here, but at the same time He didn't have to do that much to make stronger a hit. As you said HBFS was already very successful at the time, and even with the additions he added, about 70% of stronger prominently plays the HBFS sample. Usually when an artist does that it's a "remix" for version "featuring" a new artist, but he kinda made it look like his own soul creation for a while IMO.

So he didn't really fuck up, it just looked bad.

  • @MortalKombatality Kanye added shit. The record producer did. Kanye was just autotuned.

  • damn ur stupid

  • Kanye>You. Listen to his music.....

  • Ok so if this is so easy? Why dosen't all of ya'll make a smash hit and become millionairs? Fucking idiots

  • @realunited12321 umm, if you watched this video and saw him press the two buttons required to make kanye's song, and you are saying that you are incapable of doing it, and it is not easy, then you are the fucking idiot. Get off kanye's dick

  • @WackoJacko1193 But if its so easy why dosent you do it? This video is so fucking stupid, "here's the proof this is exactly how Kanye did it", then you here kanyes version and its sounds alot different and much better.. And why does it matter how he made it, its a good song that many people enjoys, so stop all the bullshit, do you like the song or not??

  • @realunited12321 all this video proves is that kanye is a gay fish

  • @realunited12321 because most people are not clowns or have the support from a big record company...

  • @realunited12321 You need to make a name for yourself and then phone in the remaining 20 years of your career.

  • @Linnehan13 You are so ignorant its not even funny.. Kanye has amazing talent as a producer..

  • @realunited12321 I think you are short on thought with that. Imagine if you already "had" the reputation of being on TV and on Billboard charts.. Its not so hard to sample a song and make hits. Obviously if you and i or somebody else did it... no ones gonna fking acknowlege it. This is the part where sampling gets the "bad song" "easy money". To be honest with you.. adding that synth sound which is used 100 million times in pop music, with a beat is not so hard. They "want" you to think its hard

  • @blo0magic Well, lets say its not hard to make the beat itself. But I think you are missing out the point, If Kanye took that sample, and made it into a song that millions of people enjoys, what's the problem? Just because its easy to make its bad and Kanye is a idiot for making it? When you hear Daft punks version its hard to think that the Harder bettter faster stronger part can be tweeked into a brilliant hip hop song. and you got to acknowledg Kanye for understanding its potential.

  • @realunited12321 You have a good point but i was just answering to your statement directly.I was explaining that someone might make this but they would require the fame pre-made as much as kanye in order to "become millionares".

  • @realunited12321 technically speaking the production on stronger isn't very technically difficult.. the "difficult" part was coming up with the idea to sample daft punk. use some logic and re read your comment.

  • @npetrie76 Didn't I say that in the last comment?? And, uuuh, what music is technically difficult to make when you know exactly how its going to sound? Ofcourse coming up with the ideas is the hard part. Its not hard for a good guitar player to play a riff when he have the notes, I don't know what you are trying to say here

  • @realunited12321 I can tell you don't. What I mean is as far as rap beats go, stronger's not very creative. Like this video points out, it's just a 4/4 loop slowed down with some nice drums over it. Your comparison between guitar playing and beat making doesn't hold up.

  • @npetrie76 Who cares if its difficult to make, it sounds good so why should it matter... This is one of Kanyes mainstreams songs, its not ment to becomplicated, its all about having a catchy beat and chorus .

  • @realunited12321 look man, I like this song, song's don't have to be complicated to be good, you're right. I just don't understand why are commenting relentlessly about anyone that posts something vaguely negative about this song or kanye, especially when it seems you don't have your facts straight? Kayne got started without any exposure? He certainly had enough for Jay-z to notice him and sign him on as a producer.

  • @npetrie76 Jay Z noticed him couse he produced beats for underground rappers that was so good that people like Jay Z got intrested.. If YOU had the talent to produce good beats, you could start producing for small artists, and if the beats are good enough, the big artists will notice after sooner or later.. Its not like Kanye was born famous.

  • @realunited12321 Stop putting words in my mouth I never said that. You're just a trolling fanboy.

  • You're just a guy with no arguments left

  • @realunited12321 we're not even arguing about anything anymore. Isay one thing, you put words in my mouth, even when I agree with you, then I point out that you did so.

  • @realunited12321 its all about marketing and exposure...

  • @hiphoproduction4life Well, Kanyes talent is what made him the star he is today. He started his career with no marketing and exposure

  • @realunited12321 Too much self respect.

  • @realunited12321 You don't understand anything

  • @realunited12321 Because I have dignity?

  • @TheDwabi So keeping that great dignity of yours is much more important than becoming a multimillionaire.....Yeah

  • @realunited12321 Making this entire song is dead simple to anyone even slightly acquainted with electronic music production. If you knew anything about the major music Industry, you'd know it's not about talent or quality anymore, it's about business. KW's Label thought they could make money off this, cuz it was his version of an already successful song. So they cleared the sample and gave him a million bucks to go promote it on air time, THAT's why it was a hit.

  • @McShane139 Blah, answered similar comments earlier... Ok, I'm able to play Metallica's nothing else matters on guitar, its dead simple!! Still I would never been able to write the notes of a masterpiece like that.. The same goes for the stronger beat... If you think that its all about the promotion and nothing about the quality of the music, then please, PLEASE make a beat equally catchy and good with a sample from any successful song you want..

  • @realunited12321 Because they aren't good looking, have tons of cash, and know relatives who know people in the biz like every other pop star

  • EDWIN BIRD - COLA BOTTLE BABY is the original song u NOOBS !!! lol@daft punk, rofl@kanye < he s a tool :D

  • WOW CRAP ARE THOSE AMIGA PAD SAMPLES

  • @iamgreaser haha yea it looked pretty amigaish
