@MrZortaw It's nice to look at nostalgia on a place. Especially when you never had to live under it, and deliberately blind yourself to anything but the good you want to see. Those who DID live under these systems tended to vote with their feet, and fled in their millions.
Whenever I see videos or photos of communist nations, it always amazes me how few people and cars there are outside in the streets and sidewalks. It looks to me as if everyone is either at home hiding and/or afraid to go out. The only time you see a crowd is when there is some pro-government rally or parade.
Just because some Historians say something, with compelling evidence, doesn't make it true.
You can easily watch one of several movies by Alex Jones and he throws compelling evidence after compelling evidence, but it doesn't make it true. Alex Jones makes videos about the evil American government, and he has given tons of evidence that the moon landing didn't happen and 9/11 was done by the US government. Is he right? Probably not, but I doubt every single thing he says is wrong.
@GetToHellOut you don't know much about Russia, do you? Siberia was "important" but it was NOT a place people desired to live. It was isolated, cold during winters, hot and insect-infested during summers... Even in USSR, they had to pay double wages and provide large appartments to entice people to move there. There were some nicer places, particularly in the far west, but generally life wasn't easy there.
@GetToHellOut hah i know Krasnoyarsk! My mother used to go on "komandirovki" there. She said it was really hot during summers and really cold in winters. She said it wasn't too bad but would never trade it for living in Kishinev (where i was born). It used to be a nice place to live.
@onelittlesmile1 True, but the US seems to be overtaking the Brits in Colonialism (Note in most of the former British Colonies, the Native populations are still majorities in their countries except for Australia and Canada). Russia has had madmen, but it's no secret that the NDAA does sound quite totalitarian, not to mention support for israel. Funny that there aren't many Natives left in the US, whereas in Russia, the Chukchis, Yakuts, and Khants are still flourishing.
I was a child in USSR and I was happy. During summers I went to camps on the black sea, during school year I had an olympic-size swimming pool and took 2nd place in a city championship, I had good teachers that helped get through top colleges later on, and I had great friends. We all had same crappy clothes, same ancient electronics, and it was all good because there was nothing to envy because no one had anything of value but we all valued friendships and honesty.
@TheChromelover but lets not forget that to "make everyone equal", they first killed 30 million russians and created a demographic catastrophe that is the reason why Russia is smaller than such countries a bangladesh or nigeria.... And lets remember that while everyone was equal, some were more equal than others :) they had all the western things and laws didn't apply to them. You could have been arrested, put in jail, declared mentally insane and turned into a vegetable just because
@TheChromelover no.. just because...if you were an ordinary citizen, there were simply no laws could protect you if someone in lets say KGB wanted to do something to you.
I agree. If you go against the government, life will be a hell. But as far as the ordinary citizens were concerned, the soviet rule brought order, peace (sometimes by repression), stability and a sense of security (that comes when you know that you won't be on the streets tomorrow). That is why I admire the USSR.
@TheChromelover by "going against the government" you mean mentioning to some friends in a kitchen that the invasion of czechoslovakia in the 60s was wrong... that's what got my uncle expelled from a university and arrested. My grandfather was a history professor, so all KGB officers had to pass his class, so he used some of his connections to get my uncle out of trouble but he had to send him to some town in siberia to avoid attention... .just an example of life in USSR.
That was nothing more than Bureaucracy. The US also has a Bureaucracy, although not as strong and powerful as the Soviet's. What I'm trying to say is, all Bureaucracies are repressive, however without them states cannot function properly.
The US also did similar things to Communists such as Paul Robeson.
There is nothing different about repression in one country compared to another. Let's just forget about the past and worry about the future.
@havee3333333 i don't agree that it is just 'bureauracy'. it was totalitarian system where individuals had few rights and means to express themselves. US never did things similar to USSR, US didn't murder 20 million of its own citizens in less than 20 years. It is ridiculous to try to equate everything in the world call it all "the same". Germany also had a bureaucracy, so now Nazi Germany is the same as US or USSR?
The USSR wasn't Totalitarian, it was Authoritarian. There is a big difference between the two, and seeing that you confuse them shows you know little about it.
I challenge your claim that the Stalin killed 20,000,000, and I lower that number to 600,000 +/- 200,000. I have spoken to several Communists, and they seem to agree on the number.
I don't believe I said that the US and USSR had the same level of Bureaucracy, rather I said that all Bureaucracies are oppressive.
@havee3333333 lol you spoke to "several Communists" and they "agree" with the number? LOL, well that just proves it, doesn't it?
20 million can be challenged since it is hard to verify and attribute. I personally don't know if it were a few million or 60 million, as some claim. From purges under Lenin, to purges under Stalin, artificial famines, forced collectivization/industrialization, forced deportations etc, millions died. Your number is not supported by most historians.
Your correct, my number isn't supported under Cold War-era Western historians, but if you find non-bias historians they agree. Those calculations are horribly incriminating; if you use the same scale as those historians, you could say Reagan killed up to 10 million people worldwide with his policies.
@havee3333333 how do you define a bias? there is a consensus among historians (of any reputable standing) that the officially released USSR record of a few hundred thousand killed (i am assuming you are basing your number on that release) is false. As a matter of fact, after Soviet archieves were opened, even official records for a period of 37-38 indicate that over 400,000 were killed in those two years alone. There are facts that you seem to dispute, which is simply a waste of time.
It is natural that Historians to take up their own National interests. If you look far enough, you can find Historians that say good things about Stalin, however you decide to ignore them because they are unfavorable to a set Orthodoxy you have.
This isn't about me being correct or not, you just hate Stalin and you won't change your mind.
I'm also basing my numbers on the Great Purge, and I don't recognize people killed under Stalin's Bureaucracy as Stalin's fault.
@havee3333333 what national interest? i can quote you both Russian and American historians who all say fairly similar things about his control of the government machinery in Russia and his role in all the purges. I can also source what some of Stalin's inner circle said following his death. There are records, there are news clippings that document such events. There will always be some fringe historians that claim otherwise, then again, there are those beleiving in yeti and chupacabra
Here is an example of something ignorant American Historians blame Stalin for.
In 1932-33, there was a famine in the Ukrainian, Belorussian, and SW Russia. American Historians like to blame Stalin for this, however he had little to nothing to do with it. It was a Bureaucrat named Lazar Kaganovich, and the Ukrainian state recognizes that Kaganovich, and not Stalin, was responsible for it.
However, if you listened to ignorant Historians like Robert Conquest, they'd blame Stalin.
@mrkv39 The USA might not have kill 20 million in 20 years but it did kill native Americans for more than 20 years. It also enslaved and segregated its people from its beginning until late 1960s when the bill of rights pass. We as Americans must recognize that our country is not the best and we need to stop judging others when we did the same thing.
@joser1996ful sure USA (or more accurately british colonists and then USA) killed natives. Russia killed natives and stole their lands just the same. Everything east of Volga became part of Russia only very recently (after discovery of America) and there were natives in all of those lands that are mostly gone now. Same could be said about EVERY SINGLE nation on earth - we all displaced soemone when we took our lands.
@joser1996ful I am an american now, but i was born in USSR. I lived in Europe. I have some perspective. And my view that is of course USA is far from perfect, but there are not many places that offer the same opportunities, stability, and the rule of law that US does offer.
you know, stalin might have been poisoned with his power, abusing the privlages he was given, but he was just human. he loved his country, all though he should have never taken credit for the victory over the nazi reich. it was the red army. stalin did not actually kill any of the inoccent, he was blamed for a lot.
-sigh- My parents are refugees from the Soviet Union. And I grew up knowing that, just like in America, there are problems everywhere. There was not 'equality', not for my people, but here was some things that were better. There is no such thing as pure communism or a utopia. Human nature will never allow such wonderful things. I do admire many things about Soviet culture, but you all need to realize that it ended for a reason and there is no use crying over spilled milk.
@RinaRaizel "There is no such thing as pure communism".I totally agree. Its like trying to apply a poem to structure a society. Its like trying (for example) create a world using only Gandhi's words.Eventually ull borrow parts of other political structures and apply it on urs for the sake of a society progress.Stalin mixed it with fascism and failed.Pure communism cannot exist because humans by nature have the attributes of ego, antagonism, and the wish to be distinctive.
Now if the Communist Dictator(Stalin) actually fed his people and didn't become paranoid the Soviet Union would still remain an all powerful country. I live communism for it's equality and for equal houses(jobs are exception but you get nice stuff on what you choose to do with your share) and not Power hungry dictators. Don't deny but Cuba is the closest thing to actual communism.
@UncleSamProduction True, I've been to Cuba and while things are not perfect and the standard of living is low, you don't have these Mansions surrounded by a million shacks like you have in the rest of the Caribbean. Cuba is relatively good for the common folk, when compared with the people of the rest of the Caribbean(Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Rep., etc) Cuba could have a much higher living standard if the U.S hadn't imposed that commercial blockade on Cuba.
In fact, not all Russian people is communists or just respect communism. Communists used to their lifestyle (or just goverment form) or has been suffered from Stockholm syndrome.
I think that better way is live in chargable freedom than free of charge communism/dictatorship/totalitarianism.
@DeejaySmitt oh? Germans and Russians were sick- you mean the soldiers were sick. How do you know what goes through the mind of a military-influenced pawn when he is sent to war? Which leads to the question- do you think Americans were any better when the USA experimented on Japan with the atomic war? Or were the Japanese any better? Or, was China any better when it knowingly tortured prisoners in labs in the 20th century? Think some more, you can't blame race. Blame the humans in power.
@SMGJohn i respect your opinion on which type of government you think is best but like John F. kennedy once said, "we have never had to put a wall up to keep our people in; to prevent them from leaving us"
Looks like a suicide inducing atmosphere of extreme boredom and dull culture. Not to mention the slew of military vehicles and people's papers being checked on the street by police in some photos. Idyllic my ass.
@misterboeing757 Your American and Western brainwashing is showing. This was not a bad culture at all, rather a manufactured "authoritarian regime" by Western powers. Ask yourself why. To protect capitalism, at all costs, which is an inherently evil and pillaging system.
@misterboeing757 Yes, peace. Believe it or not, it was involved in less wars than the US and didn't require a black movement, national protest or people to die on its behalf. And people died under the rule of Stalin during the '40s and '50s. This is 1970 under a completely different government who weren't authoritarian per se.
People are also executed for showing their opinion against the USA (Guantanamo Bay and Abu Gharib Prison).
@MrSovetski Wrong! No one is executed for their opinion against the U.S. No one was executed at club Gitmo, or Abu Graihb. Commie moron. Go sell your lies somewhere else.
Perhaps the seventies weren't known for such obscene excesses (read: liquidations), ala Mr. Stalin. Too bad they couldn't produce consumer goods in sufficient numbers. The ability for a person to consume, given a pocket full of rubles, should be a right. The country couldn't make enough, from toasters to transistor sets, and they couldn't buy things from abroad either (Forex? Hah!). Never mind the samizdat and the desperate lust for Levis and rock 'n roll...
@MrSovetski You're a moron! 65,000,000 people who died in the Russian gulags would strongly disagree with you sir. The soviets have been documented as a foul bunch of animals who committed mass rapes such as the siege of budapest some 40,000 civilians were killed and an estimated 50,000 women were raped. How about the fall of berlin during World War II when historians put the estimates of german women raped by soviets close to 2,000,000.
@DeejaySmitt And did any such events take part during the time period of this video or were they due to the idiocy of Josef Stalin around 30-40 years prior to this?
@DeejaySmitt Some Historians put the number of people killed in Iraq to 1mln an Iraq did not kill 30 mln of American citizens like Germany did with USSR citizens.
Some Historians... What prove have they got? What numbers for women raped by Americans did they give?
@DeejaySmitt I find it amusing that you believe "soviets" committed rape everywhere, as the Nazi propaganda first began to state, and then later even Germany's historians admitted that over 65mil Russian people died over the time being, but not in some gulags alone. That's wrong- they died fighting for a tyrant named Stalin, they died fighting to protect their family, and they died because they knew they would die not fighting for the Soviet regime. You sir, sound truly foul and heartless.
@DeejaySmitt Also, how many Russian women were raped by German soldiers in the war? I recall that regardless of Russian or German, a soldier's actions become limitless because he carries the will of war, and anger does take over the intellect of many. So you can't just go blaming one side because of a narrow-minded speculation on your behalf.
@RussianStarchild Germans and Russians were sick theres no denying that. There is absolutely no excuse for harming civilian women in such a vile and repulsive manner. Just because the Germans did it does not make it okay.
@MrSovetski Yes of course, and soviet troops all around Central Europe, were just on holiday...I do not care what kind of polity is in Russia. If you need tsar (Michail, Josiph or Vladimir...), you have it, but for future...please...stay in borders of Russia.
@MrLasicak Other than one of the greatest wars ever seen by mankind taking place and most of Central-Eastern Europe turning towards socialism, I really couldn't barter for any other reason why there might be, as you claim, troops "around Central Europe." In fact, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, East Germany, Belarus and Ukraine all opted into the USSR. These borders belong to them!
The Tsar died with rock and roll back in the October Revolution, my friend. Now there's a different power...
@MrSovetski Poland was never part of the USSR, and they damn sure didn't choose a Communist government. The 1946 referendum was the outright theft of a country. They probably would have legitimately voted yes in the referendum if it wasn't for all the agitators, or as we call them, the majority of the citizenry. Rinse, lather, repeat, and you've got communist governments in all of the CEE countries.
@xevnoc don't forget what you had right before USSR - german occupation. USSR did a nasty thing by making a pact with hilter and killing your officers but it was still better than serving as slave labor for the "master race" and the west did nothing for you.
@MrSovetski "People are also executed for showing their opinion against the USA (Guantanamo Bay and Abu Gharib Prison)."
Really? You think those prisons are filled with people who 'showed their opinion' about the USA? If you seriously think that's true, I feel sorry for you.
fuck the soviets,, bunch of paranoid bastards that couldn't man up and fight the americans face to face but had little countries , poor countries fight in covert wars... God damned you Soviets and americans are next ... God will damn the american empire and yet again a lesson will be learned.. Don't oppress people and Don't kill innocent people for ur worldly views and gains.. Afghanistan will drain the american economy to bankruptcy , we just don't know how hollow the american economy is.
An account of a Russian woman I once met of life in the Soviet Union:
"We go shopping once a week. We have to take train six hours. Then we stand in line for long time to see what we want. Then we stand in other line for long time to get ticket to buy what we want. Then we stand in other line to buy what we want but maybe it already sold." She also spoke of how she had to practice her religion in secret.
"He who does no work, also shall not eat". the USSR did turn into a welfare state, because they did not follow one of the founding principles for socialism: paying the WORKERS not the SLACKERS.
The soviet union collapses because his federalism was held up only "manu militari" by Russia, there wasn't never a soviet Motherland. This was a great loss for the whole world, because even the Western capitalist states were offering services in direct competition with the Soviet Union, to avert possible revolutions. Now the states in Europe reform not to improve services but only to reduce costs.
now did you think that ppl watch this video and love america ? for what ? you drink the blood of rest of the world, you invade everywhere you want, you don't even have a health system. capitalism kills.
Lol, full of fail... How old are you? People like you sit on their fat ass and wait for handouts, and complain about every injustice. Life isnt and shouldnt be fair, people need to be independant from their govt, thats why there is so many rich and empowered people here in Canada and the US. Command economies do not work anywhere close to as well as Free Market economies, not saying the US is a small govt place, or completely free market anymore..
@TomJackson986 I'm a communist and I work my ass off. I don't need welfare, the workers are supposed to own the means of production, and as a worker, I own my workshop
@somedudeinva actually, no. I don't support the capitalist economy but i am using it to make a living for now. I will take part in the revolution and will continue to work afterwards.
I really dont give a sshit how I refer to you. It doesnt matter what American invention it is you will deny it was American and twist my worlds and facts too make yourself feel better about your anti American/capitalist cause. I dont even want to begin to think where human civilization would be without American innovation. I enjoy the internet, youtube and my American sports car which I work my ass off for... no need for government here... i know you want to be led and managed its ok.
@TomJackson986 Also I could fit a diesel engine in a dildo. But does that mean I invented a new item? No, I simply just improved it. But I really don't give a damn about American patents because they just are interrested in money
Theres four pages dedicated to USA inventions, and there isnt one country that compares John, there isnt one! I know you love communism but you risk putting human civilization into the stone age with systems like that unless you have an economically and socially free nation to rip your ideas off from. Now I know you were referencing Adolf Hitler, and please dont compare him with communists. Communists make Hitler and the Nazis look like hero's. Its a completely different ideology.
@TomJackson986 Please put [@SMGJohn] if you want to replay me not some random nutt comment and suddenly you write my name in it like it was refering to me
@SMGJohn and I'm not even from the states.... ive never seen anyone in so much denial that they lie. Everything invention I stated were all American patents under the page Timeline of American Inventions.. you tryed twisting everyone of them like saying the sovs made a plasma display, i said television, when I said washing machine i mean the ones that use electricity and spin, the common mousetrap came from the states. when i said air conditioning im saying window mounted air conditioners
@TomJackson986 Your obvously full of allot of fail... Srsly you sadden me because you fail so hard....
Those are not even inventions but improvements. Sure if I improve TVs to become a hologram I just improved an old Soviet technology experiment. Yes Soviet Union actually made a hologram device projecting REAL 3D images. Of course this was military equipment and never went into civil use and was later scrapped as a project.
I said Plasma TELEVISION, the ones you can watch your digital cable on (I dont care about some orange glowing peice of shit), Coca Cola in General made Fanta Cola and they still do today accept its available world wide (In Canada its cheap pop, like 75 cents a 2l bottle).. And yes I said Carbon fibre, it was invented by the American company Coca Cola. (The company gets the credit)
@TomJackson986 Erm the Z3 was considered the first computer because it was the first computer to actually compute. It was created by a German in Nazi Germany.
@SMGJohn The punchcard system which is credited for being the first computer was made by IBM, I cant reference links because it wont let me post it. So go to google and type Fanta soda, and click on the first Wikipedia link and then read COCA COLA COMPANY, it was a way for Coke to make money in Germany. Okay, and type on Google where was Carbon Fibre invented, and it will say Cleveland Ohio, and then type Plasma Tv first one was made in the 80s by IBM
@TomJackson986 Actually Donald Bitzer, H. Gene Slottow, and graduate student Robert Willson invented the first Plasma displayer which only had Orange glow and no colour. THE FIRST Plasma "TV" was made by Fujitsu a JAPANESE company. It was full colour released in 1992
And Fanta was created by Coca Cola Germany because they didn't have enough ingridence to make Cola so they made Fanta instead. And according to this Japanese site it was Japan who invented fiber.
@TomJackson986 And if your going to speak of the first "computer" then we must go all the way back to 1700s where a French guy invented a computer that was computing but it didn't use electricity it was mechanical. Just like the first TV invented in Britain
I have proof that IBM created the first plasma television, the LCD television was created by WESTINGHOUSE an American company, Carbon Fibre was invented in Cleveland Ohio, the Lightbulb was invented by Thomas Edison (An American), Fanta was created by COCA COLA, do RESEARCH that took me 2 minutes to look up... you moron.
I could care less if the Russians went back to communism. I dont care if any country goes to communism, its absolutely fine if a country is communist, but it should be by will of the people. I dont really believe communism is a good idea, because I want to be able to break free and become something better. I apologize for getting angry with you sir.
@TomJackson986 Well my comment describes how Russia was better off with Communism then Capitalism as you can see today it is more corrupted then Africa.... And even more people are starving and dying then what it did under Communism.
I understand your a greedy communist who wants the government to care for your every needs, and you want everyone to have true communism. Im just someone who wants people to be empowered and have economic and political freedom! I want people who innovate and create things to make money, I want businesses to make money so they can hire new people. I dont exactly want everything to be fair.. Im sorry.
We dont have to be mad at eachother, we just differ.
@TomJackson986 Sure, your fat greedy Capitalist. I'm equal and share my wealth and a pro Communist.
The world can't be fully Communistic because that increases corruption but instead the world can be half Communistic and half Capitalistic which decreases corruption levels
@SMGJohn If you're equal and share your wealth then how can you have a computer and broadband? There's billions of people who don't have those things. That isn't equality, so are you a liar or just ignorant?
@IrishLibertyLover You don't need 50 billion dollars do you? Look what is happening in the world. The Capitalist economy is collapsing because all the fat Capitalists takes the money and don't share it and makes the poor people just become greater and greater to in the end everybody can't work because they don't get paid enough. Everything just collapses and in the end the Capitalists are killed or worse
@SMGJohn No I don't need 50 billion dollars. I would like 50 billion dollars for all the good I could do with it. If I lived in a socialist state I wouldn't be allowed do those things though. The economy is collapsing because of government intervention and central banks having artificially low interest rates. People can't work because governments won't allow businesses create jobs.
@IrishLibertyLover Ha, what a joke you are. Capitalism is collapsing, government can't intervene in Capitalist economy because the economy runs itself. It's suppose to be self sufficent for a time being until it collaps.
In a Socialist society people like you would be thrown out because they don't need retarded people that only think of themself.
I gave you the explanation for why the global recession occurred. An explanation endorsed by many professional economists. You on the other hand offered your opinion based on nothing but your on prejudices.
@IrishLibertyLover Oh really? Capitalism is collapsing because it simply can't function over long period. You just can't face it because your a greedy Capitalist...
@SMGJohn It's been functioning for over 200 years. It's been more stable in the last 30 years as nearly every single economy on the planet became more capitalist. Communism on the other hand lasted 70 years in Russia and around 20 years in China. The evidence would suggest that it is communism can't function over a long period of time.
@IrishLibertyLover It's funny how Capitalism barely existed 100 years ago. Anyway, Capitalism might be good at the beginning and then it sucks the money out of everyones pocket until there is only one man/woman with all the money. And that's how it works, Communism have never been used so your theory is false. However Soviet Union collapsed duo to a Right Wing Military coup. And Socialism seems to be the only economy to be stable and actually work right for everyone, China is another story
The airplane, the lcd tv, the plasma tv, glass, carbon fibre, lightbulbs, Fanta Soda was made by Pepsi or COke I cant remember, IBM created the first computer (American companies by the way) You must be a dumbass.
@TomJackson986 Airplanes are from Europe... The plasma TVs are from Soviet Union, LCD are from Japan. Carbon Fibre does not have a inventor.... Lightbulbs are from Britain. Fanta is from Nazi Germany. First electronical computer from Nazi Germany.
@SMGJohn Airplanes are not from Europe, the first one was invented by the Wright brothers in the 1900's, , Lightbulbs were created by Thomas Edison (An American)... other things Americans invented, the Stop Sign, Smoke Detector, Zippers, Dimmer Switch, Tractor, Radio, Mousetrap, VolleyBall, Remote control, air conditioning, windsheild wipers, washing machine, fast food restaurant, light switch, these are all via /wiki/Timeline_of_United_States_inventions_(1890%E2%80%931945)
@TomJackson986 LOL the first airplanes are from Europe... Wright brothers are just famous for have made a airplane capable to fly a long distance. Altrough we are just speaking of a few meters and barely a kilometer.
The Lightbulb was first invented by a German. The stop sign have been around for thousands of years so I don't see your silly point... Smoke detector?? Actually a Swede invented the zipper. Dimmers have been made so many places it was unknown who actually invented them.... ---
@TomJackson986 But an American company made the first stable dimmer that didn't cause fires. A switch came from Europe. The first tractor was made by A French General. The first fosil fuel powered tractor was made by Soviet Union. Radio came from Europe, Mousetrap ALSO came from Europe. Volleyball I don't give a DAMN! An American recieved patent for the first remote controller. Actually the Chinese was first to invent air conditioning already in the 2nd century..
@TomJackson986 Windshield wipers have been patended by a American in 1903 and a British in 1903.
Washing machines have been around since God knows when. The earliest found example is some ancient washing machine from China. It's believed it was used around 400AD. Fast Food Resturant is not so important and I gladly label USA for it! Light Switch goes under switch catogery.
@TomJackson986 Since you barely know history. USA have barely invented 5% of the worlds daily using stuff. While China tops almost 15% and Europe are responsible for 40% and then rest of the world. USA haven't been around for long. It was a tiny country in 1800th and beginning of 1900th. Only true World War One they became a super power with help of their industry they was able to sell arms during WWI and earned themself some cash.
@TomJackson986 USA might be big and powerful which make them seem like they invented everything, but they didn't. Mostly everything USA "Claims" to create is from Europe. Without Europe there would be no America. So you be grateful you even exists.
@SMGJohn Shut up, I dont care how I refer to you. You are making claims that things that were invented in the USA were made in Europe and you know your wrong. Everything I said I got off of the Wikipedia page of American inventions, if they were patented and created in America than thats were its from. The first airplanes were created by an AMERICAN you fucking moron. I know your from Hong Kong or something ridiculous, and Im sure your very uneducated. But I dont really care what..
@TomJackson986 I also was on Wikipedia just to check your claims. But most of them are false. But since you are American you don't know that there is other nations too and that the earth is a circle and not flat like you believe. I pity you poor American fool. I will let you live in your dreamy world
@TomJackson986 Communism should be over the whole world or at least half of it so that the other one that doesn't want Communism can walk over to the other side and have Capitalism and kill each other like they do now but they do it on their side instead.
I would have an AMAAZING idea in the soviet union and I would have to die keeping it a secret because I wouldnt want my evil government that doesnt even let me leave (trust me I know an exodus of Russian people here in Ontario theres probably a million of them) I havent heard one that praises communism. These people mostly own businesses and are successful.. They would steal my idea regardless, and I wouldnt be rewarded for it other than maybe my picture on a wall.
@TomJackson986 Your a true Capitalistc greedy pro American. Science exists to make people happy if your going to keep a invention that might save thousands and if I where dictator I send KGB after you and steal it for SURE! Sure I write your name on it and put a picture of you on the wall and maybe give you one million dollar for it. But that's about it. Do you really expect medal of Honor? Since you didn't want to share it you don't get medal of honor.
@TomJackson986: Here in San Francisco we also have plenty of Russian immigrants. I have yet to meet one who isn't a rude, vulgar, noisy, greedy and arrogant lardass. They make Amerikan Kapitalist pigs look like friendly adorable piglets.
@TomJackson986 You don't want FREE HEALTH CARE!? WTF... Your defenitly a troll...
I don't want to pay all my cash just because I unluckely got hit by a fucking ass hole car. I want to be operated and taken care of for free!
Now for my part I hope you get hit by a airplane and you end up not having not enough cash to be operated in the end you will just be left out and die painfully while you which you lived in a Socialist nation.
@SMGJohn Why would he want would free health care when he could get good healthcare? Also if he got hit by an airplane, it would take more than an operation to save him.
Your a fucking IDIOT. There is a reason why America has invented 90% of the things on the planet! There a reason! Its called free markets, capitalism, competition, freedom, and you can dumb it down all you want you lazy ass communist. Whenever I see videos or photos of communist nations, it always amazes me how few people and cars there are outside in the streets and sidewalks. It looks to me as if everyone is either at home hiding and/or afraid to go out. The only time you see a crowd is when there is some pro-government rally or parade.
Noman0127 1 month ago
@mrk

In Soviet Union Syberia was most important territory, there was most of military plants.
You just an propagand idiot, goodbye.
GetToHellOut 1 month ago
@GetToHellOut you don't know much about Russia, do you? Siberia was "important" but it was NOT a place people desired to live. It was isolated, cold during winters, hot and insect-infested during summers... Even in USSR, they had to pay double wages and provide large appartments to entice people to move there. There were some nicer places, particularly in the far west, but generally life wasn't easy there.
mrkv39 1 month ago
@mrkv39 sure i dont know, im just lived here, in Krasnoyarsk, the town in syberia.

We all had same crappy clothes, same ancient electronics, and it was all good because there was nothing to envy because no one had anything of value but we all valued friendships and honesty.
mrkv39 2 months ago
@mrkv39
That is precisely the objective of a soviet society - everyone to be equal and to have no reason to envy your neighbour.
TheChromelover 1 month ago
@TheChromelover but lets not forget that to "make everyone equal", they first killed 30 million russians and created a demographic catastrophe that is the reason why Russia is smaller than such countries a bangladesh or nigeria.... And lets remember that while everyone was equal, some were more equal than others :) they had all the western things and laws didn't apply to them. You could have been arrested, put in jail, declared mentally insane and turned into a vegetable just because

@mrkv39
Just because........????? Can you please complete your comment. I think you must have crossed the word limit for comments.
TheChromelover 1 month ago
@TheChromelover no.. just because...if you were an ordinary citizen, there were simply no laws could protect you if someone in lets say KGB wanted to do something to you.
mrkv39 1 month ago
@mrkv39
I agree. If you go against the government, life will be a hell. But as far as the ordinary citizens were concerned, the soviet rule brought order, peace (sometimes by repression), stability and a sense of security (that comes when you know that you won't be on the streets tomorrow). That is why I admire the USSR.
TheChromelover 1 month ago
@TheChromelover by "going against the government" you mean mentioning to some friends in a kitchen that the invasion of czechoslovakia in the 60s was wrong... that's what got my uncle expelled from a university and arrested. My grandfather was a history professor, so all KGB officers had to pass his class, so he used some of his connections to get my uncle out of trouble but he had to send him to some town in siberia to avoid attention... .just an example of life in USSR.
mrkv39 1 month ago
@mrkv39
Let's just forget about the past and worry about the future.
havee3333333 1 month ago
@havee3333333 i don't agree that it is just 'bureauracy'. it was totalitarian system where individuals had few rights and means to express themselves. US never did things similar to USSR, US didn't murder 20 million of its own citizens in less than 20 years. It is ridiculous to try to equate everything in the world call it all "the same". Germany also had a bureaucracy, so now Nazi Germany is the same as US or USSR?
mrkv39 1 month ago
@mr
I don't believe I said that the US and USSR had the same level of Bureaucracy, rather I said that all Bureaucracies are oppressive.
havee3333333 1 month ago
@havee3333333 lol you spoke to "several Communists" and they "agree" with the number? LOL, well that just proves it, doesn't it?
20 million can be challenged since it is hard to verify and attribute. I personally don't know if it were a few million or 60 million, as some claim. From purges under Lenin, to purges under Stalin, artificial famines, forced collectivization/industrialization, forced deportations etc, millions died. Your number is not supported by most historians.
mrkv39 1 month ago
@mrkv39
I sent you a message with all the information.
Your correct, my number isn't supported under Cold War-era Western historians, but if you find non-bias historians they agree. Those calculations are horribly incriminating; if you use the same scale as those historians, you could say Reagan killed up to 10 million people worldwide with his policies.
havee3333333 1 month ago
@havee3333333 how do you define a bias? there is a consensus among historians (of any reputable standing) that the officially released USSR record of a few hundred thousand killed (i am assuming you are basing your number on that release) is false. As a matter of fact, after Soviet archieves were opened, even official records for a period of 37-38 indicate that over 400,000 were killed in those two years alone. There are facts that you seem to dispute, which is simply a waste of time.
mrkv39 1 month ago
@mrkv39
I'm also basing my numbers on the Great Purge, and I don't recognize people killed under Stalin's Bureaucracy as Stalin's fault.
havee3333333 1 month ago
@havee3333333 what national interest? i can quote you both Russian and American historians who all say fairly similar things about his control of the government machinery in Russia and his role in all the purges. I can also source what some of Stalin's inner circle said following his death. There are records, there are news clippings that document such events. There will always be some fringe historians that claim otherwise, then again, there are those beleiving in yeti and chupacabra
mrkv39 1 month ago
@mrkv39
However, if you listened to ignorant Historians like Robert Conquest, they'd blame Stalin.
havee3333333 1 month ago
@mrkv39 The USA might not have kill 20 million in 20 years but it did kill native Americans for more than 20 years. It also enslaved and segregated its people from its beginning until late 1960s when the bill of rights pass. We as Americans must recognize that our country is not the best and we need to stop judging others when we did the same thing.
joser1996ful 1 month ago
@joser1996ful sure USA (or more accurately british colonists and then USA) killed natives. Russia killed natives and stole their lands just the same. Everything east of Volga became part of Russia only very recently (after discovery of America) and there were natives in all of those lands that are mostly gone now. Same could be said about EVERY SINGLE nation on earth - we all displaced soemone when we took our lands.
mrkv39 1 month ago
@joser1996ful I am an american now, but i was born in USSR. I lived in Europe. I have some perspective. And my view that is of course USA is far from perfect, but there are not many places that offer the same opportunities, stability, and the rule of law that US does offer.

RinaRaizel 2 months ago

Manimal347 8 months ago
@MrSovetski You're a moron! 65,000,000 people who died in the Russian gulags would strongly disagree with you sir. The soviets have been documented as a foul bunch of animals who committed mass rapes such as the siege of budapest some 40,000 civilians were killed and an estimated 50,000 women were raped. How about the fall of berlin during World War II when historians put the estimates of german women raped by soviets close to 2,000,000.
DeejaySmitt 6 months ago
@DeejaySmitt And did any such events take part during the time period of this video or were they due to the idiocy of Josef Stalin around 30-40 years prior to this?

TheMiroNos 6 months ago
@DeejaySmitt Some Historians put the number of people killed in Iraq to 1mln an Iraq did not kill 30 mln of American citizens like Germany did with USSR citizens.
Some Historians... What prove have they got? What numbers for women raped by Americans did they give?
TheMiroNos 6 months ago
@DeejaySmitt I find it amusing that you believe "soviets" committed rape everywhere, as the Nazi propaganda first began to state, and then later even Germany's historians admitted that over 65mil Russian people died over the time being, but not in some gulags alone. That's wrong- they died fighting for a tyrant named Stalin, they died fighting to protect their family, and they died because they knew they would die not fighting for the Soviet regime. You sir, sound truly foul and heartless.
RussianStarchild 5 months ago
@DeejaySmitt Also, how many Russian women were raped by German soldiers in the war? I recall that regardless of Russian or German, a soldier's actions become limitless because he carries the will of war, and anger does take over the intellect of many. So you can't just go blaming one side because of a narrow-minded speculation on your behalf.
RussianStarchild 5 months ago
@RussianStarchild Germans and Russians were sick theres no denying that. There is absolutely no excuse for harming civilian women in such a vile and repulsive manner. Just because the Germans did it does not make it okay.

@MrLasicak Other than one of the greatest wars ever seen by mankind taking place and most of Central-Eastern Europe turning towards socialism, I really couldn't barter for any other reason why there might be, as you claim, troops "around Central Europe." The soviet union collapses because his federalism was held up only "manu militari" by Russia, there wasn't never a soviet Motherland. This was a great loss for the whole world, because even the Western capitalist states were offering services in direct competition with the Soviet Union, to avert possible revolutions. ... IBM created the first computer for Nazi Germany.. The punch card system.
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Erm the Z3 was considered the first computer because it was the first computer to actually compute. It was created by a German in Nazi Germany.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@SMGJohn The punchcard system which is credited for being the first computer was made by IBM, I cant reference links because it wont let me post it. So go to google and type Fanta soda, and click on the first Wikipedia link and then read COCA COLA COMPANY, it was a way for Coke to make money in Germany. Okay, and type on Google where was Carbon Fibre invented, and it will say Cleveland Ohio, and then type Plasma Tv first one was made in the 80s by IBM
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Actually Donald Bitzer, H. Gene Slottow, and graduate student Robert Willson invented the first Plasma displayer which only had Orange glow and no colour. THE FIRST Plasma "TV" was made by Fujitsu a JAPANESE company. It was full colour released in 1992
And Fanta was created by Coca Cola Germany because they didn't have enough ingridence to make Cola so they made Fanta instead. And according to this Japanese site it was Japan who invented fiber.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 And if your going to speak of the first "computer" then we must go all the way back to 1700s where a French guy invented a computer that was computing but it didn't use electricity it was mechanical. Just like the first TV invented in Britain
SMGJohn 11 months ago
I have proof that IBM created the first plasma television, the LCD television was created by WESTINGHOUSE an American company, Carbon Fibre was invented in Cleveland Ohio, the Lightbulb was invented by Thomas Edison (An American), Fanta was created by COCA COLA, do RESEARCH that took me 2 minutes to look up... you moron.
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Please tell me your source of this claims you make
SMGJohn 11 months ago
I could care less if the Russians went back to communism. I dont care if any country goes to communism, its absolutely fine if a country is communist, but it should be by will of the people. I dont really believe communism is a good idea, because I want to be able to break free and become something better. I apologize for getting angry with you sir.
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Well my comment describes how Russia was better off with Communism then Capitalism as you can see today it is more corrupted then Africa.... And even more people are starving and dying then what it did under Communism.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
I understand your a greedy communist who wants the government to care for your every needs, and you want everyone to have true communism. Im just someone who wants people to be empowered and have economic and political freedom! I want people who innovate and create things to make money, I want businesses to make money so they can hire new people. I dont exactly want everything to be fair.. Im sorry.
We dont have to be mad at eachother, we just differ.
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Sure, your fat greedy Capitalist. I'm equal and share my wealth and a pro Communist.
The world can't be fully Communistic because that increases corruption but instead the world can be half Communistic and half Capitalistic which decreases corruption levels
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@SMGJohn You can clearly do better than that can you ... Why would you just lie about like 5 different inventions
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Lie about 5 different inventions? Please entertain me. How did I lie about this "inventions" ?!
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@SMGJohn If you're equal and share your wealth then how can you have a computer and broadband? There's billions of people who don't have those things. That isn't equality, so are you a liar or just ignorant?
IrishLibertyLover 6 months ago
@IrishLibertyLover You don't need 50 billion dollars do you? Look what is happening in the world. The Capitalist economy is collapsing because all the fat Capitalists takes the money and don't share it and makes the poor people just become greater and greater to in the end everybody can't work because they don't get paid enough. Everything just collapses and in the end the Capitalists are killed or worse
SMGJohn 6 months ago
@SMGJohn No I don't need 50 billion dollars. I would like 50 billion dollars for all the good I could do with it. If I lived in a socialist state I wouldn't be allowed do those things though. The economy is collapsing because of government intervention and central banks having artificially low interest rates. People can't work because governments won't allow businesses create jobs.
IrishLibertyLover 6 months ago
@IrishLibertyLover Ha, what a joke you are. Capitalism is collapsing, government can't intervene in Capitalist economy because the economy runs itself. It's suppose to be self sufficent for a time being until it collaps.
In a Socialist society people like you would be thrown out because they don't need retarded people that only think of themself.
SMGJohn 6 months ago
@SMGJohn How is capitalism collapsing? I've just told you why the economy is doing badly, are you even going to try prove me wrong?
I don't care only about myself, I give plenty of money to charities. Going by your argument skills, I am quite a bit more intelligent than you.
IrishLibertyLover 6 months ago
@IrishLibertyLover money to charities? That goes into the pockets of richer people. Well good job....
What you explained to me? Or did you tell me your opinion? I think it was the second one
SMGJohn 6 months ago
@SMGJohn How does that money go to richer people?
I gave you the explanation for why the global recession occurred. An explanation endorsed by many professional economists. You on the other hand offered your opinion based on nothing but your on prejudices.
IrishLibertyLover 6 months ago
@IrishLibertyLover Oh really? Capitalism is collapsing because it simply can't function over long period. You just can't face it because your a greedy Capitalist...
SMGJohn 6 months ago
@SMGJohn It's been functioning for over 200 years. It's been more stable in the last 30 years as nearly every single economy on the planet became more capitalist. Communism on the other hand lasted 70 years in Russia and around 20 years in China. The evidence would suggest that it is communism can't function over a long period of time.
IrishLibertyLover 6 months ago

TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Airplanes are from Europe... The plasma TVs are from Soviet Union, LCD are from Japan. Carbon Fibre does not have a inventor.... Lightbulbs are from Britain. Fanta is from Nazi Germany. First electronical computer from Nazi Germany.
If you bothered research this you find out
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@SMGJohn Airplanes are not from Europe, the first one was invented by the Wright brothers in the 1900's, , Lightbulbs were created by Thomas Edison (An American)... other things Americans invented, the Stop Sign, Smoke Detector, Zippers, Dimmer Switch, Tractor, Radio, Mousetrap, VolleyBall, Remote control, air conditioning, windsheild wipers, washing machine, fast food restaurant, light switch, these are all via /wiki/Timeline_of_United_States_inventions_(1890%E2%80%931945)
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 LOL the first airplanes are from Europe... Wright brothers are just famous for have made a airplane capable to fly a long distance. Altrough we are just speaking of a few meters and barely a kilometer.
The Lightbulb was first invented by a German. The stop sign have been around for thousands of years so I don't see your silly point... Smoke detector?? Actually a Swede invented the zipper. Dimmers have been made so many places it was unknown who actually invented them.... ---
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 But an American company made the first stable dimmer that didn't cause fires. A switch came from Europe. The first tractor was made by A French General. The first fosil fuel powered tractor was made by Soviet Union. Radio came from Europe, Mousetrap ALSO came from Europe. Volleyball I don't give a DAMN! An American recieved patent for the first remote controller. Actually the Chinese was first to invent air conditioning already in the 2nd century..
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Windshield wipers have been patended by a American in 1903 and a British in 1903.
Washing machines have been around since God knows when. The earliest found example is some ancient washing machine from China. It's believed it was used around 400AD. Fast Food Resturant is not so important and I gladly label USA for it! Light Switch goes under switch catogery.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@SMGJohn The Romans actually had "Fast food" as did Indians.
SepherStar 10 months ago
@SepherStar Fast food is food that can be prepared in a instant. Like noodles are also Fast Food in Asia and has been since it was first created.
SMGJohn 10 months ago
@TomJackson986 Since you barely know history. USA have barely invented 5% of the worlds daily using stuff. While China tops almost 15% and Europe are responsible for 40% and then rest of the world. USA haven't been around for long. It was a tiny country in 1800th and beginning of 1900th. Only true World War One they became a super power with help of their industry they was able to sell arms during WWI and earned themself some cash.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 USA might be big and powerful which make them seem like they invented everything, but they didn't. Mostly everything USA "Claims" to create is from Europe. Without Europe there would be no America. So you be grateful you even exists.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@SMGJohn Shut up, I dont care how I refer to you. You are making claims that things that were invented in the USA were made in Europe and you know your wrong. Everything I said I got off of the Wikipedia page of American inventions, if they were patented and created in America than thats were its from. The first airplanes were created by an AMERICAN you fucking moron. I know your from Hong Kong or something ridiculous, and Im sure your very uneducated. But I dont really care what..
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 I also was on Wikipedia just to check your claims. But most of them are false. But since you are American you don't know that there is other nations too and that the earth is a circle and not flat like you believe. I pity you poor American fool. I will let you live in your dreamy world

And tell me what inventions you think the site lied about. You can also call up the site via Google : American Invention Timeline
And look up another country like Germany, Italy or Russia and check out what they invented.
TomJackson986 11 months ago
I dont think you have a case here.. Where exactly do you want communism SMGJohn
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Communism should be over the whole world or at least half of it so that the other one that doesn't want Communism can walk over to the other side and have Capitalism and kill each other like they do now but they do it on their side instead.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
I would have an AMAAZING idea in the soviet union and I would have to die keeping it a secret because I wouldnt want my evil government that doesnt even let me leave (trust me I know an exodus of Russian people here in Ontario theres probably a million of them) I havent heard one that praises communism. These people mostly own businesses and are successful.. They would steal my idea regardless, and I wouldnt be rewarded for it other than maybe my picture on a wall.
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 Your a true Capitalistc greedy pro American. Science exists to make people happy if your going to keep a invention that might save thousands and if I where dictator I send KGB after you and steal it for SURE! Sure I write your name on it and put a picture of you on the wall and maybe give you one million dollar for it. But that's about it. Do you really expect medal of Honor? Since you didn't want to share it you don't get medal of honor.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@TomJackson986: Here in San Francisco we also have plenty of Russian immigrants. I have yet to meet one who isn't a rude, vulgar, noisy, greedy and arrogant lardass. They make Amerikan Kapitalist pigs look like friendly adorable piglets.

You want the government to do everything for you...
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 What does government do everything for you have to do with this conversation!?
SMGJohn 11 months ago
I dont want all that stuff for free, you entitle yourself! People need to be empowered not the government!
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 You don't want FREE HEALTH CARE!? WTF... Your defenitly a troll...
I don't want to pay all my cash just because I unluckely got hit by a fucking ass hole car. I want to be operated and taken care of for free!
Now for my part I hope you get hit by a airplane and you end up not having not enough cash to be operated in the end you will just be left out and die painfully while you which you lived in a Socialist nation.
SMGJohn 11 months ago
@SMGJohn Why would he want would free health care when he could get good healthcare? Also if he got hit by an airplane, it would take more than an operation to save him.
IrishLibertyLover 6 months ago
@IrishLibertyLover LOL, of course you can just go live in a hole somewhere poor and work to death and have expensive health care.
Well people like me can get free health care and education and work a well paid job or at least HAVE a job at all.
SMGJohn 6 months ago
Your a fucking IDIOT. There is a reason why America has invented 90% of the things on the planet! There a reason! Its called free markets, capitalism, competition, freedom, and you can dumb it down all you want you lazy ass communist. You think that you should make the same as everyone else, get off your ass and get a job! Honestly what the hell is wrong with people!!
TomJackson986 11 months ago
@TomJackson986 I think you must be braindead... America have barely invented 5% of all the things in this world you wakker. I think your a big fatt troll... No fucking sorry human fucking being would believe something like "USA Invented 90% of everything" You do realize that there is allot of stuff we are talking about? Guess who invented the electronical computer... Yes maybe you guessed right. Nazi Germany. Guess who made Fanta soda. Nazi Germany, guess who made the first jet engines, Germans
