@shoji86. I was in a metal band as well with another guy using a triple recto he could never keep up. The triple gets buried in the mix while my mkII cut right through
@eveguitars Someone has never played a Recto! ;) They sound great if they're set up right. They're tweakers amps that take a lot of time to get a good sound of. Not saying it's better than a Triamp though. :P
@rjg7000 Had three an gigged with them. Two Duals and one Triple. They can sound good recorded but find them really fuzzy and grainy, put them directly up against a 5150 or jcm 800 and they just get lost
I've had my TriAmp for 6 years now. I've owned so many Marshall's, boogies, bogners. This amp is simply amazing. It's a part of me and I will never part with it. It's pricey as hell but worth every single penny. The greatest amp ever
I love Blug's playing it has a simple melodic vibe with nice bursts of speed and you can hear HEART in every note. My all time player is Neal Schon a very under rated guy.
@PetrucciLifeson12 Well it depends which mesa. Roadster/roadking are more expensive, but a simple dual rectifier is cheaper. BTW, Triamp is around 2300$ . However it's an awesome amp !
im not an expert here so i have to ask. does the MK1 have the same versatility? im sure most of you guys that worked your whole lives to be great guitarists dont really respect us metalheads much but can this amp get heavy? because im one of the few headbangers who cares about their tone. and H&K knows tone
@deathcore1239 The mk1 gets very heavy i have a mk2 and i play everything on it! I was even in a deathmetal band for awhile and i was blowing my buddies dual rec out of the water. Its all in the eq bro =)
@Shoji86 what pedals were you using though? because a million pedals can make a marshall MG15 sound like a 6505+. and i HAVE a TS9 but i dont want to rely on it for my heavyness you know? i believe that the best tone is just a guitar and an amp. everything else just takes some of that great simplicity out of it.
@deathcore1239 Well first off trust me you can't get an mg to sound like a 6505 (trust me i've tried it as an experiment) All you'll get is just a lot of distortion but you'll lack the responce, warmth, articulation of a 6505 haha. When playing death metal i'm just plug in and play. no pedals no bullshit ya know haha. i just let the front of house guy add some delay thats it. Trust me this thing is a very heavy sounding amp. EQ is a big thing with this amp though so make sure you eq it right =)
@Shoji86 no worries, im very good at EQ'ing (i made a 30 watt Line 6 Spider III sound good). i just dont like when people demo or reccomend amps when they boost them. because then their not demoing/reccomending the amp, theyre demoing/reccomending the pedal and its effect on the amp. thats why my love goes to the framus cobra. no pedals needed for high gain. even on the crunch channel. the lead channel is fucking rediculous (excuse my aweful spelling)!
@deathcore1239 Yeah i get what you mean but believe me channel 3b has MORE then enough gain that you probably wont go past 1 o clock to be honest lol. But yeah check out the amp its great! =)

@RickStar72 completely agree, recs just get lost in a mix when you put em against most other decent amps. Sound shit on their own too.....

@PetrucciLifeson12 If you compare it to bogner, mesa boogie & co, it's not so expensive.
ShreddingMetalRecord 6 months ago
@ShreddingMetalRecord Maybe not as much as bogner but I think it's more expensive than Mesa. Most of them anyway.
