@chaipasquoi Well I am a white Londoner and lived in Brixton for 15 years with no problems because I am not a racist - loved my time there. London taxi drivers are expensive and notorious for taking you the long way round if you are a stranger so it costs more, so the black guys did you a favour. The other idiots would have put you right about calling them Londonians if they were real Londoners mate and although there are racists here they are the minority.

@chaipasquoi Opinions about this are mixed. While in many cases it is true that they are forced into 'ghettos' the actual truth is that they create them not so long after they have arrived. Most of them arrive uneducated in England and find it hard to assimilate. They do no know the customs, social traditions etc, and it is easier for them to form tight communities of their own ethnicities where they can speak their own languages, work and raise their children in a way that is known to them.

A similiar situation happened 10 years ago in Bradford between the bradford Pakistani communities and locals in violent riots.
