I am 13 and was wondering how you get into this? im planing on taking a scuba class but idk if im old enough to get certified but how do you do this kinda stuff?

@jackalow13 well, we got into it by jus chilling in the caribbean, jus one day we decided to go spearfishing, that was when we were still kinda scared of sharks and sounds silly but barracudas too =P, i think takin suba classes you can even do it if ur 10 or somthin, i remember i was about to pass it with my bro when i was about 13 too so i think your old enough to do it,

you can take the open water course. It cost about 150$ in most places, it teaches you how to dive with a tank. You don't need to take any class at all to do some free dive. If you free dive, near the coast its safe. If you go for deeper waters , don't be afraid of sharks. Just never get near them, do not try to fish them and if they get too close, poke them with the speargun. Get out of the water if the shark is about 3 meters long, but its really rare to find one that big.
