Loved this part of the film - agree 100% with his sentiments.
As for Thatcher - I hope that the God foresaken whore rots in hell for what she did to so many people's communities and lives.
Before I go thanks to all you people that voted Liberal......you are now in bed with the tory scum and the working class of the UK are once again getting well and truly shafted.
I hope that you are all happy for turning your backs on Labour and I truly hope that you all get what you fucking deserve!
I agree with your sentiments on The Devil but I have to admit that I voted Lib Dem in the last election
The reason for that was purely because the stupid cunts that live in my constituency consistently vote tory and it has been a +50% stronghold for them for any years... the nearest party for that seat was a Lib so me and my family voted for them, in the hope that it would get the useless bollock out.
Sadly it all backfired when clegg stabbed us in the back. my vote continues to mean fuck all.
Sorry mate but you aren't going to get my sympathy - irrespective of the reasons behind your tactical voting. I too live in a tory controlled area - but it doesn't stop me supporting my local Labour Party by canvassing.
The fact remains that it was the swing to Lib Dem that cost Labour the election - I just hope that everyone who voted Liberal is happy with their contribution; now that these two clowns are taking this nation into complete financial and economic meltdown.
Ok K'Man let's let's put your comment to a test E.G..FARMERS, ... cheaper to import much of our food but we don't & we subsidise them to fcukl...why? Oh...normally Tories, a well established part of THE establishment & vital politically to the EU parasites so maybe let's not them go to the wall eh? 300 years worth of coal under our feet & we import. Oh yes, & shirts cost a penny in places like China if you're happy to see kids working all day for a pittance. Christ, I despair.
Why pay expensive workers to mine a product nobody in the world wants to buy, when they can buy it from India, China and the east for 10% of what British coal would cost.
After what happened the last time those Eton/Oxbridge/Privatising bastards were in power, we better be ready to rise against them and stop the destruction they caused to an industry happening to a generation.
The North, The Scots and The Welsh, remember what they did to us, and what we must never let happen again
I Iive in the Cortonwood area where it all kicked off, they'll be street party's around here when she's gone after the damage she caused to this once proud area.
Art imitates life... My friend is a trombone player in the brass band I play in, looks a lot like Phil in Brassed Off, and last week he was made redundant with no notice whasoever... He's just acted out the scene that they should have had in Brassed Off but didn't, the one where a working man is humiliated by a civil servant in a Job Centre...
Shame on the people too that were idiotic enough to turn their backs on Labour and voted Liberal - when it was clear what Clegg's intentions were from the outset. The most hysterical thing about it is that the Liberals truly believe they are a voice within this present government.
Thatcher had being planning to destroy the coal industry and break the miners union since the 1974 strike that brought down the Heath Government.
She arranged to stockpile coal and secure back up transport incase of any sympathetic transport workers decided to strike as well, meaning that any strike by the miners would be ineffective.
