I was born in 1984, so I was not aware of the epic music that was being released when I was very young. I would give ANYTHING to have been a teenager when all this awesome rock n roll was new and fresh. I loved the hair metal era, but I loved some of the grunge era too. Now, I'm into the screamo/alternative rock. I appreciate the different fads of rock. The hair band era reminds me of being 12-16 years old- fun times. Excellent music to have in that age range. Geez, watching these videos especially makes me remember things I was doing at the time. It seems these bands and the music was so in touch with the fans and the fun times. I miss those days that seemed to come and go so fn fast.

One of the odd things, looking back on it all, is how fast it happened. Something to Believe In was a smash hit, and by the start of 1992 Poison was more or less finished.

Flesh and Blood is an interesting single. It is in some ways the most backward looking number on the album. It doesn't sound like bluesy, funky late Poison, but it also doesn't sound like early sloppy Gutter-Glam Poison of Cat (my favorite period). It actually sounds like a Kiss or Cindarella arena anthem.
