The love and admiration we have for family and friends is shown through our celebratory Thanksgiving gatherings among them, not flouting how much money we saved on their presents and disregarding a cherished holiday to stand in line with complete strangers instead. Retailers should be ashamed that they stole their employees' precious time to be with their families on Thanksgiving.

What have we become? I challenge anyone here to look around at the people on black friday. They're literally foaming at the mouth. You can see it in their faces. Plunging themselves thousands of dollars in debt with a swipe of their hand. Mobbing everywhere trampling over the dead bodies crushed in the masses. I am sickened by my culture. This day is a testament to our cultures dire need for some sort of salvation from the consumerism that rules our lives and that is why I occupy.

I was driving home with my wife from a dinner with friends and making fun of the fact that people spend their whole day with family just to buy more things.
