no no no, Has everyone forgot the power glove, Nintendo got there idea for the wii mote from there power glove, also in the 80's nintendo had a controller free piece of technology like the kinect I forgot the name, basically the ps move has always copied nintendo
If Sony was REALLY working on this motion control before the development of Wii, then WHY was Wii released FOUR YEARS before PS Move?
Sony abandoned the technology and they were not going to release this, but after the success of Wii, they released it to try and cash in on the success of Wii.
fuck ps3¡¡¡ wii invented the wii mote.. and you copy us¡¡¡¡ we payed for a shitty console which can't do anything right, not even IA (since the npcs are retarded), ati-alising (the ball in the bowling games are poligons), do hd (playing on a lcd is like playing ps1 on a 100' proyector tv), and is really horrible compared with xbox 1 (wich is from an older generation), but who cares.. we got the control which is REVOLUTION(although we got to pay extra money for the wiimotion+) now what do u have?
How about you nintenfags get out and stop claiming Nintendo invented everything just because you're mad that they had wii tech that had nothing inside of it before Wii's crappy existence came around
Funny that the first motion controller was the LeStick for the Atari 2600.
I don't care about the "who copied who" debate because for all we know, they had no idea they were both building the same thing. I'm just glad that not only Nintendo can come up with some awesome ideas. I want EVERY entertainment company to do that.
What we get from this is that now everyone who only has a PS3 or Xbox360 get's to enjoy some new games with interesting control concepts. ;]
But yes the Wii's concept was created a few months before the concept stages for Sony's wand.
Sony has an entire history of being born from Nintendo, their very console and controller was the SNES CD in which they were originally working with Nintendo.
This is not me hating on Sony, I do like Sony a lot, but still, credit where credit is due, the Sony wand could just be a happy coincidence.
I'm too smart and busy to entertain this conversation any longer , it's not going anywhere and I have homework to do and weed to smoke. Have fun enjoying the standards that Nintendo innovated.
@ilorvygjm I don't know if you're being serious or not but Nintendo was the first company to put rumble in their controllers. Hell, they had analogue sticks before Sony, too. The N64 controller had it from the start, Sony didn't put it in until they revised their PS1 controllers.
the dual analog controller for ps1 and the n64 controller got got rumble in the same month in japan, the biggest difference being that nintendo had an external solution while sony's was built in which means nintendo copied their approach of having it incorporated into the main controller
n64 had a digital stick not analog while sonys controller had analog sticks, furthermore compaines like atari had analog sticks, motion controller concepts ( le stick ) etc 1st
@ilorvygjm No, they didn't. The Rumble Pack came out in April in Japan, the revised PS1 controller came out in November. I love how you accuse Nintendo of stealing the idea from Sony when they invented it in the first place.
And for the latter point, you're also wrong. The N64 controller had an analogue stick, you can call it whatever you want but it's the same thing Sony copied in their revised controllers. Nintendo didn't invent those, but you're wrong about them copying them from Sony.
@Darushi3 you obviously didn't bother to go and educate yourself on this - sony's dual analog controller came out in the same april as the rumble pack with built in rumble in japan, the dual shock was a revision made later on... before you bother replying look the damn thing up
"they invented it" nintendo inevented vibration technology? so i suppose my memories of several other devices with it are somehow delusions?
once again i'll reiterate the n64 stick used digital technology not analog
@ilorvygjm That's actually interesting, I didn't know that that was the case. However your logic of, "Nintendo's rumble was external therefore they copied Sony" is still flawed and Nintendo brought the feature overseas before Sony, hence they're associated with "inventing" it.
Also, memory is subjective and doesn't make a convincing argument.
I still have no idea what you're saying about the N64 controller. It was analog. It functioned exactly like the later PS1 controller's sticks.
@Darushi3 they launched at the same time with sony having it built in first... that has always been my point up to now you've said absolutely nothing that contradicts that
force feedback or "rumble" has been used for various electronics applications for years before the games industry incorporated it.... the same applies to several other features like motion, pressure sensitivity etc
"It functioned exactly" thats like me saying that LCD and plasma both output HD so they function the same
@ilorvygjm said "nintendo copied sony in the use of analog thumb sticks for consoles"
Remove the word analog and sony are the ones who copied Nintendo. ( Don't play word semantics they worked EXACTLY the same way so I could care less if it was labeled digital) The N64 came out in june 1996. Sonys THUMB STICK controller came out almost a year later in April 1997. FAIL
"nintendo copied sony in terms of using built in rumble"
OK AFTER Nintendo innovated rumble for console gaming first. FAIL
@Pooverse "nintendo copied sony in the use of analog thumb sticks for consoles"
yes exactly because companies like sony and atari used analog sticks first nintendo first used digital sticks on the 64 then went analog with the gamecube
"nintendo copied motion gaming from atari"
yes they did atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first then nintendo copied the idea
btw tell me if this is at all familiar to nintendos "new" concept
@ilorvygjm said "yes they did atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"
Umm do you know how to read? I already answered this, Atari didn't even make Le Stick smart guy!
"yes exactly because companies like sony and atari used analog sticks first "
And who is using analog joy sticks...? O yeah NO ONE, they are using analog THUMB sticks like the one FIRST found on the N64. Digital is just word semantics.
@Pooverse "yes they did atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"
yes the atari le stick was the first motion wand developed for gaming nintendo then proceeded to copy it
"yes exactly because companies like sony and atari used analog sticks first "
well actually to be accurate the vectrex had analog first then companies like atari followed then nintendo's 64 had a digital stick then after ps2 launched nintendo copied the dual analog concept
@ilorvygjm Wow this is a new low ilorvy. Childishly ignoring my responses and still posting utter ignorance... thats one way to negate a logical debate.
Another shinning example of the magnificent intelligence found in the sony fanboy community.....Bravo *claps*
@Pooverse well what more can be expected when im trying to reason with a fanboy idiot who has nintendos cock caught up his ass? your so devoted to trying to wrongly give the impression that nintendo has invented everything to do with gaming im sorry regardless of how much it hurts you the facts are :
"atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"
"the vectrex followed by consoles from atari and other early game companies had analogs first"
@ilorvygjm said "regardless of how much it hurts you the facts are :
"atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first".."
For the 8th time no they didn't. DATASOFT made le stick you ignorant pile. Your so fare up your own ass, thinking that you are right your not even reading my response.
Your just more proof of how dimwitted and ignorant sony fanboys are when it comes to gaming history.
And for the 100th time I NEVER said Nintendo "invented" anything retarded. God your pathetic.
@Pooverse lol at some point in time i heard you call yourself an english major well im an elctronics major and so far it seems to me that i have a better grasp of english than you do :
i said "atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"
you said "DATASOFT made le stick"
now as an english major you should realise instantly that these two statements do not contradict each other but lol you don't lmfao your grades must be low as fuck man
@ilorvygjm said " i said "atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first".." So what motion wand where you implying when you said "Atari came up with the idea using a motion wand first" if it wasn't Le Stick....?
This has nothing to do with my reading skills and everything to do with this "Atari" motion wand.
So genius what proof do you have that "Atari" did anything with motion controls? Is there some OTHER motion wand that "Atari" made that came before DATASOFT made Le Stick...?
@Pooverse i said "atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"
you said "DATASOFT made le stick"
ok i see that im going to have to break this down and simplify so you can keep up...
i said atari came up with the idea but of course for example i can come up with the idea for vr gaming now but thats not the same as actually building a vr games device...
the same can be said for this situation that you an english major couldn't realise that is fucking pathetic
@ilorvygjm said "i said atari came up with the idea but of course for example i can come up with the idea for vr gaming now but thats not the same as actually building a vr games device"
LMFAO Wow you are so pathetic. More word semantics to hide the fact that your WRONG AGAIN. This pathetic tactic is oddly familiar, where do I remember this from...o yeah. This is like the time you tried to convince me the LED's in the wii sensor bar produced IR waves instead of IR light.XD. WHAT AN IDIOT!
@ilorvygjm said "atari came up with the idea but of course for example i can come up with the idea for vr gaming now but thats not the same as actually building a vr games device."
"said atari came up with the idea" The word your looking for is conceived, Atari conceived the idea first, which BTW has multiple reasons to NOT be true
1. NO PROOF Atari concieved ANYTHING motion related.
2. Science fiction writer like Frank Herbert and Mark Geston wrote about interactive game worlds in the 60's.
@Pooverse " Frank Herbert and Mark Geston wrote about interactive game worlds in the 60's."
did they also talk about attaching motion wands to consoles? if not what connection does this has to anything mr english major?
"produced IR waves instead of IR light"
lol i've made this point before but i see that i have to make it again you don't know anything about communications so avoid the topic completely - ir is radiation belonging to the electromagetic wave spectrum
@ilorvygjm Just stop dude! Your obviously nowhere near smart enough to even cover your own blatant lies, let alone have a mental joust with me. So lets stop this charade, you can't stick to one subject especially when someone calls out your ignorance, and it's just sad. Every time I call you out , you either try word semantics or bait and switch, two tactics that are FAMOUSLY used in debates when the person is LOSING.
It's just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pathetic.
@Pooverse that you still don't get that scares me... what exactly is your major i mean specifically it can't just be english and i sure as fuck know it can't be comprehension
@ilorvygjm said "nintendo copied sony in terms of using disc based games"
LMFAO your so pathetic...Ok after sony was contracted BY NINTENDO to build a disc based gaming system in the early 90's. BTW sony copied Sega CD if thats the case!...FAIL
"nintendo copied sonys dual analog for gamecube controller"
OK after Sony copied the original idea for the THUMB STICK from Nintendo. Nintendo has the right to add a second thumb stick when they innovated the first one...YOU FAIL AGAIN
@ilorvygjm said "nintendo copied motion gaming from atari"
No they didn't if anybody they copied it from Datasoft NOT Atari dipshit! For someone that claims to know more about this than everyone on this video you get alot WRONG. BTW Nintendo actually innovated motion while sony just copied it. More accurate does NOT= innovative. FAIL
"nintendo copied light gun gaming from magnavox"
Nintendo owned the rights to sell Magnavox Odyssey, that is actually a point FOR Nintendo... Thank You.
@ilorvygjm You argument is way, way, way to broad. Some of those aren't even right. Sony copied Nintendo by creating a console for use on a home TV. Sony copied Nintendo by putting buttons on a controller. Sony copied Nintendo by EXISTING. These just don't work as valid arguments.
@jabryant0125 nintendo wasn't the first to have a console for tv or the first to have a console with buttons ( or analogs ) and the last point was just plain retarded
@ilorvygjm I never said Nintendo was the first to do these, just that they were before Sony. And if you would actually read the whole thing, so would see that I said these are arguments that DON'T WORK!
@jabryant0125 " these are arguments that DON'T WORK"
i absolutely agree if you mean that from the pov that its normal for companies to build upon what earlier companies did
but i must say it gets extremely annoying to see nintendo fanboys posting the same shit over and over again ( not saying others don't but its mainly the nintendo guys that do )
@KenuZdk And even if Nintendo did steal that. I could care less becasue Nintendo has been a gaming company for over 100 years. Sony made radios and TV before they stole everything from Nintendo to make ps1. Sony didn't know jack shit about gaming before Nintendo showed them. And now all you ignorant little kids think sony is God. When you should be thanking Nintendo the company sony gets all there ideas from.
@Pooverse btw dickrider the odyssey came out in 1972 and nintendo promptly copied their light gun concept like how they copied the thumbsticks, 3d and motion from atari nintendo has copied far more than sony
@ilorvygjm said "the odyssey came out in 1972"..."nintendo promptly copied their light gun concept"
Nintendo owned the rights to sell the Magnavox Odessey. Its not copying when your part owner of the product idiot.
YOU SAID "like how they copied the thumbsticks" A thumbstick with varying degrees of tilt that self-centers. Please give me PROOF such a controller existed before the N64 and you MIGHT be right.
OK first of all atari didn't make le stick. It was a third party and Le Stick had NO games, and operated like a joystick without a base ONLY TILT sensitive. NOT like the innovation of the wiimote which senses twist, yaw, AND acceleration( ontop of tilt) AND has a pointer AND a second thumb stick controller. THIS IS WHAT SONY COPIED to make ps move.
Is their a motion controller with all that that came out before wii? Sonys so pathetic.
@Pooverse nothing you've posted cancels anything ive said out its merely all whining by a lame butthurt faggot who trolls sony videos here lets go again :
"OK after sony copied Nintendos thumb stick".... no wrong... sony used completely different technology ( analog vs digital ) which nintendo later implemented
"Sony was contracted BY Nintendo" i didn't say not but this is still relevant "nintendo copied sony in terms of using disc based games"
@ilorvygjm said ""OK after sony copied Nintendos thumb stick".... no wrong... sony used completely different technology ( analog vs digital ) which nintendo later implemented"
OK but they used the SAME implementation, they used the SAME thumb pad design, they used the same ability to sense varying degrees of pressure. SO they copied it and used newer technology EXACTLY LIKE PS MOVE. Your in SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much denial its retarded.
@Pooverse "SO they copied it and used newer technology" <----- how does that make sense?
.... analog technology used by sony before nintendo is superior to digital technology in the context of thumbsticks.... thats why nintendo abandoned it after the 64 and used analogs later.... i don't quite understand how thats hard to understand.... quite simply you were wrong sony used it first
@Pooverse "It makes as much sense as Powerglove being a copy of le stick".... <----- and how did we jump here now? to talking about mattel's powerglove?
@Pooverse "Atari didn't even make Le stick" maybe they did maybe they didn't whats relevant is that nintendo borrowed from the concept....
i have to thank you for one thing thought if it wasn't for you and your bullshit i would actually ignorantly give nintendo credit for things that they deserve no credit for.... after this i can honestly say i have far less respect for nintendo as a gaming company and far more for sony
@ilorvygjm said "actually ignorantly give nintendo credit for things that they deserve no credit for... after this i can honestly say i have far less respect for nintendo as a gaming company and far more for sony "
Thats cool I feel the same way about Sony.
I don't see how you can have more respect for a company that learned how to MAKE game systems from Nintendo. but whatever
Atleast I have respect for the company that actually saved the industry instead of selling it out to graphics whores.
@Pooverse every point i made still stands btw... " that learned how to MAKE game systems" sony learned from nintendo? what exactly? how to actually build the hardware? you mean even though they were leaders in building electronics long before nintendo? ( the very reason why nintendo requested their help in the first place ) or do you mean the analog technology that nintendo copied? or the disc based games? lol go back to the drawing board think up something else and come back again wiitard
@CH4MPD3V4ST4T4 said "actually sony came up with the idea first"
Ummm NO! Powerglove came out before both of them. So actually mattel had the "idea" first. And they partnered with Nintendo to release it for NES. It's kinda sad how ignorant you sony fans can be

Please if you can give me a list of things SONY has innovated for video games (I don't care about what other GAMING company’s have brought to the table just SONY) that Nintendo has copied from them, it would help Sony look less pathetic. But until a list this long exists of things Nintendo did after Sony. Sony will remain innovation less corporate suits. D-pad, Diamond button layout, Shoulder buttons Analog thumb stick Rumble 3d Touch screen gaming Dual screen gaming Voice command
@mindfreak325 Too young to remember the TurboGrafx CD, the 3DO, the Sega CD and the Sega Saturn, huh? All of those debuted before the original Playstation...which was itself originally developed as the CD-ROM peripheral to the SNES. The "fail" is all yours here.
@Pooverse Pathetic? You mad? You think only about Games... Talking about pictures, images and computers, Sony is one of the most innovative and respected corporations... On Gaming, they innovated the hardwares on the consoles and controllers, 12 years ago there were different technologies for Analog thumb stick... Optical(Nintendo) Variable Resistor(SONY) and the Hall effect(SEGA) and it's Sony's Variable resistor analog thumb stick that is being used on ALL modern controllers. And there's more.
This---> . <---- is called a period. It separates your ideas in a cognitive manner so your thoughts don't trail on in a sloppy mess. "i dont know what crack your smoking but the nes did not come out in 1980"
God you are dumb! For the 4th time I didn't say NES or famicon I said GAME and WATCH you illiterate ass-clown. It was made by Nintendo and came out in 1980. God, can you even read?
Look up Game & Watch on wiki, if wiki is your source then your source supports me dumbass!
@Pooverse and still the intelovition controle disc was a d-pad (The disc at the base of the Hand Controller is a directional control for those cartridges in which direction is a factor. There are 16 directions on the disc. Direction of disc corresponds to direction on television screen. UP on the disc (toward the keypad) is UP on the screen, etc. For further instructions, refer to your cartridge instructions.) this is strat from the instruction manual sega and xbox both use a disc style d pad
@budtoker13 said "sega and xbox both use a disc style d pad"
Look how much shit the xbox controller gets for it's horrible direction disc becasue of it, and it still features a raised cross shape that was innovated originaly by Nintendo.
SAID " sony already had something like it for the final fantasy games" "don't believe me look up ASCII GRIP 2"
Thats was not sony it was agetec who made that, and it was a ONE-HANDED controller for handicaps nice try. Sony still copied Nintendo.
@Pooverse even if it was agetech it was still a one hand controller like the nunchuck and nav so thy both copy it so look nintendo copys ppl to all im saying it every one copy's like how sony used dvd first then every one else did sony used 2 thumb sticks next thing you know every one dose sony uses dual rumble thene every one else dose sony puts buttons under the thumb sticks well you get it right all im saying is the move is different enough and was based of stuff sony was already doing
@Pooverse i like hoe you nintendo fans love to boast about the power glove uforce and other motion controls on nes but all those were third party but when sony fans point to tiltforce and things like grip v2 yall all say but sony didn't make that well hears a bubble buster if we cant use them as an example then yall cant use power glove made in us by Mattel and pax in japan and uforce made by Brøderbund right
Cool so Sony had a foam ball on a stick with NO pointer, NO internal motion sensors, NO buttons, and NO games in 2004. And Nintendo had the light gun game "Laser Clay Shooting System" in 1973, power pad in 1988(which supported the motion sports game collection "Track and Field"), powerglove in 1989(which supported Virtual car steering motion for "Rad Racer"), and kirby tilt and tumble in 1999(first game to do motion capturing prior to wii).
@Pooverse you do realize most the motion control's on nes like uforce and power glove had Nintendo had no part in right it was a 3ed party controllers like madcats and pelican today so even tho it was on nes it was not Nintendos ip and a light gun is not a motion controller you cued argue with you logic Nintendo copied the game console idea from Atari cus thy had cartridges first and the thumb stick every one accredits to Nintendo is just a copy of a joystick and so on and so forth
@budtoker13 said " the thumb stick every one accredits to Nintendo is just a copy of a joystick and so on and so forth "
For some reason NO one uses the joy stick anymore. That’s because Nintendo's thumb stick innovation is 50X more practical. And that’s why everyone copied the thumb stick and not the joystick. A thumb stick opens up the rest of your hand for shoulder and face buttons. Do you want to play kill zone with dual joystick? NO so thank Nintendo for the thumb analog stick.
@Pooverse just as Nintendo unproved apon the joystick by the way i use a joystick all the time in flight games thumb sticks just dont work right sony improved apon the thumb/joystick to thy were the first to use 2 and revolutionized gaming and thy were the first to use polygons duel rumble and a cam for games on console and were working on there version of motion control's for some time so you can see where every company copied another and all it dose is move the industry forward
@budtoker13 said " thy were the first to use polygons duel rumble and a cam for games "
OK after Nintendo released the rumble pack with star fox 64. Sony copied rumble from Nintendo. And Nintendo was the first to make a camera for games called gameboy camera from 1998. Sony copied the camera idea from Nintendo too.
Cool so sony copied the thumb analog stick (adding a second one is NOT innovative) rumble (also not innovative if Nintendo did it first) and a camera which is not original ethr
@Pooverse although the gameboy had a cam it only took pics and was not used as the controller so not a copy and it was a still cam not a vid cam and as i keep saying a thumb stick is a joystick just smaller and nintendo and sony got rumble from another company called imertion
@budtoker13 said "with you logic Nintendo copied the game console idea from Atari cus thy had cartridges first "
I'm fine with admitting that. Nintendo copied Atari when they made NES/Famicom. Because Nintendo saved the industry when they did so. Atari basically ran the game industry to almost extinction. Nintendo nursed it back to health with innovations like the d-pad and fantastic game design.
@Pooverse and sony's ps1 was the first console to sell 100 million consoles in its life cycle and the ps2 still holds the fastest to sell 100 million and it still the console to sell the most ever in a life cycle and from the time sony entered the gaming industry it went from a 2.5 million dollar a year industry to a 25 million dollar a year industry so you could say Nintendo put the gaming industry on life support and sony gave it a hart transplant
@budtoker13 said " you could say Nintendo put the gaming industry on life support and sony gave it a hart transplant "
Yeah by throwing non-gaming corporate money at Nintendo innovative ideas. Anybody could do what sony did, given enough money and foresight. What Sony did to Nintendo would be the equivalent of Toyota coming out with a 3dhd system next year with ps move controls, blueray, and better graphics for 200 dollars. Then sony struggling because they don't have car sales to lean on.
@Pooverse now back to the thumb stick you sed (A thumb stick opens up the rest of your hand for shoulder and face buttons) that was sonys idea cus nintendo had it in the middle so eater you had to let go of the d-pad and left shoulder button or you had to let go of the button pad and the right shoulder button sony put them in the right place and added the l/r 3 buttons under them so nintendo improved the joystick and made the thumb stick and sony improved the thumb stick and made it perfect
@Pooverse and another thing on you who uses joysticks anymore you ever go to a arcade and see thumb sticks and what about the arcade sticks for ps3 xbox 360 for games like street fighter and teken and games like that thy have joysticks don't thy so i guess ppl still do use joysticks don't thy LOL besides a thumb stick is a small joystick and the thumb stick acts the same works the same you know a compact car is still a car and a midget is still a person no mater the size
@Pooverse and if you know you d-pad history it was first featered on the Intellivision not Nintendo Intellivision came out in 1980 famacon 1981 and nes 1982 looks like Nintendo copied some one else agen LOL
@budtoker13 said " d-pad history it was first featered on the Intellivision not Nintendo "
WOW nice try dude Intellivision had a directional disc in 1980 the SAME year Nintendo realsed it's game and watch series which ACTUALLY had a d-PAD not d-DISC.
@Pooverse d-pad is a directional pad you push the pad you move in a direction you did not say arrow buttons the disc on the intelovition was a 16 directional pad so there for it is a d-pad if you want arrow buttons in a cross pattern then you half to give credit to cosmic hunter on microvition in 1981 and famicom was released in japan in 1983 the released as nes in us in 1985
@budtoker13 only way sony copied wii was with the accelerometers and gyros but wii was not the first to use those in a controller but thats not what makes the move the move the ball on the end it its what gives it its accuracy the cam allows for augmented reality fill 3d interface and a tun more stuff we can only dream of every one copy's/improves on every thing the wheel became a wagon the wagon became a car
@budtoker13 said "every one copy's/improves on every thing the wheel became a wagon the wagon became a car "
Credit should be given where credit is do. So Nintendo says your welcome for ps move coming out. Without wii, sony wouldn't have to "copy/improve" anything. Without n64 sony would never have to "improve" the analog thumb stick. Without starfox 64 sony wouldn't have improve rumble.
If you can name some things that sony did that Nintendo copied it might not make sony look so pathetic.
@Pooverse credit is do to arcades Odessa intelavition atari nintendo sega sony but not microsoft cus all thy have dun is screw up the industry but you cant say sony copied without admitting nintendo copied to nintendo made a crap thumb stick out of a joystick sony took the crap thumb stick and made it what it is today and nintendo copied ps2 with dvd wii uses dvd disc right how about 2 thumb sticks on the game cube and it used dvd to
@Pooverse light tracking only reason move lights up is so you can play in any light condition its not tracking light its tracking shape and color and there were 1 handed mouse designs for presentation that use a thumb stick and ir pointers in pc even before Nintendo made the wii mote hell nintendo even got sued over it and settled out of cort so if thy dint copy some one why would thy settle out of court and back on the thumb stick joysticks for pc had the hat switch witch is like a thumb stick
@Pooverse and on the nav controler so the nunchuck has a d-pad and a l3 and 2 face buttons wait theirs one of thos innovations as you would call it right oh and it dont have rumble built in battery and it dont run threw the move like the cuck threw the wiimote so when nintendo copies some one its inovations but when sony inproves apon somthing its just copining and i was talking about the move controler not the nave 2 diff tings you culed use 2 moves for the same purpose like the fight
It's not even worth trying to decipher that horrible jumble of rushed thoughts you consider a response. Come back and have a debate with me when you learn 4th grade grammar techniques like periods, sentence structure, and commas. Your unorganized keyboard diarrhea is impossible to comprehend and find substance in. Even organizing your thoughts in a junior high level of sophistication would have been more acceptable than this dribble.
I can tell you have an extremely limited vocabulary. So expecting you to understand and differentiate deep concepts like innovation, invention, and improvement are a little bit of a stretch. Try pulling out a dictionary ones in a while. You could learn a thing or two about words and the English language.
The point here is; out of the big three Nintendo does the most for video game innovation. Sony and micro do very little innovating but lots of improving compared to Nintendo.
@Pooverse sorry im a dyslexic and rely on spell check but i know tech and remapping buttons is not invention innovation but it is a improvement so the d pad is not nintendos 100% it was a slow build up like the ps controller but sony has added enough to gaming to be considered relevant and the move although it dus all the things the wii can do it can do more cus its a cross between every thing thy were working on motion in the sixaxis the eye and the ball on a stick not a blatant rip off of wii
@Pooverse if you cut the ds3 in half you will see the nave is just the left half of the controller and sony already had something like it for the final fantasy games so is it a rip off of the nuncuck or a redesign of a earlier controller don't believe me look up ASCII GRIP 2 so what is it a nunchuck rip off or a redesign
@budtoker13 said " if you want arrow buttons in a cross pattern then you half to give credit to cosmic hunter on microvition in 1981"
NOOOOOO you give credit to NINTENDOS GAME & WATCH from 1980 dude...like I just said...Can you read? The intellivison control is described as a directional DISC...Do you see sony and micro using a directional disc nowdays? NO they use the d-pad, which Nintendo innovated. Nintendo even has the cross shape patented.
@Pooverse i dont know what crack your smoking but the nes did not come out in 1980 in japan it came out in 1983 and usa in 1985 learn your nintendo history and look op d-pad history and you will find the same answers i did
@Pooverse its wrong cus its not what you say it it well provide the sources and change it then cus even nintendos website ses thy didnt start selling till 1983 or to the us till 1985 so nintendo is wrong to right and microvitons cosmic hunter came out in 1981 you can look it up in non wiki sources to
@Pooverse and sony only got in to the gaming industry cus nintendo backed out of the contracted to make the snescd cus thy sed cd was not the future of gaming but sony know better and made the ps1 then with ps2 thy added dvd which ms and nintendo still use and both try and say bd is not the way to go sony has be doing there thing and improving gaming for the better nintendo comes out with the wii sony shows them up with there ball on a sick project
@budtoker13 said "cus thy sed cd was not the future of gaming but ony know better and made the ps1 then with ps2 thy added dvd which ms and nintendo"
Nintendo uses a proprietary disc format not dvd's and besides dvd is NOT innovative it's an obvious technical improvement. Like going from 16 bit to 32 bit. That’s just keeping up with the technology curve, which is the opposite of innovation.
Which is exactly my point about micro and sony. They don't innovate they just make things current.
@Pooverse nintendo was making a cd add on with sony thy dropped sony sony made it on there own ps1 ps2 thy ushered in dvd dvd would not be what it is without sony promoting it just like bd you could say the same about the thumb stick its just a joystick for you thumb not innovative the d pad was just a reconfiguration of what came before so not innovative by your stander vibration that was not even nintendo it was imertion look up th law suit agents nintendo sony and ms so not innovative
@CH4MPD3V4ST4T4 said "actually sony came up with the idea first"
Ummm powerglove came out before both of them....So actually mattel had the "idea" first. And they partnered with Nintendo to release it for NES. It's kinda sad how ignorant you sony drones are.
@KenuZdk said "You do know that the odessey also had a gun, and nintendo stole that?"
NOPE because the odessey came out in 1978...Nintendo made clay shooter in 1973. SOOOOOOO NO Nintendo didn't steal that from odessey you ignorant tool.
@Ub3rSk1llz said "You forgot to say that every one of those Accessories never worked properly. "
BULLSHIT. Powerglove might have been a a pain in the ass to program, but it worked. Power pad worked GREAT and so did kirby tilt and tumble I should know I had BOTH.
And if your gonna go that rout you might wanna think about what your defending. Sonys foam ball on a stick which had NO games NO button and NO internal motion sensors and it NEVER "worked properly" because it was never released sooo
@Pooverse This is my guy right here (not literally) but he's probaby the only one here who know what he's talking about. ilorvygjm has something up his ass. Sony copied nearly everything from Nintendo. Where did their concept for rumble come from? What about analog? Nintendo doesn't just copy and paste by the way (Move), they actually make it into something useful. Nintendo's employees are optimizers.
@Charizard215 as someone named "charizard" i wouldn't expect you to know much anyway but tell me if this reminds you of nintendos new console ( be sure to watch both btw ):
/watch?v=mASdFCTNA7I
/watch?v=_pHzgKW2mDY
even though we can now see that nintendos new console is not innovative in anyway i would bet you that all the nintendo fanboys still claim that it was nintendos idea first just like with analog sticks ( which atari had b4 ) and other ideas
@ilorvygjm Well, you're a very judgmental person, huh? Your name is just a bunch of gibberish so I'll assume you don't know anything. There's a difference between joysticks (atari) and analog sticks (N64) in case you didn't know. Now referring to your links. These guys are doing stuff in 2007-2010 what Nintendo did in 2004 with The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, Pokemon Colosseum, etc? The GameBoy Advance and GameCube could do this. They just need a cable.
@Dman761 power glove was on the nes yes but Nintendo had nothing to do with it it was a 3ed party peripheral its like trying to say Sony and Microsoft made the afterglow controller of the airflow one
@InfinitiProject :The whole concept of this debate is to prove is this video is legit or not and since you not only haven't but you also don't know the name of this person. Then you really haven't proven nothing, and until you get this guy name and show me,"(yes that's your job dumbshit" not mine),you have nothing. Therefore i won this debate.Plus we can go farther. If it wasn't for Nintendo there wouldn't be a Playstation, and 90% of Sony game based ideas came from Nintendo.XDSo STFU.
@sexytyrant: And if it wasn't for the Atari, there wouldn't be a Nintendo, and if it wasn't for the Magnavox tthere wouldn't be a Nintendo, and if it wasn't for Arcade games there wouldn't be a Magnavox! Your point being?
Also, that man is Dr. Richard Marks, the inventor of the Eyetoy, PSEye, and Move.
First off.Thank U for getting his name right. It seems no one knew his name.(but i been knewlol..)If i would say it, it would ruin my argument.Remeber,Atari did came out first.true enough, but Nintendo didn't took an atari, mag reject system and turned it into a nintendo system.Sony took the rements of the SNES CD and turned it into the playstation. If Sony didn't try to teach Nintendo a lesson in their own field, they wouldn't even waste their time making game systems. That's my point.XD
Ninty didn't just come up with the Wii in a day, they've been looking into motion technology for years, I believe this is their second time trying a motion controlled peripheral. Sony is only making the Move now that they saw how to do it right, so they just copied the tried and true method, unlike Nintendo trying it out and failing until they could get it right.
Watch when Ninty makes a second virtual boy, and Sony makes a copy of that, but it's okay because they made badly made 3D on the PS3.
Actually, according to the Iwata Asks interviews, Nintendo began work on Wii (then named "Revolution") R&D in 2002, intermediately after the launch of the Gamecube. Which unfortunately means that Wii R&D predates this Sony eye toy demo.
I already knew Sony didn't technically copy Nintendo, but this is awesome for proof to use. Awesome video. Gonna show this to anyone who says Sony copied them now haha
Nintendo brought it out first so it's their idea first.
Especially since Sony has a history of stealing Nintendo's ideas.
Plus this guy in the video may just made this as a fan video, and got hired by Sony so he can spearhead the MOVE project since Nintendo is killing in sales with the Wii.It's funny we finding out about all this after the wii came out.
@InfinitiProject :Dumb Fucker.Read my comments again, and pay attention.I never said this video was fake,i said it was fan made. That's the difference. He could have made this video, and put it on you tube so they can hire him,to work for Sony like a video resume.Plus lets say Nintendo did steal this idea.Sony stole countless ideas from Nintendo, and Sony even admit to it in E3 06 that they do.Next time do some research, before picking a arguement.lol.
@sexytyrant you stupid fuck.... you called it a fan video which means you're calling it fake WHICH IT'S NOT. Ever heard of a tech demo? Obviously not. Nice try but your theories failed to shit.
@InfinitiProject :Tell you what dipshit,If you think this is real, what's the dude name in this video and what's his position in Sony???Exactly,Plus Sony of Japan brought the MOVE Concept before the guy in the video did so that's not only contradict's your words, but this entire video, also again, let's say they did came up with it first Why did they rip off Nintendo (nunchuk)Sub controller idea?(Rhetoircal)My point: Sony steals 90% of Nintendo ideas so proving your stupid theory is irrelavent.XD.
@InfinitiProject :One more Thing. If U payed attention to the video,AND THE MAN'S WORDS.He's refering to a Sorcery-like game for the PS2 (which is coming out on PS3 BTW,) a wand like device, using the Eyetoy''s camera functions.Their focus wasn't a wii remote like device,The Eyetoy was a Kinnect like device,That's what Sony was going for back then.
But if U wan't to take it there Nintendo created motion control in general
goml nintendo
iAmJeriKoo 4 months ago
no no no, Has everyone forgot the power glove, Nintendo got there idea for the wii mote from there power glove, also in the 80's nintendo had a controller free piece of technology like the kinect I forgot the name, basically the ps move has always copied nintendo
JesseJROCK 5 months ago
@JesseJROCK if someone thinks that the ps move isn't a wii copy then not even an argument as convincing as yours will change their minds
potsiiscool 1 month ago
If Sony was REALLY working on this motion control before the development of Wii, then WHY was Wii released FOUR YEARS before PS Move?
Sony abandoned the technology and they were not going to release this, but after the success of Wii, they released it to try and cash in on the success of Wii.
So, yes, Sony did copy Wii.

What we get from this is that now everyone who only has a PS3 or Xbox360 get's to enjoy some new games with interesting control concepts. ;]

@thedragonb0y *Who copied WHOM
jabryant0125 3 weeks ago
@jabryant0125 Wow seriously old comment! XDD
This happens to me sometimes.
thedragonb0y 3 weeks ago
I'm too smart and busy to entertain this conversation any longer , it's not going anywhere and I have homework to do and weed to smoke. Have fun enjoying the standards that Nintendo innovated.
Pooverse 10 months ago
@Pooverse yup:
nintendo copied sony in the use of analog thumbsticks for consoles
nintendo copied sony in terms of using built in rumble
nintendo copied sony in terms of using disc based games
nintendo copied sonys dual analog for gamecube controller
nintendo copied motion gaming from atari
nintendo copied light gun gaming from magnavox
ilorvygjm 10 months ago
@ilorvygjm I don't know if you're being serious or not but Nintendo was the first company to put rumble in their controllers. Hell, they had analogue sticks before Sony, too. The N64 controller had it from the start, Sony didn't put it in until they revised their PS1 controllers.
Darushi3 10 months ago
@Darushi3 im actually not :
the dual analog controller for ps1 and the n64 controller got got rumble in the same month in japan, the biggest difference being that nintendo had an external solution while sony's was built in which means nintendo copied their approach of having it incorporated into the main controller
n64 had a digital stick not analog while sonys controller had analog sticks, furthermore compaines like atari had analog sticks, motion controller concepts ( le stick ) etc 1st
ilorvygjm 10 months ago
@ilorvygjm No, they didn't. The Rumble Pack came out in April in Japan, the revised PS1 controller came out in November. I love how you accuse Nintendo of stealing the idea from Sony when they invented it in the first place.
And for the latter point, you're also wrong. The N64 controller had an analogue stick, you can call it whatever you want but it's the same thing Sony copied in their revised controllers. Nintendo didn't invent those, but you're wrong about them copying them from Sony.
Darushi3 10 months ago
@Darushi3 you obviously didn't bother to go and educate yourself on this - sony's dual analog controller came out in the same april as the rumble pack with built in rumble in japan, the dual shock was a revision made later on... before you bother replying look the damn thing up
"they invented it" nintendo inevented vibration technology? so i suppose my memories of several other devices with it are somehow delusions?
once again i'll reiterate the n64 stick used digital technology not analog
ilorvygjm 10 months ago
@ilorvygjm That's actually interesting, I didn't know that that was the case. However your logic of, "Nintendo's rumble was external therefore they copied Sony" is still flawed and Nintendo brought the feature overseas before Sony, hence they're associated with "inventing" it.
Also, memory is subjective and doesn't make a convincing argument.
I still have no idea what you're saying about the N64 controller. It was analog. It functioned exactly like the later PS1 controller's sticks.
Darushi3 10 months ago
@Darushi3 they launched at the same time with sony having it built in first... that has always been my point up to now you've said absolutely nothing that contradicts that
force feedback or "rumble" has been used for various electronics applications for years before the games industry incorporated it.... the same applies to several other features like motion, pressure sensitivity etc
"It functioned exactly" thats like me saying that LCD and plasma both output HD so they function the same
ilorvygjm 10 months ago
@ilorvygjm said "nintendo copied sony in the use of analog thumb sticks for consoles"
Remove the word analog and sony are the ones who copied Nintendo. ( Don't play word semantics they worked EXACTLY the same way so I could care less if it was labeled digital) The N64 came out in june 1996. Sonys THUMB STICK controller came out almost a year later in April 1997. FAIL
"nintendo copied sony in terms of using built in rumble"
OK AFTER Nintendo innovated rumble for console gaming first. FAIL
Pooverse 8 months ago
@Pooverse "nintendo copied sony in the use of analog thumb sticks for consoles"
yes exactly because companies like sony and atari used analog sticks first nintendo first used digital sticks on the 64 then went analog with the gamecube
"nintendo copied motion gaming from atari"
yes they did atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first then nintendo copied the idea
btw tell me if this is at all familiar to nintendos "new" concept

"yes exactly because companies like sony and atari used analog sticks first "
And who is using analog joy sticks...? O yeah NO ONE, they are using analog THUMB sticks like the one FIRST found on the N64. Digital is just word semantics.
"/watch?v=mASdFCTNA7I"
Cool I remember when Nintendo did that in 2004.
Pooverse 8 months ago
@Pooverse "yes they did atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"

well actually to be accurate the vectrex had analog first then companies like atari followed then nintendo's 64 had a digital stick then after ps2 launched nintendo copied the dual analog concept

@Pooverse well what more can be expected when im trying to reason with a fanboy idiot who has nintendos cock caught up his ass? your so devoted to trying to wrongly give the impression that nintendo has invented everything to do with gaming im sorry regardless of how much it hurts you the facts are :

And for the 100th time I NEVER said Nintendo "invented" anything retarded. God your pathetic.

@Pooverse lol at some point in time i heard you call yourself an english major well im an elctronics major and so far it seems to me that i have a better grasp of english than you do :
i said "atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"
you said "DATASOFT made le stick"
now as an english major you should realise instantly that these two statements do not contradict each other but lol you don't lmfao your grades must be low as fuck man
ilorvygjm 8 months ago
@ilorvygjm said " i said "atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first".." So what motion wand where you implying when you said "Atari came up with the idea using a motion wand first" if it wasn't Le Stick....?
This has nothing to do with my reading skills and everything to do with this "Atari" motion wand.
So genius what proof do you have that "Atari" did anything with motion controls? Is there some OTHER motion wand that "Atari" made that came before DATASOFT made Le Stick...?
Pooverse 8 months ago
@Pooverse i said "atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"
you said "DATASOFT made le stick"
ok i see that im going to have to break this down and simplify so you can keep up...
i said atari came up with the idea but of course for example i can come up with the idea for vr gaming now but thats not the same as actually building a vr games device...
the same can be said for this situation that you an english major couldn't realise that is fucking pathetic

This is like the time you tried to convince me the LED's in the wii sensor bar produced IR waves instead of IR light.XD. WHAT AN IDIOT!
Pooverse 8 months ago
@ilorvygjm said "atari came up with the idea but of course for example i can come up with the idea for vr gaming now but thats not the same as actually building a vr games device."
"said atari came up with the idea" The word your looking for is conceived, Atari conceived the idea first, which BTW has multiple reasons to NOT be true
1. NO PROOF Atari concieved ANYTHING motion related.
2. Science fiction writer like Frank Herbert and Mark Geston wrote about interactive game worlds in the 60's.
Pooverse 8 months ago

Pooverse 8 months ago
@Pooverse so when you said that nintendo was the first to use motion control gaming ( which is the root of this argument ) you were wrong then?
"atari came up with the idea of using a motion wand first"

and they don't... if i have an idea for some product and then i contract a company to build it
it can be said that i came up with the idea, while the company made it...

Pooverse 10 months ago
@ilorvygjm said "they copied" "motion from atari"

"Sony was contracted BY Nintendo" i didn't say not but this is still relevant "nintendo copied sony in terms of using disc based games"
ilorvygjm 10 months ago
@ilorvygjm said ""OK after sony copied Nintendos thumb stick".... no wrong... sony used completely different technology ( analog vs digital ) which nintendo later implemented"
OK but they used the SAME implementation, they used the SAME thumb pad design, they used the same ability to sense varying degrees of pressure. SO they copied it and used newer technology EXACTLY LIKE PS MOVE. Your in SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much denial its retarded.
Pooverse 10 months ago
@Pooverse "SO they copied it and used newer technology" <----- how does that make sense?
.... analog technology used by sony before nintendo is superior to digital technology in the context of thumbsticks.... thats why nintendo abandoned it after the 64 and used analogs later.... i don't quite understand how thats hard to understand.... quite simply you were wrong sony used it first

For further instructions, refer to your cartridge instructions.) this is strat from the instruction manual sega and xbox both use a disc style d pad
budtoker13 1 year ago

Look how much shit the xbox controller gets for it's horrible direction disc becasue of it, and it still features a raised cross shape that was innovated originaly by Nintendo.
SAID " sony already had something like it for the final fantasy games" "don't believe me look up ASCII GRIP 2"
Thats was not sony it was agetec who made that, and it was a ONE-HANDED controller for handicaps nice try. Sony still copied Nintendo.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse even if it was agetech it was still a one hand controller like the nunchuck and nav so thy both copy it so look nintendo copys ppl to all im saying it every one copy's like how sony used dvd first then every one else did sony used 2 thumb sticks next thing you know every one dose sony uses dual rumble thene every one else dose sony puts buttons under the thumb sticks well you get it right all im saying is the move is different enough and was based of stuff sony was already doing

@Pooverse i like hoe you nintendo fans love to boast about the power glove uforce and other motion controls on nes but all those were third party but when sony fans point to tiltforce and things like grip v2 yall all say but sony didn't make that well hears a bubble buster if we cant use them as an example then yall cant use power glove made in us by Mattel and pax in japan and uforce made by Brøderbund right
budtoker13 1 year ago
Cool so Sony had a foam ball on a stick with NO pointer, NO internal motion sensors, NO buttons, and NO games in 2004. And Nintendo had the light gun game "Laser Clay Shooting System" in 1973, power pad in 1988(which supported the motion sports game collection "Track and Field"), powerglove in 1989(which supported Virtual car steering motion for "Rad Racer"), and kirby tilt and tumble in 1999(first game to do motion capturing prior to wii).
Yeah Sony’s not copying Nintendo at all.... : I
Pooverse 1 year ago 13
@Pooverse you do realize most the motion control's on nes like uforce and power glove had Nintendo had no part in right it was a 3ed party controllers like madcats and pelican today so even tho it was on nes it was not Nintendos ip and a light gun is not a motion controller you cued argue with you logic Nintendo copied the game console idea from Atari cus thy had cartridges first and the thumb stick every one accredits to Nintendo is just a copy of a joystick and so on and so forth
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 said " the thumb stick every one accredits to Nintendo is just a copy of a joystick and so on and so forth "
For some reason NO one uses the joy stick anymore. That’s because Nintendo's thumb stick innovation is 50X more practical. And that’s why everyone copied the thumb stick and not the joystick. A thumb stick opens up the rest of your hand for shoulder and face buttons. Do you want to play kill zone with dual joystick? NO so thank Nintendo for the thumb analog stick.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse just as Nintendo unproved apon the joystick by the way i use a joystick all the time in flight games thumb sticks just dont work right sony improved apon the thumb/joystick to thy were the first to use 2 and revolutionized gaming and thy were the first to use polygons duel rumble and a cam for games on console and were working on there version of motion control's for some time so you can see where every company copied another and all it dose is move the industry forward
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 said " thy were the first to use polygons duel rumble and a cam for games "
OK after Nintendo released the rumble pack with star fox 64. Sony copied rumble from Nintendo. And Nintendo was the first to make a camera for games called gameboy camera from 1998. Sony copied the camera idea from Nintendo too.
Cool so sony copied the thumb analog stick (adding a second one is NOT innovative) rumble (also not innovative if Nintendo did it first) and a camera which is not original ethr
Pooverse 1 year ago

Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse and sony's ps1 was the first console to sell 100 million consoles in its life cycle and the ps2 still holds the fastest to sell 100 million and it still the console to sell the most ever in a life cycle and from the time sony entered the gaming industry it went from a 2.5 million dollar a year industry to a 25 million dollar a year industry so you could say Nintendo put the gaming industry on life support and sony gave it a hart transplant
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 said " you could say Nintendo put the gaming industry on life support and sony gave it a hart transplant "
Yeah by throwing non-gaming corporate money at Nintendo innovative ideas. Anybody could do what sony did, given enough money and foresight. What Sony did to Nintendo would be the equivalent of Toyota coming out with a 3dhd system next year with ps move controls, blueray, and better graphics for 200 dollars. Then sony struggling because they don't have car sales to lean on.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse now back to the thumb stick you sed (A thumb stick opens up the rest of your hand for shoulder and face buttons) that was sonys idea cus nintendo had it in the middle so eater you had to let go of the d-pad and left shoulder button or you had to let go of the button pad and the right shoulder button sony put them in the right place and added the l/r 3 buttons under them so nintendo improved the joystick and made the thumb stick and sony improved the thumb stick and made it perfect
budtoker13 1 year ago
@Pooverse and another thing on you who uses joysticks anymore you ever go to a arcade and see thumb sticks and what about the arcade sticks for ps3 xbox 360 for games like street fighter and teken and games like that thy have joysticks don't thy so i guess ppl still do use joysticks don't thy LOL besides a thumb stick is a small joystick and the thumb stick acts the same works the same you know a compact car is still a car and a midget is still a person no mater the size
budtoker13 1 year ago
@Pooverse and if you know you d-pad history it was first featered on the Intellivision not Nintendo Intellivision came out in 1980 famacon 1981 and nes 1982 looks like Nintendo copied some one else agen LOL

@budtoker13 said " d-pad history it was first featered on the Intellivision not Nintendo "
WOW nice try dude Intellivision had a directional disc in 1980 the SAME year Nintendo realsed it's game and watch series which ACTUALLY had a d-PAD not d-DISC.
Nice try dude.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse d-pad is a directional pad you push the pad you move in a direction you did not say arrow buttons the disc on the intelovition was a 16 directional pad so there for it is a d-pad if you want arrow buttons in a cross pattern then you half to give credit to cosmic hunter on microvition in 1981 and famicom was released in japan in 1983 the released as nes in us in 1985
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 only way sony copied wii was with the accelerometers and gyros but wii was not the first to use those in a controller but thats not what makes the move the move the ball on the end it its what gives it its accuracy the cam allows for augmented reality fill 3d interface and a tun more stuff we can only dream of every one copy's/improves on every thing the wheel became a wagon the wagon became a car
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 said "every one copy's/improves on every thing the wheel became a wagon the wagon became a car "
Credit should be given where credit is do. So Nintendo says your welcome for ps move coming out. Without wii, sony wouldn't have to "copy/improve" anything. Without n64 sony would never have to "improve" the analog thumb stick. Without starfox 64 sony wouldn't have improve rumble.
If you can name some things that sony did that Nintendo copied it might not make sony look so pathetic.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse credit is do to arcades Odessa intelavition atari nintendo sega sony but not microsoft cus all thy have dun is screw up the industry but you cant say sony copied without admitting nintendo copied to nintendo made a crap thumb stick out of a joystick sony took the crap thumb stick and made it what it is today and nintendo copied ps2 with dvd wii uses dvd disc right how about 2 thumb sticks on the game cube and it used dvd to
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 said "only way sony copied wii was with the accelerometers and gyros"
Don't forget the second analog stick controller. nunchuk/"navagation controller"
simple one-handed design,
Light tracking,
and pointer integration. (Nintendo says your very welcome for that FPS fans)
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse light tracking only reason move lights up is so you can play in any light condition its not tracking light its tracking shape and color and there were 1 handed mouse designs for presentation that use a thumb stick and ir pointers in pc even before Nintendo made the wii mote hell nintendo even got sued over it and settled out of cort so if thy dint copy some one why would thy settle out of court and back on the thumb stick joysticks for pc had the hat switch witch is like a thumb stick
budtoker13 1 year ago
@Pooverse and on the nav controler so the nunchuck has a d-pad and a l3 and 2 face buttons wait theirs one of thos innovations as you would call it right oh and it dont have rumble built in battery and it dont run threw the move like the cuck threw the wiimote so when nintendo copies some one its inovations but when sony inproves apon somthing its just copining and i was talking about the move controler not the nave 2 diff tings you culed use 2 moves for the same purpose like the fight
budtoker13 1 year ago

Even organizing your thoughts in a junior high level of sophistication would have been more acceptable than this dribble.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@budtoker13
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse sorry im a dyslexic and rely on spell check but i know tech and remapping buttons is not invention innovation but it is a improvement so the d pad is not nintendos 100% it was a slow build up like the ps controller but sony has added enough to gaming to be considered relevant and the move although it dus all the things the wii can do it can do more cus its a cross between every thing thy were working on motion in the sixaxis the eye and the ball on a stick not a blatant rip off of wii
budtoker13 1 year ago
@Pooverse if you cut the ds3 in half you will see the nave is just the left half of the controller and sony already had something like it for the final fantasy games so is it a rip off of the nuncuck or a redesign of a earlier controller don't believe me look up ASCII GRIP 2 so what is it a nunchuck rip off or a redesign
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 said " if you want arrow buttons in a cross pattern then you half to give credit to cosmic hunter on microvition in 1981"
NOOOOOO you give credit to NINTENDOS GAME & WATCH from 1980 dude...like I just said...Can you read? The intellivison control is described as a directional DISC...Do you see sony and micro using a directional disc nowdays? NO they use the d-pad, which Nintendo innovated. Nintendo even has the cross shape patented.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse i dont know what crack your smoking but the nes did not come out in 1980 in japan it came out in 1983 and usa in 1985 learn your nintendo history and look op d-pad history and you will find the same answers i did

@Pooverse and sony only got in to the gaming industry cus nintendo backed out of the contracted to make the snescd cus thy sed cd was not the future of gaming but sony know better and made the ps1 then with ps2 thy added dvd which ms and nintendo still use and both try and say bd is not the way to go sony has be doing there thing and improving gaming for the better nintendo comes out with the wii sony shows them up with there ball on a sick project
budtoker13 1 year ago
@budtoker13 said "cus thy sed cd was not the future of gaming but ony know better and made the ps1 then with ps2 thy added dvd which ms and nintendo"
Nintendo uses a proprietary disc format not dvd's and besides dvd is NOT innovative it's an obvious technical improvement. Like going from 16 bit to 32 bit. That’s just keeping up with the technology curve, which is the opposite of innovation.
Which is exactly my point about micro and sony. They don't innovate they just make things current.
Pooverse 1 year ago
@Pooverse nintendo was making a cd add on with sony thy dropped sony sony made it on there own ps1 ps2 thy ushered in dvd dvd would not be what it is without sony promoting it just like bd you could say the same about the thumb stick its just a joystick for you thumb not innovative the d pad was just a reconfiguration of what came before so not innovative by your stander vibration that was not even nintendo it was imertion look up th law suit agents nintendo sony and ms so not innovative

Nintendo's employees are optimizers.

even though we can now see that nintendos new console is not innovative in anyway i would bet you that all the nintendo fanboys still claim that it was nintendos idea first just like with analog sticks ( which atari had b4 ) and other ideas
ilorvygjm 8 months ago
@ilorvygjm Well, you're a very judgmental person, huh? Your name is just a bunch of gibberish so I'll assume you don't know anything.
