That goal was the most dissapointing time in over 30 years following St Johnstone was down at Hamilton that day Saints had a travelling support of over 4000 (cant even get that a home now) and just about evreybody was heartbroken or in tears. Still all worked out well in the end where are Gretna now?
so sorry for what happened at gretna, i support a local non league team (alfreton town) and although id love to see us take the same journey gretna did id dread the thought of not having a club to support if it went tits up like it did at
lol. I remember coming out of Tannadice and hearing a massive roar from a pub I was passing by and walking in to see this goal flash up. Cannae imagine how gutting that would have been for the St. J fans through at(I think) Brechin that day.
Poor St Johnstone indeed....the cruelest result! Remember it wasnt televised and having to refresh teletext every couple of seconds.....and my dad and i in mid conversation on the phone as we both went "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Screw Gretna, Leicester won and are safe.

Was at the game. Absolute sickener for me as County went down. Gretna- a team built on nothing but false promises and look where it got them.

Crawley Town could be next to go like gretna , spending like a league one club but will never have the support to sustain it
