I am a die hard Metallica fan...and Loved Death Magnetic but the only song that threw me the fuck off was Suicide and Redemption...I thought it would be more dark at first than bright at the end...like a Metallica Instrumental usually fucking is...but this is a cool instrumental just not a Metallica Instrumental I would of said play ...to live is to die...but I understand why they don't out of respect for Cliff.

Its the worst out of 4. I listen to Ktulu, Orion and To live is to die and they still blow me away. They are perfect. This one just doesnt seem to be like that to me. Seems like its just throw together and not as thought out as the others. But the middle section I think is great but thats it.

Alright so you have a point. Some of their best solos had wah in them. Like Battery and Dyers Eve. But what I'm getting at is, yeah wah is fine every couple of songs, but to have a wah solo in every song, it gets really old really fast.

This is great but still feel this music is a walk in the park for an accomplished band like Metallica they still haven't quite surpassed And Justice For All... They should be looking to press quality bands like Testament and Megadeth, of course in terms of commercial success they kick both those bands arses but in my humble opinion I really think the standard of playing and composition could be alot better than where it is at the moment.

I agree. Kirk abuses the wah way too much. The entire Death Magnetic album had wah effect solos. It's also annoying how he adds wah to older solos that don't need it. I used to like the wah effect, now I can't stand it.

Exactly. The only solo I actually liked on that entire album is the one James plays in this song. Then Kirk comes with in with his wah-inffected part. If they would've cut out the wah in the solos of Death Magnetic, the album would've been alot better.
