  • @DSOXBLADE Not in my budget

  • Looks good to me.

  • Just awesome!!!! He's lucky to have you!

  • ugh.. tiny, ugly, cheap speakers :/

  • Thumbs up if you want a media room just like

  • Tassimo!

  • meanwhile in Africa

  • nice. my home was only 7k, and totally rocks out!

  • looks like a hotel...!

  • Why did you go with a projector and not a flat panel tv? Just curious?

  • @heardcountybrave Cost!!!

  • @heardcountybrave it isnt a theater if it dosnt have a proection screen

  • damn you are really rich

  • REALLY NICE

  • Very jealous

  • nice setup. how long it took you to afford it?

  • @angeltechdude We are old people!!!

  • dr pepper yuk haha but nice theatre love it

  • you did this for your husband!?

my setup is no where near as extravagent as that... but wow...

i hope i find a woman like you one day...

  • Like the brown walls

  • One day i will get one

  • All you need now is a 9.2 surround sound from definitive technology, a blu-ray player, and onkyo 9.2 surround receiver.

  • I love the show 24!

  • that is one BEAUTIFUL setup!!

  • @rgcoolm Thank u so much!

  • @mkayreagan Very well done! I have my projector set up something like this but that t.v. is beautiful! and the decor is perfect accenting the paint and everything else, good job once again! ;) P.S. Love the mini bar :P

  • LOOKS GREAT! FRAMED MOVIE POSTERS ARE A NICE ADDED TOUCH!

  • how have yoi got such good brightness on the screen with that much light what screen are you using ??

  • awesome! is the wiring for the speakers in the wall or is it cleverly hidden?

  • @kingkongwong007 Thanks! I would have to say cleverly hidden. Existing subfloor and attic construction would have made in-wall retrofit very difficult.

  • VERY NICE PLACE CONGRATULATIONS !

  • lucky guy! im lovin that tv

  • cool check mine out!!!

  • i would black out the sunlight and get it soundproof

  • Care to share color code of the walls. Your setup looks awsome.

  • @funlvr4life Thanks! The wall color is Sherwin Williams "Toasty" in flat finish. Don't know the code.

  • that is the ultimate setup!!

  • @pheet Thanks!!!!

  • Very Nice setup!

  • Very Nice :))

  • I can't stop watching this! XP....You should check our my video, I just updated my room and its almost exactly the same size as yours. :)

  • i think im going to cry...lol thats wicked

  • it seems to me that when playing any videos, either on youtube, or even in your case, the 1080p TV, the images are not smooth, and are kind of choppy. Is this natural? just curious. one day i would love to have a hometheatre!

  • @BrianHicks007 It's may be your connection speed or a lot of network congestion. Playback should be smooth. Sometimes it's just YouTube.

  • @BrianHicks007 uummh you watch tv from too close distance ?? there should be around 2-4 meter between you and tv. then the quality is good

  • @Laquun Screen is 11 feet from the seating, as recommended for this projector and a 100" screen.

  • Extremely elegant yet cozy setup for a HT. Fancy, but not pompous, a dream come true for the average man that is not really an audiophile. Just the fact that you care so much for your husband to go after such trouble should already make him a happy man - which I am sure he is. Congrats from Brazil.

  • @NachoBelgrande Thank you for your kind comments and for making my day!

  • how much did this cost and is it worth it in the end result and i cant believe you done it yourself! wonderful room

  • @ohitsdan It was SOOOO worth about $15,000 with all the equipment, materials and new furnishings. We use it all the time for sports and movies; also my office area, so not a single-use room like a dedicated theater. The granite counter was a splurge, but we plan to stay in this house til they drag us away to the rest home :-) Thanks for your kind comment!

  • @mkayreagan Only $15k?? Why, I've got that in spare change in my sofa!

    Not. :(

  • There is a HDMI cable that runs from the receiver (in cabinet) under the rug then behind the back wall up to the projector and a cat6 cable that runs the same way back to the router. The speaker cables run along or under the baseboards. I used plastic channels that blend in with the woodwork where I could. Due to the construction method used, I couldn't run anything under the floor or thru the attic. But it looks pretty good for a DIY job.

  • The song is so damn cool!!

Does anyone know where its from?

  • @jasonantbro I did it with GarageBand, one of the canned blues tunes, I think. Glad you like it.

  • how did u connect your TV to other devices without seeing any cables???did u run cables behind the wall ? thanks

  • @hereistand2008 My response is above - I think. Sorry forgot to hit reply.

  • @TheMrAmazone Thank you!!!

  • You're a good wife

  • @DjAces11 You betcha! Thanks!!!

  • BRAVO!

  • What color paint is that? I like it alot and want it on my walls.

  • @Jacked2100 Paint is Sherwin Williams "Toasty" in flat finish.

  • Did you win the lottery?

  • @Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh No, she made a little budget to make it for her husband.

  • only ONE beer?!

  • what a woman....I just got the Onkyo 808 today...it's in the mail...I'm definitely going to save my pennies for the Aperion speakers...the cherry veneer is nice!

cool room....but I gotta take points off for the Giants memorabilia....Go Patriots!!!

  • aperion speakers really cool!

  • Love it

  • you know what would really set that room of nice. is lights behind the tv. not that you need them the room is amazing

  • OMG OMG!!!Mm snack bar!!You amazing!!but i just wanna know how much did all that all costed!!??

  • cool but not big enough imo

  • can i ask where u find the palm tree at very nice

  • That is awesome. I am wanting to do something very similar in my basement but it's going to to cost a pretty good coin. The researching is driving me nuts though.

  • WOW! im 13 and when im older this is what i dream for :D

  • love your room

  • where did you get the poster frames?

  • That is amazing! I especially like the refreshment bar. I'm going to copy your idea except I'll want a 24" fridge instead. Where did you get the granite remnant?

  • @MrPicoSun Thanks! I went to a local dealer, Continental Granite in Bunnell FL. Most dealers have remnants left from their big kitchen jobs. Perfect!

  • i like the music.

  • What a lucky guy! Amazing present...

  • I think....yep, yep...my heart skipped a few beats....

  • how much in total did all this end up being

  • Wow! I'd pay you to design something like that for me!

  • @typeone8 Thanks so much. You made my day!

  • You lucky bastard...

  • Awsome! Good JOB!

  • hey men congr. good dec and desing ****

  • You should really do something about those windows... curtains maybe?(no offense in your way of design or anything, but I could see how those windows could mess up the lighting and all)

  • @Just4Th3Lulz I shot the video during the day and with the lights on, but we use the big screen mostly at night. It works fine for us with just the plantation shutters.

  • Mehh, I would like to see a better speaker system...

  • jack bauer and the BENGALS!!!

  • i hate you...that was a complement.

  • @2008PS3 LOL! Thanx!

  • @mkayreagan how many people did it take to wall mount that tv :P

  • @lestat34208 Only two people. It's a screen, not a TV, so it's lightweight. I mounted the 4 hanging screws on the wall. Then a (big male) friend helped me hang the screen.

  • what room color is that on the walls? looks nice

  • @TheNightlife123 Sherwin Williams Toasty, flat finish

  • wheres my invite bud>?lol

  • Great video. You have a awesome home! Nice work!

  • What kind of speakers are you using and where do you keep you receiver? Also what is the name and brand of the new color wall? Looks Awesome!

  • @MakeLuvNotKids Thanks! Aperion Speakers. Denon receiver is in the console under the screen. Wall color is "Toasty" by Sherwin Williams.

  • oh, it's because its a projector duh

  • i luv how theres not a bunch of cords hanging from the tv

it always makes the whole setup look really tacky and sloppy

  • wow, what a lucky guy. did you use any hdmi cables? how did you hide the cables?

  • @Assassin7456 35 ft. HDMI cable runs from the console under the floor to behind the back wall up to the projector.

  • What ikea cabinets are those and countertop? I've been searching and searching the ikea website and can't find anything remotely close to what u have there for your little snack bar..thanks!

  • I wana build something like this for my room wich is made only for home theater but im still wondering how much was the budget for the decour? I have all the equipments i want in the room i just wana remodel it/paintjob so it dosent look like a cable mess lol and put some rug on the place then ill be happy

  • @damedus I spent about $5,000 on the decorating including snack bar, but not the sofa and shutters - already had those.

  • nice room what size t.v is that i has a 50 inch .........what size is that ?

  • @3micah It's a front projector with 100 inch screen.

  • beautiful

  • I recently set up my own home theater room and it came very similar to this. I would love it if you could send me the links to the pieces you used the beverage cooler and the microwave cabinet for. It would be extremely helpful! Nice room ^_^

  • This room looks amazing! We are going to be adding a Media room to our home as well as another master suite. I love this color with the white gloss trim! Great Job!

  • All i can say is your room setup looks awsome!! Really nice. I like the before and after. Nice job

  • @NickRama86 Thanks so much!

  • Your DIY Snack bar. did you made it yourself by hand or did you have some costumer service to build it for you?

  • @GreenArrow1616 I assembled the IKEA cabinets around the beverage cooler I bought online. Then I bought a granite remnant that the local dealer cut to size and installed for the countertop.

  • @mkayreagan would you come do mine if i payed u :-) im in the uk thanks

  • @mcgerry6969 Love the UK!

  • where can i buy a wife like that ?

  • This is my dream... i´m Brazilian... congratulations...for your living room

  • Very nice!

My wife and I moved into our first apartment in December and I had cables installed into the false ceilings, as I new I would be buying a projector. Finally got my projector on Saturday afternoon and haven't stopped smiling.

Our living room HTC is humble though and I will aspire to own a home with a "bonus room" one day. like yours.

    Thank you for inspiring!

  • yea so if you guys ever get divorced ..... my name is Anthony im a Sagittarius I like nice walks on the beach and comedy movies .. haha jk

  • I've read excellent reviews about Aperion speakers - nice choice. 7.1 puzzles me for an entertainment room though, since most 7.1 streams in movies are really upconverted from 5.1. Still, the room has an incredible atmosphere!

  • nice

  • If it doesn't work out with your husband, i'm a guy. And i like projectors. And i like females doing things for me

  • WOW, i dont think anyman is as lucky as your husband for his wife to do this for him, if only everybody was like you and had a tasteful choice or decor as well.

Roughly whats the projector bulb lifetime in hours?

  • how much did that cost?

  • exelent room dud

  • this is amazing! has your husband gone back to work since did this for him?

  • LOL! He's retired! But he doesn't like to watch during the day, which is good.

  • ill take one lol.very cool though.love it,

  • This is probably one of the nicest setups I have seen.

  • @jaydogg321 That's Sherwin Williams "Toast" flat finish.

  • I love that color brown. Im thinking about painting my room soon. what color is that?

  • Comment removed

  • You have a very good eye for design. Even beyond the wow factor of the screen, everything fits cozily into what seems like a moderately sized room.

  • @HorseheadNebula85 Thanks so much for your comment!

  • What was your budget for the room?

  • $5,500 for decor & furnishings, except the sofa we already had. Theater-related components and cherry console were about $9,500. So total for the project was about $15K.

  • Love the room! Curious what are the room dimension? I am considering converting a 12 x 19 bedroom into a media/home theatre. Wondering if a a screen your size can fit in a 12 x 19 bedroom. Any advice?

  • It's about 17 x 19. The most important factor in choosing the size of your screen is how far you will sit from it. There's a formula to use so you won't to be too close or too far. Check the manual of your chosen projector. Our sofa is 11 feet back, perfect. Our room is as deep as yours too. Good luck!

  • hmmm... something tells me im in the wrong relationship.

  • LOL!!! Women who've watched with us love it. Shows like American Idol & Dancing with the Stars are very cool at 100." Not to mention ALL chickflicks ;-)

  • This is beautiful! How does your husband even leave this room!

  • Hi i'm doing a survey. would you call a 40 inch - 80 inch Screen with HD Image quality a [ Home Theatre ] ?

something like a 20 inch screen isn't a home theatre. Thanks!!!!

  • I love your media room. What color of paint did you use? Also did you attach the granite top to the cabinets?

  • Thanks for your comment! The paint is Sherwin Williams' Toasty in flat finish. Yes, I did have the granite attached to the cabinet tops, for safety, stability and also for a real built-in look. I even cut the base moldings to fit the toe kick. Doesn't look DIY even when you see it in person.

  • Would you marry me? I asked my girlfriend and she won't build me a room like this.

  • Oh, sorry Benj. I'm taken. But you sure made my day. Thanks!!!

  • @Benjomatic I'm so honored. But I bet your GF is much younger and cuter than me!

  • That's how I'm expecting MY room to look

  • nice job

  • its nice to see someone use a real screen once in a while. Most people skimp out here, and really lose picture quality. Good choice with the stewart screen.

  • Thanks! I am thrilled with it, especially with saving $600 by buying from an authorized dealer on eBay.

  • is IKEA big in U.S.A?

  • Yes! Great value and wonderful style. You can't beat it.

  • am looking to get that projector in a few weeks. Looks very nice with your setup. I love the decor very homey.

  • Thanks for your kind comment! You will love the projector. I use eco-mode all the time, except when we have company. I can't tell the difference.

  • A guy could never put together a theater that well!

  • I love you!!! Thanks - you truly made my day.

  • It brings a tear to my eye. You guys are living the dream lol

  • im so frikkin jelous -_-

  • I hope I can afford items like yours one day.

  • thats perfect home i wish i had the same how can i buy this stuff from ??

  • Also is this a 7.1 setup?

  • Yes, 7.1 and glad I did it. Do you stream 1080i or p movies to PS3? I have MBP also but haven't tried it. And AppleTV only does 960 x 540.
