  • Wow, I sure hope the opposition finds a smarter guy to take on this fight! This video had very little value cause he couldn't explain any of it.

  • Welcome to Terre Haute, The armpit of the midwest.

  • no way the can push eminent domain, too many of my family members own too much land there and they are not selling, the jeffers the wrights the gardner all i got to say to all these assholes that are trying to do this is bring it

  • I like the idea of the wetlands, didn't know they were ripping you guys off in taylorville though.

hold out as long as you can, pretty sure its a bartering game.. they're gonna lowball the hell out of you first..

how easy would it be for them to push eminent domain?

  • oh let me know the web site you got this so i can look at it more closely so i can read it.

  • i really think u should turn the video u have acopy of that is to wtwo or wthi let them know whats really going on bunch of bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!! on your side from your friends in west terre haute.

  • hey I live in the east said and all i gotta say is dont take less than what your property is worth.. look what they tryed to do to the fair grounds?? maybe if the people of terre haute and west terre haute wouldnt let non unions develope (thomson thrift) all this wouldnt have happend..I say no less than 1 mil and acre;

they will make it back x10

WHO are they humm ltes take and look

jenkens ,tanoos, ellis, burke, every lawer in town we all know who they are dont take less stand up

  • I sure am.They say its going to be a park then i told them ill rent bikes out for others to ride trails.

  • NEWER UPDATED VIDEO COMING SOON

  • They better not fuck us

  • You live over there

  • I mean tto say Dresser..... My mom and dad moved a little over a year ago and their lightbulbs in their house kept getting unscrewed and they still had some stuff there. They would screw them back in and so on for about 6-7 visits. Then one day, it caught fire, with the lightbulbs unscrewed. Now you tell me....... After some research, I would unscrew them to to burn something down. It is supposedly safer.... HMMMMMMMM makes you think.

  • Dresses hasn't flooded since the 50s. And that is with the county NOT fixing the levee...... Goes to show you. I grew up there and everyone thought it was a piece of crap. I would have rather lived in Dresses then West T.

  • Now Dresses looks a lot better no lot og trailers gone

  • Oh shit this guy is funny. Nothing like a good redneck gettin airtime. Anyways in all seriousness people really shoudln't be living down there. And after this big flood we had, if you still have anything there, you may want to get it re-assessed. It may only be worth $500. Eventually they will get you to move through raising your taxes. You gotta pick your battles and this isn't one. Move up north to vermillion county where they don't have a progressive economic plan.

  • Ya this big flood we had we never flooded that gos to show we are no longer in a flood plain

  • Ahh in the grand scheme of things they just don't care who they put out. Sure these areas have always been considered low income residential but the fact is that this is someone's home. Jane Santucci if you would like a story interview some of these people and hear the scare tactics that Greg Gibson and his mafia have used to get these people out. He lives in his big house out in Fontanet with his manicured lawn and he doesn't care about this man or anyone else. He should be ashamed.

  • Thanks Well they got me to tear down my trailer They kept tearing it up and i no it was the -- It was the only one never to brun over there and there still trying to get me to tear down my shed.

And Jane Santucci saw this and said she whould like to do a story on it with me then whent to do it with one of the ppl over there thats buying up the land for the city to make it look good for the city they dont like to hear the truth.

  • Its good that you are getting this out for all to see! People in Terre Haute don't truly believe that the whole wetlands development is on the up & up. If they build a casino there I realy don't care. What I have a problem with is when the government tries to bully people. Keep us informed.

  • There is a lot ppl dont no, i had to tear down my trailer and now trying to make me tear down my Garage now.

  • man... alot of non fishing videos Dan... shal i rate them all 1 star like you did mine? not cool is it?

  • Hey Dan next time try a screen capture program. I use a program called "Freez Screen Video Capture" I believe it was free and you will have perfect quality.

That is bull on what they want to offer you. Hold out until they reach appraised value. They can't do anything until they have offered you appraised value. If you turn that down then I am pretty sure they can rip it out from under you for free. BULLS!T I know.

  • Nice to see students having more information and influence than lifetime citizens. I am being sarcastic there.

Keep in touch and let me know if you hear anything else or get more information. I'm not even in a flood plain or in Dresser but still screwed by this magnificently secretive and corrupt city.

Email anytime and if you have a link to this information please send it.

    Good stuff, and thanks!

  • My question is this: Where are they going to make the replacement wetlands? By law, if I'm not mistaken, any wetlands that are developed must have an equal area converted to wetlands to prevent flooding and protect wildlife habitation.

Also, hey, if the city doesn't fuck you guys out of your property then it won't be long before the feds do. One of the problems of living on a flood plane.

  • See the September 2007 issue of the Wabash Valley Journal of Business which shows the hurdles that will prevent a casino.

  • YES i still have a copy.ONE of the best ways to get a casino is to no a native tribe which we do no of one IN 1997 a miami tribe of oklahoma considers a casino out side west terre haute,But gov frank o"bannon opposed the plan And you no mich will approve it!

  • IT"s not a flood plane any more.

  • Where can I get a copy of what you were showing?

  • DON"T NO I JUST CAME ACROSS IT?So did a video of this caues this is my land they whant

  • ok, if you remember where you came across it, please let me know. Thanks

  • I think it would be best for the city, there isnt much you can do to fight it. Either take the money and move somewhere else or they are going to force you out and you get nothing.

  • you cant do inthing with $1,000 and no land/houes is wort just a $1,000

  • dude, $1k is worth taking the gamble on. Tell them to go fuck themselves, if they take your property you wont be mad about missing out on the $1k 5 years from now.

but you will be mad you took the offer if you do.

  • sometimes development it a good thing bro.

  • A+ job!

We must get the "fatman" out of office next thing he will do is tell us when we have to go to sleep!!!

  • all plans are tru they got the paper mill and the river bottoms and some land by where my land is

  • they are going to cheat us out of are homes.

  • so what do you think they are going to do? What is your contact information so i can talk to you about this.

  • its really great

  • I had a river house here in illinois one year it was assesed at 12000 the next it was 1500 and my a s s was kicked out us rendnecks must have no place in todays society i say f u c k em all there is also no way to fight it

  • good luck there on the wabash

sounds like your in the right area too

might have to make a trip to this river to check it out

  • I'm sure by years end, everyone will hear about the first set of grants awared to this project!!

  • i think terre haute got fuck on the fucking river development

  • Good luck - hope they treat you fair. Keep us updated.

  • a few days ago, i seen on wthi i think it was. they were talking about the new additions to the east side of terre haute..i cant recall all of what i watched lol.

although awhile back, my older brother told me about a website, to where you can find out about new retail, basically any business coming to town, or at least possibly coming.

the catch is? the website's info is not generally for the public.
