Honestly, couldn't you train them to do something productive, such as trail the scent of a missing child, or early detect cancer cells or diabetes. That's what we're using hounds for these days. Some fox hunt... in Tenessee we actually bag a fox when we go out. By the way, you should have found some place better to cross the creek. Doesn't do any good to nearly kill your horse.

Theres plenty of human traps! you don't have to kill them in order to farm so the kill a few chickens get over it, they do it to survive, not for fun!! I live pretty much in the countryside, I have chickens, one has been killed by foxes but i understand how much are chicken like a fiver? I understand if a farmer sees the fox on his land and shoots him there but going out to hunt them is wrong, and i think it should be banned.

@katiemelissax No he's not a complete idiot. The pony isn't scared, he is looking down into the drain to work out how to tackle it;slide into it or jump it. What the kid is doing is trying to tell the pony to jump it, and obsiously you can't tell the pony that in english so you give him a slap to do it. he's trying to get the pony to jump like the grey horse at 4:03 not slide into it and fall. The rider is just helping the pony make a better decision which in this instance the pony ignores.

Great video.. It made me really sad though as last weekend a horse at my yard died out hunting, it got trapped in the ditch and it gave up, and there was nothing they could do :( And some of those people were so horridble being nasty and laughing when the horses fell. Was there not other way they could have got through that hedge?

Thanks! Sorry to hear about the horse in your yard. There was a long walk around if you didn't want to go through the ditch which probably looked worse than it was. I photographed a hunt yesterday going across a ditch 3 times as big as this one. The ditch was full of water after the rain which may have caught a few ponies. I agree, it's not nice to laugh at a fallen horse or rider.
