Pandigital Supernova Android Marketplace Tutorial.

it worked, i have the market, however there are very few apps in the market. what do i do? also my camera icon was replaced with a droid icon. at first i freaked and thought i had no camera. however when i went into all apps my camera was there and worked. i moved it to the front screen. really need help on the market though.

Have a question. first off I have a PD Nova the 7". Worked fine but i did it first instead of updating the firmware, will this matter if after i have done this to update firmware?

@69MEGAMATRIX Try downloading it again. It may be your internet connection that is failing to complete the download. If that doesn't work then try downloading it to a PC and transferring it to your SuperNova via USB, then installing.

Bow if i figure out why i cant get wifi connected on this i will be done. works on other connections my phones and laptop work on my wifi, my tablet works on other peoples wifi. just not on my router.. was wondering if i could use a usb wifi just for tablet ans use my router for all the others. never tried that yet. dont know if it will owrk. I guess this is not the place to ask that question..lol

went down your list, rebooted like you said and flames started coming out o f ports, and sparks flew out the headphone jack. Otther than that it workd fine. Was as easy as 123. as long as they follow your dierections to the T i cant see anything to go wrong. By the time i got around to adding marketplace. i just got it in tabou t3pm today. just when i was all done and ready to download an app.. battery died. so i have to wait for that. but it did work well, thnks

Supernova as in the supernova 8, is this what this was done on . Incase poeple try on different ones from pandigital it may not work. I have the super * one

@mpsarge2 Yes this is the 8" Supernova, not the 7" Nova. It may work on others though, People have told me that this also works on the star and planet, as well as a coby tablet.

Hi. Im trying to complete this on my supernova dlx but once it dwnlds the link, a box pops up and says "save as" and then it says smthng like .zip so i click save but when i go to explorer thre are so many dffrnt files and i cant find it. Wht am i doing wrng???

...and now my unit is locked in an endless reboot. Factory Reset just re-applies the last update, and then constant reboot. Despite the warning, all the success stories made seem safe. Any ideas on how to back out of this? I didn't need Market THAT bad!

Thanks, but didn't work on my Planet.

Didn't initally get the prompt after reboot, so I tried both gMailand Market and entered my account info. get this: "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server. this could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services."

eventually I did get the prompt, while backing out of Market signup screens, but several reboots and attempt = same message.

@lee19961996 That is because not many apps are supported on tablets...If you watch my newest video, it shows you how to install the Amazon market, which has many more apps, which are all compatible with tablets.

@onemrdj Are you saying you want to get this marketplace on the kindle fire? I wouldn't, because this doesnt have nearly as many apps as the amazon marketplace...but I you still want to, I can try to figure it out with my kindle fire.

i did everything you said. it went smooth but after i turned off and turn on again it didnt ask me : "use by default this action" so i couldnt set up account and i didnt see the market icon on it. where did i do wrong? thanks

@SmartKaan Go to the Gmail app, and it will ask you to sign in to your Google account. From there you can openly use Google accounts.

@SmartKaan That happened to me a few days after I got the tablet...I read several fourms about that happening to other people. Turns out it is a software issue that happens randomly...I can make a tutorial on how to fix this if you would like.

@Big66C Go ahead and upgrade your FW...this runs as an app once it is all installed, so you will be perfectly fine.

I stumbled upon this vid last night while using my supernova. I am planning on doing this tonight. I just have one question. When I am installing each app in the order you specified, is it ok to tap "done" on each one other than the last one(vending.apk)? I am assuming this would be ok, but kinda new to android and didnt want to "F" it up......Thanks, E-

well this marketplace has no Pandora radio and no netflix, also when browsing the catagories it only shows like the top 20 or 30 apps in each catagory and theres no way to go to a new page. is it like this for everyone or is it because i hit done after the install of marketplace

can someone explain tome what the advantages/disadvantages of rooting my device would be. How is this different from rooting? With this will i be able to get the newest updates from the android market every time new ones come out or just really old android market stuff? i noticed in a rooting video for the nova that it is possible to download the newest version of android market but he said there are some bugs in the (3. something) and the safe one is the (2. something). will this void warranty

@TheScrubNubb You will still be able to get apps from GetJar, or any other source when you install this. And sadly, no this does not auto-update. However it is the latest update of the Android Marketplace.

Humm I must be doing something wrong. I usually follow directions real well. When I launch "market" and enter my g-mail account and password it gives me this error; "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." then it says, "This could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care."

I don't have an Android Phone, it is the Pandigital Supernove Tablet. What can I do to get past this issue? Thanks!

Nice video. Just to let you know you can get the Android Market 3.3.12 on the Supernova. I've tested it and it works just fine.

It seems to have connectivity issues when it's laggy, possibly from installing and uninstalling too many programs. After doing 3 or 4 hard resets the lagginess goes away and can reconnect to the wife. Guess I got to just have limited programming.

@SuperBrownie66 I don't think so. The Nova and Supernova run Android 2.3 and I believe that the novels run 2.0. This particular install only works on 2.3, however I'm sure that there are other YouTube videos with instructions on how to install it on the novel.
