I had exactly the same thing happen to me a Bedford Fire Station (Bedfordshire, UK) on my birthday. We were at attention waiting for the Guv to tell us what the drill was going to be when the lads on my left moved away, the lads on the right moved away and the Sub in the tower hosed me down!
I'm attending a fire school right now and we always tell the newbies to go ask the class BC were he can find the falopian tubes for one of our engines. It's halarious cause they actually go and ask and the person ends up asking the chief. Good times.

Even the juniors have senority over me....Ive gotten a few things done to me, but the ladder being tied, hasnt happened, Ive been toilet papered to death....and have been blindfolded in a maze at the station that the guys turned the tables around on the other side so I would smash into them, have had the suspenders in my boots trick done to me when I had the minute drill test done.....damn seniors....its ok, cause one day therell be another probie, then its my turn lol lol lol...be safe all
HAHA we took our probie tied him to the stokes basket and hung him from our ladder truck!!! blind folded he thought he was really high up when he was like 6 feet.. He was screaming like a lil girl it was great..
hahahaha that was awesome....just another suggestion... we like to tie our probies down to a backboard, lock them in the hose tower, drench them, then antique them, and finally leave them in a chief officers front lawn....if they stick around after that then they are usually pretty determined!!!
lol I told my friend who got on to go check the blinker fluid he just looked at me like where is that. I said on the wiper it shows the blinker fluid level. He goes o, ok. So he is checking it and we hit the air horn and he screamed like a little girl. I have to upload that vid it's hilarious
if you get a new probie or junior tell them to check the trucks all the tools and shit but tell them make sure to check the break fluid (air break trucks only), the blinker fluid and the best of all tell them your about to get a call and just see what they do lol
Thats nothing haha we duct tape our probies to the pole for hours, hang them by their ankles in the hose tower send them to different stations around the county looking for "hose stretchers" and bottles of "friction loss" and make them try to eat tablespoons of cinnamon. (which is REALLY damn funny to watch... try it some time.)
bottles of friction loss......awesome..simply awesome been in the fire service 8 years and that one never crossed my mind but rest assured i will use it....like tommrow! lol
Poor rookie I feel sorry for him. And yet at the same time I couldn't help from laughing so hard at his expression from the sudden splash of water hitting him. LOL! ;)
