i had a pitbull too n he was for fighting when he was younger by the people who had him before me but when i got him he was such a nice dog would play wit kids hours on end n months later he was such a big baby dat a poodle would make him go under the bed or hind behind his daddy which was me...but hes gone now i had to put him to sleep cuz in the dayz of his fighting made bad infections in his head which killed him...but whilel he was alive u coudnt ask for any better dog R.I.P mocha
I've volunteered with quite an amount of vet offices and seen much. But have never seen such a depressing thing happen. I know the vets I worked for would have put him down, but I am so glad you did not give up on him and saved him! You're the greatest.
I'm sure Louis is glad you weren't the one who had to make that decision. Euthanasia is a viable option if there is extreme pain AND no way to control it or any hope of being pain free. You don't just end an animal's life b/c it's easier for you than than helping them through it. Louis never once showed any sign of wanting to give up! He is a healthy happy dog now and loving his new life!!!

Well, thankfully he is behind bars. He made bond but rearrested for carrying a concealed weapon and giving a false identity. His bond was revoked and he has to remain in jail until after the trial and hopefully after that! He applied for youthful offender status but was denied already! Yeah, for the justice system!!!
That is comforting to know where he lays his head at night!!!!! Carry a concealed weapon!? This guy is a real danger to society and all living things. Hopefully the Justice system will see through all of the guises and remand Juan to the fullest extent of the law and give him the 10 yr maximum for what he did to Louis!!! And only God's justice will suffice for the monster that did this to him. I just don't know. But I DO know that if he needs a home or funds to help him recover, I'm in all the way.

I get my dogs groomed at Louie's vet's office. I ask about him every time I go in. Louie is no longer in the vet, he has been adopted, but the name of his new parents is not being released for legal reasons. His doctor says Louie is now is a happy loving home and is doing very well. He still has to have treatments, but he's going to be 100% soon. God bless Louie, his forever family, and his vet.

Yes, thank you very much for keeping us informed about Louis' progress. Still, like the past two videos I can't help but cry to see this poor pup, but there are more happy tears when I see he is doing better.
You are all doing such a wonderful thing in working so hard to remove and restore this animal from its suffering. He needs a lot of love and care, and I'm glad he is getting it.
Also, I am simply ecstatic about the news that the person who hurt Louis, has been caught. Unfortunately, as you said in the video there is no way he can be punished that will help resolve the undue anguish that Louis was made to suffer.
Hopefully, a few years in prison (wish it could be more), will be pure hell for this man.
Whatever price he pays however, won't seem a fair compensation as he won't suffer the consequence of being engulfed in flames.
My hope is, that once Louis has fully recovered, that every time he feels happy, or fills another with joy with some sloppy doggy kisses, karma will find a way to deal Juan Daniels with an equal amount of suffering.

Louis is the picture of health! His wounds have healed and though he is missing about half of his normal hair, he looks BEAUTIFUL to me! I still can't post anymore updates b/c of the pending trial, but I promise that I will, just as soon as I'm giving the OK!

i had a pitbull too n he was for fighting when he was younger by the people who had him before me but when i got him he was such a nice dog would play wit kids hours on end n months later he was such a big baby dat a poodle would make him go under the bed or hind behind his daddy which was me...but hes gone now i had to put him to sleep cuz in the dayz of his fighting made bad infections in his head which killed him...but whilel he was alive u coudnt ask for any better dog R.I.P mocha

I've volunteered with quite an amount of vet offices and seen much. But have never seen such a depressing thing happen. I know the vets I worked for would have put him down, but I am so glad you did not give up on him and saved him! You're the greatest.

I'm sure Louis is glad you weren't the one who had to make that decision. Euthanasia is a viable option if there is extreme pain AND no way to control it or any hope of being pain free. You don't just end an animal's life b/c it's easier for you than than helping them through it. Louis never once showed any sign of wanting to give up! He is a healthy happy dog now and loving his new life!!!

Well, thankfully he is behind bars. He made bond but rearrested for carrying a concealed weapon and giving a false identity. His bond was revoked and he has to remain in jail until after the trial and hopefully after that! He applied for youthful offender status but was denied already! Yeah, for the justice system!!!

Though this monster that did this is not feeling what Louis did when he was set on fire...we all know he will on judgement day. Because when God asks him why he did what he did, he lame ass excuse will come out of his mouth and God will just sit there and shake his head. In a matter of seconds that man will be feeling exactly what Louis did...but for eternity!! That has to make everyone outraged about this feel good about that future outcome!!!!

fish, I'm struggling with whether or not putting Louis through all this was the right thing for him; should he have been humanely euthanized? Only God knows what kind of pain he suffered. And only God's justice will suffice for the monster that did this to him. I just don't know. But I DO know that if he needs a home or funds to help him recover, I'm in all the way.

I get my dogs groomed at Louie's vet's office. I ask about him every time I go in. Louie is no longer in the vet, he has been adopted, but the name of his new parents is not being released for legal reasons. His doctor says Louie is now is a happy loving home and is doing very well. He still has to have treatments, but he's going to be 100% soon. God bless Louie, his forever family, and his vet.

I'm sure Juan will be dealt with when he reaches the "big house". Even criminals have their own code of ethics and I'm sure that animal abusers are looked down upon in prison. Doc, y'all are doing such great things with Louie. And like another poster said, maybe he'd be better about his bandages if they were blue instead of pink :) I'm coming to the clinic this Friday 10/12 to have Rascal and Harley groomed, and will visit Louie, hopefully.

Also, I am simply ecstatic about the news that the person who hurt Louis, has been caught. Unfortunately, as you said in the video there is no way he can be punished that will help resolve the undue anguish that Louis was made to suffer.
Hopefully, a few years in prison (wish it could be more), will be pure hell for this man.
Whatever price he pays however, won't seem a fair compensation as he won't suffer the consequence of being engulfed in flames.

My hope is, that once Louis has fully recovered, that every time he feels happy, or fills another with joy with some sloppy doggy kisses, karma will find a way to deal Juan Daniels with an equal amount of suffering.
The same goes for Michael Vick. He deserves to lose everything, and spend some serious time in jail.
Unfortunately, the price paid by those who abuse animals, is an insult :(

Sadly, I would not be allowed to own a dog where I am living now, but I feel the same way that you do.
I would be more than happy to adopt and care for this pup. I just want to know that wherever his future home may be, he gets enough love so that the pain he suffers now, can quickly become a distant memory.
Juan Daniels is simply not human, and I couldn't be happier that he was apprehended.
