Apple LCD Logo Mod

I think I know what this does. There is a translucent piece of plastic between the apple logo and the screen. This allows light from the screen illuminate the logo. This person either simply removed the plastic and displays things over that part of the screen, making them show up on the apple logo, or he replaced the piece of plastic with another LCD screen, which is rather awesome. Both ways would be difficult because it is hard to take apart a macbook in general, especially its screen.

I can't believe the number of dumb people here, who believe you can see the image through the reverse of an LCD display.

Rear of LCD panel is light-pipe. It just glows white. That's where the Apple logo gets the white glow.

Other brand LCD's often are backed with silver metal reflector to make less waste of light out back.

actually the only thing you need to do is....

open the screen remove the white peace of paper and put in a transparent logo if your comp doset have it and you will actually be able to se the back of your MacBook´s LCD

To do this I believe that you need to take apart you macbook and install a small LCD screen or something like that in place of the Apple logo. You can't do it without taking it apart. :(

I just chose pc for 3rd party support and price... though I still LOVE using my friends Mac. very shiny and smooth running.. they still have they're problems but a Mac only has like 3 things a problem could be and if you fix it then it usually doesn't happen again. PC's have issues about as often as Macs but there's WAY more variety and that sucks...
