I heard about this win, on "This American Life", on NPR this weekened.

They were doing 2 stories about long-shots who beat the odds, and Ira Glass (the host) mentioned in passing, that this horse had run the Kentucky Derby 31 times before this, and lost every single one of them (coming in dead last in all of them, I think).

He also said that it was already up on YouTube,

I'm not really into watching sports, but I had to see this for myself.

This is proven to be among the biggest upsets in Triple Crown/KD history. I think the horse didn't get enough credit. He came into the race a 50-1 long shot and finished first. Sometimes you just have to have faith in your horse. Given the result of second in the next race the only give the horse a limit of 1 week to recover until they run the next race. Normally horses need 2 weeks and would most likely finish 4th to last but i was surprised. Hes an amazing horse and that was a spectacular race

mine that bird was purchased for 9500.00 prior to this race. jus goes to show you, on any given day any horse regardless of cost can win these triple crown races!

he's pointing to his wife...who's apparently the only person on earth who believed in him. but he gets up well before the wire, and then looks back to start whipping again. he should've been caught by another horse for doing such a selfish thing

I would Torrent this, but last thing I want is a problem. Im actually baffled at the videos posted, Some are recorded off the tv with a camcorder looking like a sketch artist with terrible sound. lol, hopefully Youtube will push HD things as first in the viewing search.

I don't think this horse is getting as much credit as it deserves. Obviously he's no Secretariat, but if you watch Secretariat's performance in the preakness and then watch this, they're pretty much identical. Great horse!
