Gov. Huckabee will make a great president. He has over a decade of executive experience coupled with great common sense ideas, and the character and integrity lacking in Washington now.
jah. in retrospect its a shame McCain won the primary. He didnt let it all hang out and he wanted to run a gentlemans campaign against someone who didn't want to play fair. Im not sure if Huck would have beaten Obama, but he has a very good way of clearly articulating his ideas in simple, logical terms. That would be tough to beat right NOW in a time where people just want HONESTY out of their politicians.
Your futures are being stollen, your children sold into slavery, and this nation utterly destroyed. You can only spend so much. The national debt has a limit. They're making money by selling BONDS to people and nations (mostly the latter). When they stop buying those bonds, we become INSOLVENT. When that happens, we're all f*cked. A million dollars for a loaf of bread. Sound familiar? It's all happened before, history is repeating itself. Wake up, and prepare to fight.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
Thank you for posting Dr. Adrian Roger's words of wisdom. He was a righteous man of God. I learned so much from him. He preached Christ crucilfied, he preached the Truth in love and in life--- he practiced what he preached.
He was one of my favorites also, I was greatly saddened by his passing but I know he is happy where he is now, I still listen to the replays of his show on the radio.
You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
Since Congress showed they really care about the American people by passing the CRAP program, lets show them that we care about them too in the next election. It's time to vote them out on their ass!! This Stimulus bill will fail!!
If anybody who voted for McCain believes that the (Bush BLANK CHECK) Republicans would have suddenly CARED about deficits had MCCAIN won, they are living a LIE.
We ALL know that whoever "won" was screwed, at least in the short term - given the nightmare Bush left.
A "failed" McCain presidency = Hillary Clinton 2012. The Obama presidency forces "conservatives" (in denial) to FINALLY (!) look beyond Reagan's "CREDIT CARD conservatism" & THINK outside the box which = Ron Paul / libertarian.
Ron Paul had (has) a plan that would have abolished the current income tax code which everyone knows is absolute nonsense. Huckabee had the FairTax.
You SEE what happened. Their OWN party took them down. You had a chance for REAL reform. ALL of the other Republican candidates could not even fathom that "radical" of a change. It was pathetic.
2000 - Dumb
2004 - Dumber
2008 - Plumber
Ron Paul spoke the truth. His LOST party ignored him.
Sorry, but this isn't just about Republicans. This is about Democrats as well. Both parties are to blame. But as for Ron Paul, he wasn't the best candidate. That's why he lost.
It's time for you to face the facts, Ron Paul wouldn't have won against Obama. Obama was primed to win in '08. I think that Ron Paul has common sense a lot of great ideas, he has experience & he had a great following in the beginning & you're right the RNC didn't throw the $ behind him. RNC didn't listen to the conservatives who didn't want McCain for the Rep Nom. I'd like to hear some possitive ideas and solutions from you instead of insults that leads to No Where
A long shot in '08 (after Bush) for sure, but he was the ONLY "R" with a chance.
In a GENERAL election, Paul gets ALL of the "R" vote, at least half the indep, & a sizeable % of anti-war Dems, not to mention the Dems opposed to the war on drugs & even the insanity of the current tax code.
Personally I think "moderate" McCain would have been FAR more "fiscally responsible" than Reagan/Bush/Bush. I say "fiscally responsible" because "fiscally conservative" is meaningless thanks to Reagan.
RP didn't even win 1 state in the primary. Having said that, I would have voted for RP over Obama and I think that you're correct in saying that RP could have carried the anti-war Dems.
McCain & Bush both sponsored S190
Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 that would've provided more Fannie/Freddie oversight & the Dems blocked it
The challenge now is how to proceed towards protecting the Constitution before the Obama admin completely tramples over it!!!
Listen to Fox News Primary Debate Carl Cameron's question to RP about his electability
Like I said before. the RNC Elites didn't throw the $ behind RP's campaign. Therefore, the RNC's concern at the time wasn't about fiscal responsibiltybut rather about electablility against Clinton.
Also at that time, the economy still appeared to be "strong".
Remember also After the primaries--- the market crashed--- McCain & Obama both voted w/ Bush on the TARP
You're kind of making my point for me. Forget the RNC, mainstream Republican VOTERS didnt do THEIR job. Easy to blame the RNC. The Dems & certainly RON PAUL KNEW the real economy was a joke and had been for years! You said it. The economy "appeared" strong. Well, yes, to a mainstream "Reagan Republican" (credit card prosperity) it would. Ron Paul (and many non-party types) KNEW it was only a matter of time. The collapse came as no surprise. Bushies just didnt want to listen.
I agree with you that RP Bob Barr etc warned that the economy was weakened & RP was ridiculed for speaking out. I was listening. In fact, I stopped spending a yr ago when the primary debates started & started to save My hubby & I believe in living w/in our means. I was a single mom for 10 yrs, I know how to balance a low income budget!
My hubby & I voted for Ross Perot in '96 so we've crossed the 'party lines"
I'm asking you how can we move forward & stop this madness?
I think that's it. You lead by example. Then you encourage family, friends (& everybody) to break the "addiction" or the self-imposed "party" thinking "box". Now to be clear - I dont mean subscribing to the "government can't do anything" solution - as I believe that is misguided - and a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Stopping the madness will take a LOT more people (voices) who can think & live your way. I think people that can live within their means have some leverage now. That's good.
Poor Huckabee, just can't get over the election. I actually considered voting for him until I realized he's just as bad as the others. I thought because he was a former pastor, he might be different but wishful thinking. Now he's trying to make a living on fox nuts. That's ok Mike, throw all your morals out the window ....
You tell them Huckabee. When all is said and done, this is just going to be another "new deal" that we're all taught got us out of the great depression; when in ACTUALITY the majority of economists agree that it actually made the depression worse and prolonged it. Rest assured though, with Barack Obama's weak defense policy, when we go to WWIII with Iran/Russia/China, the country will come out of it due to the mass production of military equipment. Glad he gave us "Hope"
Governor Huckabee has been right about the economy from early 2007 when other Republicans said we were in good shape! He is brilliant, visionary and The Fair Tax is the singlemost thing to help our economy. His character and integrity can't be matched! Huckabee 2012!!! It's a marathon!!
He IS running in 2012, but Palin will never do as any running mate for the GOVERNOR. She is far inexperienced and hurt McCain's ticket to a great degree....
I could have sworn when he was asked if he was going to run again he said no, but if he runs he definently has my vote! As for Palin, I kind of disagree. They kind of held Palin back from the media when they should have unleashed her. Sure, she's not perfect, but if Obama has enough experience to be PRESIDENT, then SHE at least has enough to be VICE President.

This is the biggest piece of c.r.a.p ever and the people of this country DONT WANT ANY PART OF IT. Do you think your comment was fair to Gov. Huckabee?? I don't.
The Dems decided that will dictate how "We" recieve the 13 bucks per wk! In our paychecks rather than a 1 lump sum so that we wouldn't use the $ [they're borrowing from countries that hate the U.S.] for paying off personal Debt So, I've decided that I will spend the $13.00 CRAP money on donations to: The NRA RNC National Right to Life Lutherans For Life EWTN Jay Sekulow ACLJ Rabbi Eckstein [ International Fellowship of Christians & Jews] Hospice & give more money for my Church!
Ok here is my 2 cents on Huckabee. Im glad he is pro-life. Im sure he is a nice guy. I absolutely agree with him about the so called stimulus bill. I do take issue with him in regards to when he was gov. he was for letting illegal aliens take state tax payers money for college. That pissed me off.
