ok so the supra prob has 500+hp n with the Magnum weighin 1600 more with only a 5.7 w/ 340hp i say it held up pretty well now if tht supra would have ran the SRT-8 with the 6.1 i think it would have been a pretty even race.... but since tht supra isnt stock then with $4000 they could have got a procharger for tht hemi and it would be a five car length race again but in the other direction with the dodge spankin the toyota

Even a stock Turbo Supra could beat a V8 R/T Magnum. Don't get me wrong, the Magnum's are impressive, 40k for 425 horses is quite a bargain. The Supra is just lighter and has alot less slowdown from weight transfer on takeoff. It's a true sports car in every sense of the word, while the Magnum is a sedan with a big engine.

First of all, you could hear the non-stock Supra's screaming V-6 twin-turbos under the hood. Secondly that Magnum could have been the SXT model and it's only a V-6. And third,I truly believe everyone knew the outcome of this race (and just like I did as well), because it's just no comparison the two cars. I'm not surprised the Supra won. I have owned a Supra before and I currently own a Magnum R/T. The supra is highly modded and likely turbocharged and any half-bred knows that the 2JZ block in it can handle high horsepower without replacing the insides. Now the Magnum is in a different class. Not to mention it weighs much more than the supra. This is like comparing apples to oranges.
