Seeing her read the lyrics off a sheet of paper like that makes me cringe. It's not like there are THAT many lyrics!

Stage presence aside though, nicely done - although I don't think I would have repeated the chorus quite so many times at the end :)

I agree with you, it's pretty embarassing that she's taking part in a Barrett tribute concert and doesn't know the lyrics to one of his best known songs. Still, she sounded good:)

This was wonderful! You critics are utter losers. An attemt to recreate the original would have been not nearly as good, on any level.

Joe Boyd called in favours from old friends to do this benefit, and Martha had just finished up a run at Covent Garden the night before (her brother Rufus was also performing in London that week). So she and her mother Kate McGarrigle and cousin Lily Lanken had just one hour to improvise this.
